《The Kings Heir》Sick Dinner

It's been a little over three weeks since our last try and to be completely honest we haven't stopped. Over the course of these magnificent weeks Demitri comes into my chamber early in the morning spending most of our time in my bed, this feeling is warming and fun. He's become rougher with me, teaching me new positions and things I'd be disgusted by becoming addicted to them. At night he still goes back to his wife although it pains my heart, at the end of the day I'll be dead and they will have their happily ever after raising my baby. But for now I'll continue to enjoy my stay here in the palace under the Kings body. Since spending more time with him I have come to find out that since he is half human his heart beats 30 times a minute, being so close to him all the time I've felt the warmth of his body caressing mine every time we are together. I didn't need to go back to Helena's anymore to find out if I was pregnant since I've requested her to stay in the palace till birth, but besides that I'm pregnant, two weeks pregnant but pregnant. Helena gave me history lessons on how this pregnancy is going to go, these baby's are larger than a normal human child or vampire child and because of that my stomach will be growing faster and larger, by my first month I should expect a very noticeable bump.
When the Queen found out about the pregnancy she requested Demitri more, I began spending less time with him and more time by my self. I started requesting Pearl more and giving her less work, the Queen wasn't pleasant with the idea of me taking away one of her own maids but now that I'm pregnant I became more entitled and important. Helena does weekly check ups to record the progress and just to talk one on one.
"I feel like I'm always hungry, the constant feeling of wanting to eat, but when I do go to eat I throw up all of the food." I tell Helena.
"It's the baby." She replies, she turns around from her pot and hands my a cup, filled with a thick red liquid.
"Drink, I can't believe you haven't told Demitri or myself about this. That baby is starving and all it want's is blood." She says, I look at the cup and back up at her.
"Well Demitri has been occupied." I mumble bringing the cup to my lips and slowly letting the blood fall into my mouth, the metallic taste doesn't bring a bitter taste to my tongue, the rich taste makes me feel hydrated and craving for me. I finish the cup and wipe my lips of residue and set the cup down besides me. Helena smiles pleasingly and turns back to her pot.
"The connection has already grew, it will only get stronger my dear. But remember, he belongs to the Queen." Helena reiterates, I already knew this but still I didn't like the feeling of him not being around made.

"Well when you sneak into someones room everyday before dawn and do more than just talk and leave soon after you feel a type of way when they don't even show up for dinner anymore." I suggested, Helena turned around with an eyebrow raised and a smirk on her face handing me another cup to fill my son up. She sits down besides me and hands me a small book, I stare at the small dainty book in my hands and soon it opens on it's own, I set the half filled glass of blood down and look through the pages. A diary.
"It was his mothers book, to give to the next carrier when it was Demitri's time. She wanted a perfect choice for her only son, you are just like her Jamie." Helena admires looking over my shoulder to the neatly written words.
"His mother, what did she look like?" I ask, they most likely don't have any pictures since it was so long ago but maybe a portrait?
"Sadly his father burned all traces of her after Demitri turned five, but luckily I have a perfect memento that will give you a glimpse of who she was." She searches through a small box till a baby glove was found, one of those gloves that you put on a newborn so they don't scratch themselves. She sits down next to me and hands me the glove. Flashes of a bright room race through my eyes, a small beautiful baby laid in a woman's arms, she slowly rubbed his head with her thumb caressing his soft black hair; Demitri, I thought to myself, then the view projected onto the mysterious women, her hair everywhere some stuck the her face from sweat, she has brown hair and forest green eyes, anyone would be lucky to stare into, she smiled at the baby in a bitter sweet moment. As she caressed his face she spoke words to him but I couldn't hear, then quickly enough I was brought back to reality. I handed Helena the glove back and she put it away in safe keeping.
"She had the kindest soul. That;s were you two clash, you are a brilliant woman Jamie, don't get attached my dear, don't get attached." Her words echoed through my head as I sat on my bed collecting myself before I head down to dinner, I started having Pearl, Lincoln, and Parker ll eat with me like good friends, although in some way we were all slaves to the King. I stepped out of my room and didn't see Pearl with them.
"The King has requested dinner with you, alone." Parker speaks sternly, I nod my head sadly and begin walking to the dinning hall. I trip on the seems of my dress and I fall into a vase besides the wall, the loud crash brings peoples heads out of doors and gasps in whispers from there lips. I women comes rushing with a broom and dust pan and cleans it up as fast as she could.

"I'm so sorry." I apologize holding my stomach instinctively. She doesn't say a word just keeps cleaning, Lincoln pushes me to continue walking and this time I lift my dress so I don't trip again. I walk into the dinning hall and am greeted with Demitri sitting besides my normal seat. I close the doors behind me and sit down not uttering a word. He rings a bell and the staff comes rushing in with so much food, the food I can't eat anymore. I craved all of it but it would be useless to eat when your baby wont let it digest.
"Actually I'm going to need blood, but just bring it in a glass, no bag please." I request, the chef looks at me nervously and looks at all the food he brought out.
"Does as she wishes." Demitri commands, the chef runs back into the kitchen and people come take away the food in front of me, he comes back out with a tall glass of blood and sits it right in front of me. I thank the chef and wait till he leaves to take a sip of the beverage that should make me throw up, but instead I'm addicted to it. One sip turned into two then so on.
"When did this big change happen?" The man besides me questions. I set down the now empty cup and ring the bell, the chef rushes in with another glass of blood and leaves.
"Today actually, I haven't been able to keep anything down since I became pregnant, Helena mentioned this new approach, now it's the only thing I crave." I reply coldly, his hands glides over mine but I retract mine from the table. I look in the cup of the dark red liquid and suddenly become amazed by it.
"Why are you pulling away, you never did before?" He wonders, I look up at him and see the worry deep in his red eyes/
"It's best if we weren't as close as we have been, I'm timed with death, and it would be best for us, for you, if I didn't make this harder." I whisper, watching his smile drop and his eyes turn dark.
"No. I wont let you do this, why the sudden change? We were fine Jamie." He ushers grabbing my hand from my lap, I pull away from him and attach my hands to the glass finishing whats left in it.
"Your heart belongs to Corella. I can't have you fully so I don't want you part time. You have Corella to please you, I don't want you around unless it's for the baby, and right know we don't need you." I tell him.
"For nine months it belongs to you." Was all he said. I stood up and made my way towards the exit.
"Nine months isn't what I want." I whisper looking back at him before I leave the room. I'm bombarded with the Queen as I push open the door. She steps back and I look away from her apologizing in a hush tone and stepping out of her way.
"Be more careful, we have a baby brewing in there." Corella says grabbing my wrist, I turn and abruptly stop, she looks down at my stomach and a small smile reaches her face. I nod my head and quickly make my departure. I dash to my room and lock the door behind me, my chest heaving and the tears falling down my face. Shes excited about my baby, she is going to take my baby and have him think that she is his mom. He isn't going to know I wanted to stay and raise him like a normal mother would. She's gonna take him and I'm going to die, she actually wants my baby, and he's going to let her take him from me. He isn't even going to think twice about it once the baby is born, he will take him from my hands and hand him off to her so they can be a perfect family. I unlock my door and rush to Helena's wing. Lincoln and Parker run behind me to catch up to me and once I make it to the stairs of her wing she appears right at the very top. I stop at the stairs and take deep breaths as the tears still streak down my face.
Her smile falter and she rushes down the stairs grabbing my arm and hauling me up the stairs up to her room. She brings me to her bed and gives me a glass of the only thing I can take. I finish the cup and thank her in the process, calming me down a degree.
"What's happen?" Helena whispers sitting on the bed with me and hands me a tissue.
"Everything, this is too much, she's going to take my baby and kill me. Then they will never tell him about me and I'll just be another carrier." I cried feeling overwhelmed.
"Jamie my dear, your fate isn't a death bed, it's a beautiful baby, who will change the world, this one is different, I can feel it." She says.
"Can you see the future?" I murmur looking towards her astonished.
"That my dear is a question I wish I could answer. But your baby, isn't what you think." She smiles, I put my hand on my stomach feeling the firmness from the baby.
"What will happen Helena?" I ask.
"Everything." She smiled, she waved her hand over my head and I peacefully fell asleep comforted by her small talk.

At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality.
