《The Kings Heir》The Fitting

"Your Majesty, you need to finish your breakfast and head into your closet, your tailors are here." Says a maid as I sit at the dining table alone.
"Thank you for telling me." I said quietly as I played with my food, I just pushed it away from me and stood up. Parker and Lincoln we screamed at yesterday outside of my door once I was in there last night. They haven't left my side since then, they even stand in every room besides my own now. I apologized immensely to them and they eventually threatened me if I didn't stop. I head back to my room and walk into my closet.
"Your majesty! We are behind on time, we have to rush!" A woman shouts pulling me further, she pulls me up onto a stool and asks me to take my clothes off. She walks over with fabrics and sets them against my skin inspecting them.
"Red it is." She says happily pulling the velvet red fabric away and dropping the others.
"Get her waist size, also the size of her breast, and height!" She yells walking away with the fabric and pinning it to a board. Ladies rush over me pushing my arms up to measure me correctly. The ladies rush over to the main lady with the board as they frantically right down my size.
"Alright, you may go, come back around 1, your dress will be done, then it just needs to be fitted." Says the lady, I nod my head and shut the closet door as the cut fabric and take measurements. I take a shower and when I come out of the bathroom, a light yellow dress ankle length is laying out on my bed along with white flats. I dry my hair and put on the nicely fitted dress, I braid my hair tightly and walk out of my room greeted by my security.
"Have you guys eaten anything?" I ask them, they shake there head.
"Let's go, you need energy to guard me, is he still punishing you?"
"Yes." Parker says weakly. I nod my head and take them to the kitchen.
"Get these two, three bags of blood, now," I demand once reaching the kitchen.
"But your Majesty, the King said-"
"I'll deal with the King, get them food." I tell the chef, he nods his head quickly snapping at other people to get it who come rushing back in with large cups of blood. I hand them there cups and they quickly swallow all of the blood, burping after the finished the cup.

"Thank you." Lincoln says and Parker nods his head in agreement as we walk to the garden.
"Of course." Parker and Lincoln leave me alone as I sit by the little pond in the backyard. I watch the two little kids playing by the water happily.
"You gave Parker and Lincoln food, although I requested them to starve." He stated, I felt the breeze as he sits down next to me.
"You wanted bodyguards for me, I wanted them healthy."
"Tomorrow night is the ceremony, are you ready?" He asks calmly.
"Do I have a choice?" I sigh.
"Well the party is going to be great, and hopefully we only have to do it once." He says.
"Will Corella be there?"
"She's making an appearance but leaving."
"Oh."
"Everything will be fine, you will be crowned The Carrier and then I will receive a small amount of your blood so we are bound together to make the child stronger, then we have the party, then just me and you." He says running me through everything.
"Our baby." I correct.
"The baby." He states.
"Can't you just admit it, he will be our baby? Is your mom not your birth mother?"
"My mom is Grace, she was an amazing mom, my mother was the human." He says.
"You are making this harder for me," I state.
"How so?"
"You are making me give you my body, to have a baby, and I can't even call him my own because you have a panic attack."
"I'm sorry." He says looking over at me as I am taken back by his apology.
"Are you? Because it doesn't feel like that. I'm giving you everything I have, the only thing I want, that I'm asking is to be known in my child's life as there mom." I smile weakly at him as the sun glares down on our backs.
"Yes. I am, I'm so sorry, I'm doing what the rules tell me to do, but all it's doing is making you resent me when I need you." He says grabbing my hand and rubbing the back of it gently with his thumb, I smile at him and nod my head.
"He's gonna grow up, have a girlfriend and they are gonna settle down and be happy." I sigh looking back at the two kids.
"A Queen, not a girlfriend." Demitri corrects, I just roll my eyes and nod my head. I heard a scream and looked up and saw the young girl fall in the pond.

"Demitri help her!" I scream getting up and running towards the little boy and girl as she tries to swim to the surface. Demitri uses his powers and gets there before me helping the poor young girl as she coughs up water as he carries her towards me.
"And you think he won't get hurt?" I ask.
"Fine yes he will, now are you okay?" He asks her sweetly.
"Yes, thank you, King Demitri, she whispers kissing his cheek and walking away with her brother back home.
"Are these kids not being watched?" I asked walking back to the castle, following Damon.
"They are, we just are teaching them how to survive on there own in case anything were to happen, my people are well prepared." He says unbuttoning his shirt as he walks up the grand stairs.
"Please watch our son at all times, or someone at least, I don't want to worry," I tell him, he nods as we walk into a large room.
"Just let me change and we can head into the ballroom, we should check how things are going." He states walking into his closet and leaving the door slightly open with a sliver of light coming out of it. He comes out in slacks and another white buttoned up shirt, he fixes his damp hair and changes his shoes, he leads the way out of the room and to the ballroom. There was so much going on in the room, people running everywhere, chefs running around making small preparations.
"Why are they making food now if it is tomorrow?"
"The ceremony starts at 12 in the morning, tomorrow." He says bluntly, he proceeds to walk ahead of me when I pull him back roughly.
"Tonight? Demitri, I thought I had time to prepare for this, why was I not notified about this till now?" I panic, feeling everything come together as I realize my timer is starting tonight and ending nine months from now.
"I didn't know you needed to prepare," he says quietly, pulling me to a secluded area.
"Yes, I did, I needed time to prepare, this is so much, I, I need to go." I stutter walking away with Lincoln and Parker.
"Make sure she is ready by 12 in the morning!" Demitri shouts loudly too my guards. I rush back to my room and notice the tailors are still in my room, hurriedly putting my dress together, now I understand why they are rushing, they have only a few hours before I need to be in that dress and downstairs taking my royal status in front of all those important and becoming pregnant within a small timeframe.
"You're early, good, please come, the dress is almost done, it will be easier to make the corrections while it is on you." I walk over to the closet and shut my door slowly looking back at Lincoln and Parker sadly. I slowly undress and standing on the stool as they walk over helping me step into the soft velvet fabric as it clutches to my body. they long sleeves are tight around my arms and become loose as it reaches my wrists.
"The dress does need a corset, but I want to hold off and reveal my product at the very end, to even surprise you." The head lady states proudly, I smiley kindly at her and let them finish there work. eventually, after a half hour, they leave me alone and I'm bombarded by a whole crew of hair and nails crew, requested by the King himself Lincoln says. I'm taken into my bathroom as one lady waxes my face and the other works on my nails.
__
After the long three hours, my whole entire body has been waxed, my nails are painted a deep red and French-tipped black, my hair is loosely braided with actual diamonds placed neatly in the braid. I am ushered down to the kitchen for a quick snack and then brought back upstairs to continue the preparations for tonight, we have less than a few hours before 12, about four hours or so, and my room has too many occupants for one night. I am placed in the red and black velvet and small detailed silk dress, but not before I am strangled by the corset, the dress makes me feel as though I don't belong in it. The tailors stand back and are amazed by there own work and I thank them numerous amounts of times for the dress that I plan to cherish for as long as I can.

"It's time to head down now."

The Legend of Ghost
This is a quick novella origin story to one of fan-favorite characters in the ZERO universe, Sam Dobbs, a.k.a. Slade Gardner, a.k.a. the Ghost. I wrote it for current ZERO series fans, after many insistent, fervent, teary-eyed demands. Still, I think it pretty much works as a stand-alone, so I'll post it here. (He gets the name Ghost later, not as part of this story...this is just the why he decided to do what he did, being slightly insane and all.) Lots of easter eggs for current fans. 15k words total, chapters will be approx. 2.5k each. Oh, and if you get turned off by crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials being crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials, this isn't the story for you. ;)

Points of Light - An Oral History of the Collapse
Humanity endures. The phrase is not only an informal slogan of the reformed United Nations, but a rallying cry the world over. Even in the face of extermination, we struggled, we fought, and we endured. But just how close did we actually come? In our darkest hour, how many steps separated our species from oblivion? And are we even safe now? Were the mistakes made by earlier generations really so obvious? Or are they only so blatent when we look back with the advantage of hindsight? If so, what horrors might be staring us in the face even now that no one has the foresight to prevent? Drawn from thousands of interviews, as well as uncorrupted contemporary recordings and source documentation dating back to the early 2000s; Points of Light is a definative look at the last half century of upheaval, prosperity and carnage. It tells the tale of what happened, how it happened, who was responsible and most importantly, what we might be able to do to prevent it from happening again. This is a rewrite of a previously started fiction under a pen-name. Chapters will be updated every two days at 6:00 EST.

Ode to Fallen Angels
Jericho, the land of humanity, squirms in pain. Magic has been forbidden for so long in this so called "Age of Silence", that all Arcane knowledge has been presumed lost and irrecoverable, and the echoes of God's Will grow fainter with every passing year. The sight of Demihuman caravans is less frequent every day, as the likes of orcs and elves have learned to no longer beg for help from those who despise them. Clearly, they can expect more from the voracious wild lands than from humankind. Many have succumbed to despair, some driven mad by their fruitless efforts to bring back a Golden Age that they only ever read about in books. And in the middle of it all, in an old chapel lost in the Eastern lands, young Gabrielle lives in complete ignorance. She is another orphan living under the mercy of the Church of the Saints; one bearing the mark of evil in her red hair, the telltale sign of a Witch. In an Age of the Silent, the Prejudiced, and the Hateful, she clings to a single hope: that one day, be it in life or maybe after it all ends, she may find herself forgiven of her sin. The sin of being born.
