I squint my eyes looking up at the little girl in front of me, I sit up and smile up at her.

"Thank you, what's your name young lady?" I ask, she giggles and hands me a bouquet of flowers.

"Lily, but my daddy calls me teddy bear." She laughs and runs away to the young girls ahead of her.

I smile as the wind hits me and the aroma of the flowers send me into pure bliss. I look over at the King as he speaks to his people, I notice both of our guards are present and standing close by. The King turns towards me and smiles softly at me and begins walking my direction. He sits down next to me and sighs.

"The sunlight's hitting you beautifully Jamie." He says plucking a red flower and putting it behind my ear. I smile sincerely at him, as I pick the flower in my hand.

"Lily seemed to like you." He says looking at the kids ahead of us.

"I thought vampires couldn't produce kids?" I ask confused.

"They cant, so we have witches who are married to a few of my people, the witches create the children, none of them are human, but none of them are vampires, yet." He says plucking the flower from my hand and pulling the petals.

"Yet? I dont understand."

"They are just children, they grow like humans, at age 18 they are turned into vampires and stop growing as if they are dead, and don't worry, they aren't a danger to anyones world, these type of children have been around before I was even born." He assures.

"Do you think our son will be as happy and free willed as these children." I ask leaning my head on his shoulder listening to the kids yell with laughter as the chase each other in the field.

"He will live the best life any child could possibly have, he will be loved so much, don't worry." He sighs plucking a new flower and twirling it in between his fingers.

"Will I be able to atleast hold him?"

"Yes, by law you have that right, he will remember you, all of us do, we know exactly what our birth mothers look like, you will never be forgotten." He smiles down at me.

"Your majesty, can you come play with us?" A young boy asks the King, he nods his head and cleans himself off and goes and runs around with them, he is going to be an extraordinary dad. Maybe it won't be so bad, he will have his father who will love him dearly, and a step-mother who will raise him as her own. I sigh in content and lay back down feeling the sun soak into my pores, I become tired and I eventually fall asleep.

I wake up to flowers all over my body and hear the children giggling as The King shh's them with a slight laugh. I squint my eyes as I push myself up and look at them all hovering over me. I stand up and brush all of the flowers off of me.

"Very funny." I laugh, all the children break out into laughter and run away as The King just stays by my side laughing slightly.

"It was my idea." He states. I look over at him as I countinue to wipe the petals off of my dress.

"I had a feeling it was."

"Are you ready to go?" He asks.

"Actually, I wanted to stay for a bit, have a talk as the breeze keeps me calm, as well as the aroma of these flowers." He nods his head and sits back down on the grass.

"What would you like to talk about?" He asks calmly, once I sit down in front of him, facing him.

"I see how you are with the children, you're really good with them."

"They are so young and free willed, all they want is attention." He says squinting at me as the sun glares in his face.

"This is making it easier to give birth and die." I laugh, even though what I just said isn't that funny to most people.

"I'm not upset, because I chose you, I'm sorry I have to kill you after he is born, but you're giving me a child, he will be mine, and I will forever be thankful to you." He says making eye contact with me, opening his eyes more as a large cloud covers the suns rays he deep red eyes pierce into me captivating me.

"I never thought, me, at 19, would be a mom." I sigh, he grabs my hand and squeezes it lightly.

"Come on, I have someone who you need to meet." He says getting up and pulling me up as well. We brush ourselves off and walk out of the valley, the common people kept there distance as we walked farther and farther into the woods, eventually leaving us be. The farther we went the darker it got.

"Are you sure they are out here?" I whisper grabbing onto his arm moving closer towards him. He laughs and places his hand on the small of my back and guides me forward.

A dark building comes into view, The King stops me and picks me up bridal style. I look at him confused until he answers my confusion.

"Enough walking for you, lets have a run." He whispers and in a matter of seconds I feel a gush of wind, I hold onto him tighter and laugh as we come to a stop right in front of the building. He sets me down and fixes his hair and proceeds to knock on the door.

"Your Majesty." Smiles a women looking in her mid-thirties as she greets us.

"Helena, this is Jamie, she is my Carrier." The King says proudly, showing me off. She smiles at him happily, then peers down and me, sadly.

"Come in, what can I do for you?" She asks kindly as she lets us walk by her into the large living room.

"I want you to be her protector, she already has two body guards and sometimes me, but it's not enough, you know my enemies, she needs stronger protection." He says, she leads us into the kitchen and tells us to sit as he speaks, she hands us tea cups and nods in agreement to his words, she snaps her fingers and inside the cups where steaming tea.

"So a spell?" I ask blowing on the tea.

"Exactly." He says taking a sip of the steaming tea like it was water.

"Im not sure." She says reluctantly.

"Please, you were my mothers best friend before she was killed, you know what it was like, she was kidnapped once, please?" He begs sincerely. She looks at him sadly at the mention of his mothers name and then back at me. She walks out of this room and shortly returns with a book.

"I dont want to put a spell on her because it might affect the child once he is born, he could do unimaginable things, that you, my King would not want to see." She says pulling out a necklace with a small blood red stone. He walks up to her and snatches it from her angrily.

"So what, you're telling me she can't have the spell, my child will be in danger!" He yells, he started breathing heavy as he stands in front of her, I dont even want to see his face, she looks as though he is not the scariest thing she has seen, more as though she has seen this side of him before, it's not her first time on the train.

"If you would let me finish Demitri, I was going to say I could place a protection spell on this pendant, all she has to do is wear it, no harm will come to the baby, just protection." She says snatching the necklace back from him. He sits back down and glances at me then at her. She walks away and starts speaking a whole different language.

"You didn't have to yell at her." I murmur taking a sip of the tea.

"I did, I get things done, and rudeness and violence gets things done." He says bitterly, rolling his eyes at me.

"Even meaning putting your own child at risk, now I have doubts." I tell him, watching him become rigid and his face to turn red.

"I guess I have been too nice to you, it doesn't matter if you have doubts, you aren't the parent to my child, myself and Corella are raising him not you, so don't bother with the doubts."

"The baby is mine, Corella isn't his mother, I'm his mother, grave or no grave, I'm just as much his parent as you." I lash out on him, he gets up and walks over to me pulling my chair out and facing him, he gets to my level before speaking.

"The baby you will be carrying is mine and Corella's, the baby is not yours, you are just the body carrying him, you have a time limit, and as soon as it's up, you're gone, got it." He says rudely, getting close to my face eventually his lips come close to my ear.

"I want to go back to the castle and finish my time limit in my bedroom, now." I whisper, feeling my throat tighten as I speak, pain spread throughout my body as he spoke to me.

"Waiting on Helena." He fires back, Helena comes strolling in with a mile on her face handing the necklace to The King who has a scowl on his face, she looks over at me and sees my pained expression and her smile falters. He walks over to me unclipping the necklace ready to put on me until I snatch it from him and walk away.

"Thank you for this Helena, it means a lot to me, I will be leaving now, till we meet again." I tell her sadly with a fake smile as I clip it around my neck and walk to the front door, she says goodbye and I walk out, seeing Parker and Lincoln standing by the door with the two other guards.

"The King?" Lincoln asks.

"We are leaving before him, take me to the castle please, instead of walking this long trip back, could one of you just let me hop on your back and run?" I ask as we walk through the wooded area. Parker was a bit hesitant but Lincoln agreed and ran me back home. I walked to my room right after thanking Lincoln, I locked the door behind me once I knew Parker and Lincoln were at my door. I took off the dress and forgot about the corset already used to it. I unlock the door and ask them to get someone.

I look out the window looking at the mid day sky as I hear the door open and close. Whom ever it was came up behind me and started untying my corset.

"We are gonna chat."
