《Chubs | KSJ》Jin Doesn't Mess Around with Food, He Nose What's up.

I bolt home and take a shower right away. It was already 5:20 so I barely had an hour and 40 minutes to get ready. I don't care if I waste time with a shower, that little Jungrat has me so paranoid about smelling bad.
I turn off the water aggressively, muttering curses on Jungkook's life and well being, willing him to live under a bring where he belongs.
Almost slipping on the puddles of water, I run into my closet pulling out my favorite skinny jeans. I put my first leg in and pull up.
Oh no.
It's stuck.
Oh GOD NO!
I pull as hard as I can, wiggling around like a worm in water. But my slimy efforts are worthless as my bank account and I get no higher than mid-thigh.
I whine, flopping down on my bed. All that food was a mistake.
All around me are familiar faces,.. bursting jean seams,.. and chicken booOOOnes ,....
I pull at them one last time but, they barely reach my butt.
Stupid jeans, they've shrunk on me!
I shed my jeans like a snake, kicking them into the corner to make them think about what they've done.
I guess the universe wants me to be "Lady-like"
I groan, pulling out a dress, wiping off some of the dust that had collected on it.
Unenthusiastically, I throw it on and check my appearance.
Okay, not bad.
I quickly do my hair and makeup, the time already reaching 6:47.
In a rush, I run over to my shoes, almost tripping and leaving my eyebrows on the floor. Thankfully, I catch myself and crawl over grabbing some casual shoes to downplay my outfit a bit.
Just as I'm strapping them on I hear the "ding dong" of anxiety, formerly known as my doorbell. My heart skips a beat, nerves washing over me.
"Coming!" I yell and rush to the door, almost sliding into it. I take a moment to breathe and fix my hair, then I quickly push open the door.
It runs into something hard.
"Ow!!"
My eyes widen.
"Oh man! my precious nose!"
Jin crumbles to the floor, holding his nose.
Oh frick me!
"Jin! Are you okay!? I'm so sorry!" I crouch down, trying to check on his nose
"YAH!I think I'm bleeding!" Jin exclaims, wide-eyed, still covering his nose.
"Oh my God! I'm sorry Jin! should I get a tissue?" I begin to stand up.
"Wait," He says, wiping his nose and looking at his hand "It was just snot."
I freeze, glaring at him.
This little butt! I thought he was actually hurt!
He looks up at my angry face and busts up laughing.
I push him over and he just lands on his butt, continuing to laugh. Leaving him to die, I walk back into my house and close the door on him.
Not even a second passes before he knocks on my door.
"Come on Momo, I'm sorry! But my nose really does hurt, it feels like it's gone numb! Like it's been whacked off my face!" He yells, teasing me.
I glare at him through the door.
There's a moment of silence.
"...Do you know what they call a nose with no body?" Jin asks, not expecting a reply. "Nobody nose." He answers himself, laughing more.
I can't help but to chuckle but I quickly cover it with a cough. "I'm not opening the door until you stop teasing me!"

"Okay okay, I'm done." Jin admits defeat, calming his laughter.
At his promise, I open the door. Jin holds out his hand to me and bows, like a prince to a princess offering a dance.
"M'lady" Jin says in a fancy voice.
I playfully glare, smacking his hand away. He laughs at my pettiness and grabs my hand anyway, walking me down my steps and onto the road.
He suppresses a smile in the silence and glances at me then back at the ground. Then he begins to quietly sing "I throw my hands up in the air sometimes, saying ay-o where'd my nose go?"
"JIN!" I hit his arm, unable to keep in my laughter.
He runs away, cackling, proud of himself. I run after him, trying to kick him down the stairs of death.
After attempted murder, we finally pile into his car after playing around the whole way there.
He closes my door and gets in himself.
"So, where are we going?!" I ask.
"Well," Jin says, putting his car into drive "You'll see."
***
I stop and look around. People rush around us, sales are yelled, and the lights gleam in the dark night.
"A night market?"
Jin nods excitedly.
"For food? That seems a bit weird.."
"What?" Jin says, suddenly serious, looking at me. "weird?"
Closing his eyes he takes a deep breath and sighs. He opens his eyes
"Markets have been around for decades, they are the pinnacle of the nightlife here. Everyone comes with their best. Clothes, items and especially food. The competitive atmosphere breeds greatness." He lectures "Take a whiff."
He takes a deep sniff.
"That is the smell of every dish you could ever want for ridiculously low prices."
I raise an eyebrow and he waves me over as he begins to walk into the market.
"Most people just eat the first thing that looks good but their playing right into the fools game. There's an art to this."
"An art?" I say following him through the crowd.
"Hush child." He says, putting a finger to my lips to quiet me "Yes, an art. First, we walk around the entire market, talk to the sellers whose food interest us but, we must play hard to get. Ask them the prices and say "ahh, really? hmmm,... I think I'll take a look around first." That's how we get them on the hook. After walking around, we choose what food we want, go to that vendor and tell them "we aren't sure, someone else is selling for less." BOOM! Discount. and sometimes even freebies." He winks at me, giving me two air guns.
"Wow. "I say. "You must do this a lot."
"Every Tuesday" he grabs my hand and leads me to our first victim.
***
I take the last bite and toss my chopsticks into the pile of trash.
We had managed to get at least five meals worth of food for 15000 won, and drinks and side dishes for free. After we had gathered all or food together we came here to a park where it wasn't as crowded.
"Yaaaahh, this was amazing! You're impressive, honestly." I say giving Jin a high five.
He laughs bashfully, flicking his hair as he takes a drink.
"You were too, I would've thought you were a professional the way you convinced that old lady that someone else was selling 4 egg tarts for 1000 won. We practically got those for free!" He talks with his hands enthusiastically. "I need to take you with me more often!"

"So now you're just using me?!" I say, fake appalled
"I view it more as parasitism." He smiles
I laugh, remembering our first encounters.
"man, I should tell the gang about this, they'd love it" I mutter, more to myself about the night market.
"The gang?" Jin asks putting all our trash in a bag.
"Yea, Kooki, Namjoon, and Taehyung. We have a group chat. I should add you."
Jin laughs. "that should be fun!" He throws the trash in a near by can. He walks back over to me and holds out his hand like a prince again.
"The second half of our night awaits M'lady"
"Well then, we should leave at once." I play along, resting my hand on top of his as he leads us back to his parked car.
Despite slightly hoping we'd be going to a ball after the way he played prince, we end up going to the movies to see some typical sad girly movie. He was probably trying to get me to cry so he could be all "macho manly" too bad for him, I'm heartless. These movies are just cringy to me.
The lead male desperately holds onto the girl, crying because he just found out she had a fatal illness.
I sigh, resting my head in my hand, bored.
I hear a sniffle.
I turn to glance behind me thinking it was the group of teen girls crying.
Another sniffle comes from right next to me.
Jin?
I lean forward, twisting slightly to look at his face. His eyes were bright red, tears threatening to spill over.
"Are you crying?" I whisper to him."
He glances at me, quickly wiping his eyes. "No, there's just some dust in my eye."
A couple of tears fall down his face.
I gasp "You ARE crying!"
"For your information, there's an inflammation in my tear gland!" He ignores my laughing and crosses his arms, looking back to the movie.
"awww the poor baby, it's okay to cry."I pat his arm, giggling to myself.
***
We walk out of the movies and Jin coughs, his throat dry from crying. "Let's just forget that ever happened okay?"
I smile at him, debating on whether I should make fun of him or not. I decide not to, I've given him enough trouble today.
"Okay, Jin. It can be our little secret" I whisper to him.
He grins at me, shaking his head. It was quite obvious I was still going to make fun of him later. We make our way back to the car. The whole drive goes by in a flash, the time filled with our bright chatting and playful bickering.
Our hearts sink as soon as we reach the stairs of death.
I groan.
Not this again. This is the 6th time I'll be climbing these things today.
"Come on, lets make a game out of it! lets play rock paper scissors, whoever wins moves up a step. and who ever makes it to the top first gets ice-cream tomorrow, complimentary of the other." Jin says, trying to make it fun.
I think about it a moment. "DEAL!"
Bad. Mistake.
The first two flight of stairs creates a horrifying distance between us. He's winning by almost an entire flight.
I don't get it, my trick usually always works!! Playing them in order has never failed me before!
I groan, loosing once again. Jin laughs.
"Hmmmm,... what flavor of ice cream should I get? Strawberry? Maybe Brownie? Ahhh!! maybe I should get all of them!" He teases, putting a finger to his mouth in pretend thinking.
"Noooooo!!" I crumble to the floor, pouting.
Jin looks at me with pity.
"Come on, keep trying. You might win some."
"No. I won't. I've accepted my fate already." I say flicking a stone at him but instea,d it bounces off a step and comes back like a boomerang, hitting me in the forehead. "Ow" I rub the spot of impact.
"I think you will, just try again." Jin says, trying to convince me.
"FINE" I say, standing back up, brushing off my bottom.
What am I on? I think rock.
"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot." We say in unison.
I though out rock without bothering to look, assuming I lost again.
"You won Momo."
I shoot my head up to see that he was right. He played scissors.
My happiness only lasts a second as I move up a measly step, seven steps still between us.
We play again and I throw paper, winning.
I slightly smile.
With each play, my smile grows. I'm winning every one. Soon I take a step past him.I giggle in excitement, bouncing up the step.Jin smiles warmly at me, shaking his head.
I knew my technique wouldn't fail!!
"What was that about you getting ice cream?" I taunt him. " Looks like the stairs have turned." I try to joke.
Jin stares at me. "That was lame."
I glare. "Oh shut up, lets just play!"
Soon enough I reach the top step, jumping up to my glory.
"YESS!!!" I cheer for myself.
Jin claps sarcastically, walking up the stairs.
"Take that sucker!" My cheeks get sore from smiling. "Free ice cream for me!!!" I yell like a child, giddy.
Jin laughs at me and pokes my nose. "aigo, so adorable, like a cute little kid!"
I shrug" Whatever gets me free food!"
He shakes his head. "Do you have class tomorrow? I can bring it to you during a break."
"Yea I do, I'll text you some time later!"
He nods. Theres a short silence between us. "Well,I had fun tonight and I hope you had fun too,.." He scratches the back of his neck, looking down.
"I did! Thank you so much for everything, really!"
He smiles warmly at me, his eyes twinkling. " I'll see you tomorrow okay Momo?"
I nod.
He takes a slight step towards me, arms moving for a split second.
My heart speeds up.
He stops mid way and backs up again, changing his mind just as I'm about move forward as well to meet in a hug.
Instead, he awkwardly gives half a wave, face bright red."Bye" He mutters and he speeds down the stairs.
"Bye!" I call after him, confused
was he too nervous?
I smile at his scurrying figure down the steps.
