I was lying on the couch, lazily, skimming through the pages of some random magazines while Sarah was surfing through the channels.

We are now inside our home theatre.

Ahaan and Sarah seemed busy viewing a Tamil movie .

Jaquie is dozing off sitting on Ahaan's lap. Her head droopy and she leaned forward in half asleep.

"( Hey! Watch out man. Baby is dozing off) I whisper yelled careful not to jerk Jaquie awake due to my voice.

When Romie noticed this he cradled Jaquie in his arms gently rocking her back to sleep. He viewed Jaquie for sometime while caressing her hair fondly.

This reminded me of my dad.

I smiled viewing a loving dad who happened to be my brother.

Jaquie puckered her lips and crinkled her eyebrows in sleep. Ahaan noticed this disturbance of Jaquie.He rocked her holding her in his arms while cooing at her a string of profanities and kissing her cheeks. She seemed a bit relaxed after a few rocking and cooing.Sarah ran her fingers along Jaquie's hair while viewing the movie.

She decreased the volume so that Jaquie could sleep without any intervention.

I got up from the couch and walked towards Ahaan .

" Give her to me Romie.I will take care of her. You two watch the movie peacefully. She will be safe with me. I will place her on the bed and will look after her" I said while extending my hands to take Jaquie in my hands.

"No Kichu. Let her be. I seldom get a chance to be with my daughter as I am always busy with my work and everything. Now after a long spell I am getting to view my daughter this close. I want to cherish each moment of being a big daddy. She too deserves the warmth and care of her father for being an angelic cherub she is. " Ahaan said while his eyes glistening a bit.

Sarah locked her arm around Ahaan's crook of the arm while placing her head on his shoulder ,stroking Jaquie's hair with her free hand.

I too felt the need to leave this lovely family to themselves.

"Okay!" I mumbled shrugging to myself and backing away from the place.

After taking a few steps my head got hit by something solid. I rubbed my head.

"Hey! Kichu! What's up?" Alvin and Steeve's voice queried casually a bit louder enough to distort the lovely family moment Ahaan and Sarah were having.

Ahaan jumped a bit. Sarah straightened herself while fussing over her already prim kurta.

I glared at Alvin and Steeve who were giving a confused look. I gestured towards the sleeping form of Jaquie.She stirred a bit in her sleep.

"Shoo! Idiots! Ceiling is up. Can't you see a baby is sleeping. Is this the way to behave when a tiny tot is having her siesta" I chided Alvin and Steeve in low whispers .

They grinned sheepishly at me while rubbing their neck.

"Sorry!" They mumbled their apology while glancing at Jaquie.

I caught their arms and hauled them out of the room.when we reached the corridor I stopped and turned my heel towards them.

"Now say what made you monkeys barge in their like your tails were on fire?" I asked perching up my eyebrow and folding my arms.

They snorted and stared at me while keeping their hands over their waist.

"What is your plan for the rest of the day?" Alvin asked taking me by surprise.

I glanced at my watch it is 2 p.m and there is nothing much to do here during noon .

Moms were having there fun time watching TV downstairs.

Dads were spending time in the garden talking and savouring the cool shade of garden in this summer noon.

"Dunno. Till now there is no other plan in the picture." I said shrugging and leaning against the pillar.

"How about visiting Karunai illam. They will be happy and it is gonna be long time since we visited the home." Alvin asked excitedly

My eyes widened with jubilancè at the very mention of this place.

"Wow! That sounds like a plan bro" I said clapping my hands exuberantly.

"Then get ready. We will have a lovely time with the kids there. Ben will come with us."Alvin said.

"Hey! Did you seek the permission of our parents?" I asked a bit confused

"Yeah! Periyappa, your dad,and our dad gave the permission to visit the home. Moms too didn't seem to object." Alvin made it clear.

"Will be back before you know" I said while running to my room.

I changed myself into a casual mustard hued cotton knee length frock ,which would suit the hot weather here , along with a tight black leggings.

Applied kohl around my long and big eyelids with the accompaniment of minimal make-up which can be hailed as nude make up.

I took a triangle shaped shining black plastic ear rings and fixed on my ears.

Black bangle and long chain with a black round charm. I put on my flat open shoes . My elders won't allow high heels. So I prefer flat open shoes.

I fixed my hair into a neat tight high pony. I took a brief view of my reflection in the mirror.

I took my clutch purse and checked the stuff before getting out of the room.

I went inside the library situated next to our home theatre . It is specially designed for Saffy.

She was going through her lappy when I entered the library. She shut the lappy when she took notice of my lurking presence.

"Hey! Are you going out?" Saffy asked me when she saw me all dressed up.

"Yup! Mother Dahlia's place. You coming?" I conveyed her and invited her to join us.

She seemed to be thinking. Sure, why not? If she is Saffy she will definitely think a zillion times before coming to the decision of going out. She is not that of an out going type. She prefers to snuggle with a book in the warm cosiness of the library to outside world.

"I think I am better off without coming out. Please kichu let me be." Saffy said with a weak smile.

I smiled faintly before turning my heels to go.

"Wait! Take this with you. I have got some gifts for the kids there" saffy said while rushing towards the cupboard and taking out a big parcel.

She handed me the parcel with a beaming smile.

"Edin and I, we bought this for kids there. Edin was particular that we should do something for the kids here. He loves to do such stuff. Please give this to them darling. And tell them that soon we will visit them when Edin comes back. Edin loves to get along with kids. When he heard we are in touch with such a home. He was like flying high in the sky. The first thing he said was he wanted to see the kids. But this time when he came here because of paucity of time he couldn't make it up to the special home for kids." Saffy said in an evasive manner.

I viewed her while my mind was turned in with so many questions.

"Can't you do it for yourself. Kids will be so happy to see you. They like you so much Saffy. You too know that. Then why are you shying away. I won't insist but still it would be great if you could come and give the gifts yourself you have bought for them. Also they yearn for the presence of people like you than the presents you give them. Can't you gift them with your blessed presence than the ones you bought for them with some irrelevant money." I asked while gazing sharply at her. Saffy looked taken aback when these words came out of my mouth.

"I am sorry Pearl. I didn't mean to hurt you or them. Actually today I am a tad busy with my annual report presentation regarding college. I have to send the report to Edin and he will report it to the Principal on behalf of me as I am on leave." She said in an apologetic manner.

"It is okay Saffy. Whenever you get time do come and give out the gifts to yourself I will for sure accompany you. But I am not taking this just keep that in your mind." I said with a bit rage evidently lacing my voice.

Saffy noticed my now enraged version. She touched my hand hesitantly. I glanced at her.

"Saffy just keep one thing in your mind. Those kids are not at anyone's mercy. They are Gods blessed angels. If not you there will be someone to look after their needs. The only thing they yearn for the most is love and care. Don't think that they show their smiling faces just for the crumps you throw away to them. You are a pathetic loser to think as such" I lashed out my rage at her.

This is the attitude most of the people have towards these kids. Some think them as some pets who are in wait of something those filthy minds have in store for them.

"Kichu! I never meant to insult your feelings. I am sorry if my action did hurt you" Saffy apologized squeezing my hand.

I glanced at her casually and when I took notice of the tear drop which threaten to spill from her eyes I was shocked beyond words.

"Hey! Akka ,I was just venting out my age old angst against some pretentioners that is it. From you I learnt how to be a compassionate person. You taught me how to be a selfless one when thousands are ready to attack you and drag you down to the hell hole with their nasty verbose whiplash. I know akka you are genuinely immersed with some important work. Don't cry Saffy please. Your knight will get angry if he gets a whiff of your pain. I don't want to become a victim of your prince's wrath" I said trying to be all playful still my mind was pained with some unknown trauma which is making me feel like cry and scream my lungs out.

Saffy managed to click out a smile from her face though her eyes glistened of tears of pain which I inflicted upon her through my callous words.

"No worries kichu, I know you are going through a painful phase of your life. So considering your age such things are prone to happen. That means you are behaving normal. The real worry is only when you remain silent and impassive to all the happenings around you. I am here to take all the anger you have in store. After all I am your akka da. If not me who will take care of you" Saffy said benign as always.

I hugged her and thanked her for being with me and understanding my fluctuating emotions and reckless tantrums.

She patted my back gently and kissed my cheeks like I am some two year kid like Ria. Still it feels good to be cared and loved by your siblings even when you fail pathetically to be an ideal sibling.

I pulled away from her and smiled at her. She gently touched my cheek and nodded in assurance.

"You look stunning kichu" Saffy said genuinely. I just shrugged and walked towards the door.

"Akka bye! Give my love and regards to Edin." I called out when I left the room. I caught the glimpse of her smiling face which nodded at my words.

I rushed towards Ben's room. I was received by his snoring.

Idiot! He is having his delicious slumber instead of getting ready.

I huffed and viewed him for some time folding my arms .

"!( Shall we get going?)" I heard steeve's exuberant voice followed by a heavy smack on my back which I instantly understood the log behind this heavy work is none other than of Alvin's. I stumbled forward as an impact.

Steeve caught my arm swiftly and straightened me.

" ( Hey! Don't smack my baby sister unnecessarily) Steeve said while slightly patting my shoulder. I coughed bitterly.

Alvin is great in showcasing his love for me like pulling up such stunts against me.

". ( of which birth's vengeance you are wreaking over me stupid.) I will die of TB. If I continue to receive such love gifts from you" I said with an overload of animated expressions.

Alvin laughed at me again smacking on my shoulder for which I snarled at him baring my teeth.

"My Gosh! This girl is turning out to be a vampire . See how she bares her teeth. ( Adam you are a gone case with the nut case)" Alvin said playfully.

But in all sincerity that name hit my senses like hammer.

I flinched a bit while rubbing my sweaty palm. Nowadays I become a little freaked out when I hear this detesting name .

"Hey why are you sweating out like this. You are ruining your looks Kichu" Steeve said while putting his hand on my shoulder in a comforting manner.

He slightly dabbed my face with a towel careful not to ruin my make over.

"I must say you look gorgeous in this." Alvin complimented. I glared at him. He smirked at me shrugging.

"Now wake this up." I ordered my brothers pointing at Ben who is sleeping like there is tomorrow. Steeve snickered as he is well aware of Ben's love for sleeping.

I glanced at Alvin mischievously while a plan began to hatch in my brain. Alvin got my idea as a slow smirk began to play across his lips.

We nodded at each other while I rushed towards the bathroom and turned the tap on and waited.

I retreated towards the room with a bucket full of water with evil mischief gleaming in my eyes. Steeve shook his head when he understood what we are up to.

Alvin urged Steeve to join him. Steeve grimaced but caved in to our demand when he saw my puppy dog eyes.

Steeve and Alvin caught Ben's legs.

"Ready one, two, Ben you go down!" They yelled while dragging Ben out of the bed to the floor and I without wasting time poured the water on his head even before Ben could gauge what is happening . He looked around in confusion while wiping off the water from his face.

Anger rushed through his features like blazing fire when he saw me, Steeve and Alvin having fun time at his cost.

I highfived with Steeve and Alvin whooping all the way. I stick out my tongue at him while mock dancing at him.

But what made me surprised was not all this. The way Ben's anger turned into a rather mysterious smirk.

I narrowed my eyes at him. Ben mirrored my expression while getting up.

That is when my innate alarm made a trumpet noise and warned me to stay away from my jerk of a brother.

I saw his mouth filled with water.

"No! You won't do that to your sister Ben." I yelled while shielding my face with my palm and taking off in a jet speed when Ben nodded at me menacingly.

I ran out of the room screaming my lungs out calling for and searching for some help or hide out..

Ben was behind me.

"Dey! I am ready for going out stupid and you are trying to ruin it. Just get out of your vendetta man"I yelled while sliding down the banister to reach the floor.

I landed straight in front of my dad who staggered back at this sudden phenomenon which sprouted out before him in the form of his daughter.

I ran behind him and touched his shoulder while shrieking and yelling.

"Appa please help me. ..( Dad Ben is chasing me)He is trying to spit the water which is filled in his mouth over me." I cried out while taking the shield of my father and standing behind him.

Ben seemed petrified when he saw our dad unexpectedly before him.

Dad threw him a warning glance at which he gulped down the water filled in his mouth. He stood frozen watching dad in horror.

"( Is this the way to behave to your sister) I never thought you spewed such culture out of you. That is disquieting. You should respect your sister. She is a girl. Girls are real form of God. Girls should be given due respect. Never ever dare to pull up such stunts against her from now on" Dad chided Ben harshly.

Ben nodded looking down.
