《Chubs | KSJ》Wingman Tae Tae/THIIS is Momo?

I'm just gonna ignore the problem, just like I do with the rest of my life. Is that a good idea? Probably not. But hey, maybe another miracle will arrive at my doorstep. I'm feelin' lucky, and a little self-destructive of my social life.
I sigh, driving to my last class of today, Painting.
No, I should do something.Fate doesn't like me enough for this all to work out in my favor.
But I mean, It probably won't be a problem, right? Jin's not coming to get me until 7 so I have 4 hours after class to eat with the gang and go home and get ready. I just need to change our plans to an early dinner so we can eat right away. Easy.
I pull into the parking lot and get out, taking my supplies with me.
I spot Tae's car pulling in as well. So I stop and wait for him at the curb. He stumbles out of his car and scurries over to me, giving me a huge boxy smile. I look at his outfit. A white button up with little embroidered flowers, black slacks, Gucci shoes and beret. I raise an eyebrow.
"Why are you so dressed up?" I ask, smiling at his style.
He usually always dresses nice, but not this nice, especially for painting class where your white shirt could turn into a tie-dye shirt in a matter of seconds.
He looks at me concerned. "What do you mean? We're eating together with everyone today aren't we?"
Now it's my turn to look at him concerned. " Yeah, to a CHICKEN place, we aren't meeting the president."
"Hey, first impressions matter! I wanna impress them" V pouts, walking alongside me into the building.
"Hun, we work at a convenience store, there's not much we aren't impressed by." I open the door for him. "Oh by the way, I was about to text the chat but, we'll have to do an early dinner right after class. Ihavesomewheretobeat7." I try to say it quickly, hoping he won't ask questions about it.
He stops and turns around to me, giving me a suggestive stare.
I take a step back, scared and disgusted. "whaat?"
"Do these plans perhaps happen to involve a certain someone beholding the name Jin?Hmmmm?" He lifts his head, smiling at me.

My eyebrows fly up my forehead and my eyes widen, staring at the ground. "I don't know what you're talking about." I mutter, running past him into the classroom.
He laughter fills the hallway and my face flushes a bright red. I set up all my stuff and begin mixing my paints, V sets up next to me.
"Hey Momo, " He says a bit more seriously, all the teasing has left his voice. I look to him. " Just remember what we talked about okay? And if you feel weird about it text me and I'll follow your guy's date like in those cool detective, spy shows."
I smile at him "Thanks Tae, I will." I think about it for a moment. "Also I'm pretty sure that happens in teen romance movies, not in detective shows.....You got something you wanna confess?"
His face elongates in surprise, eyes slowly shift back to his painting, avoiding my question.
I just laugh at him and pull out my phone, remembering to let the rest of the gang know about the plans.
Ayo, my dudes. So, we're gonna have to make the dinner a little earlier like right after class, 3ish? We can meet up there?
koo wit meh
What did you just say? KOREAN PLEASE THANKS!
COOL WITH ME! Jesus! Are you not in line with the language of the youths in this day and age?
uhhhh,... actually, that might not work for me. I was supposed to meet with a friend after class.......
A girl perhaps?
NO!
Kook, come on, you can make out with the ladies anytime. You got a 68 on your test, you've got the brain, and the body, you're like a god to them. Just this once, can you reschedule?
okay fine, but only if Momo pays for me!
DEAL!
I DID NOT CONSENT TO THIS!!
Honestly, I feel a bit guilty. Like a toddler who won't admit to pooping their pants. I screwed up and the universe knows it, doing everything it can to shove it back in my face.
Am I doing the right thing? I'm making Kooki abandon his plans just because of my poor decisions. Should I have just canceled on Jin?
I sigh, pushing my hair into a low ponytail.
Too late now I guess.

Break time comes and Taehyung literally pulls me away from my painting to grab some coffee at the school cafe. I had attempted to get him to get some for me while I continue to paint but he yelled saying he wasn't my errand boy.
Here's the thing though, Tae did a very good job at keeping the paint from getting on him. I, however, did not. I'm pretty sure there is more paint on me than there is on the painting at this point. And contrary to my now painting-like appearance, I do not wish to be stared at.
But I guess it's too late for that too.
I self- consciously look around as I wait in line with V, those who were staring instantly turning away. I pull at the hem of my jacket, willing it to cover my paint lathered sweats. I glance at Tae, making me more self-conscious.
He looks like he's ready to go to Paris fashion week at a moments notice. I'm just a potato.
"Momo, Your turn."
I turn my attention back to the cashier and order a coffee.
We wait off to the side for our coffee. Tae looks to the door with surprise. "JIMINNIE!!" He bolts off to who I guess is Jiminnie and engulfs him in a huge hug. the boy is a bit shorter and smaller than Tae so when he hugs him, he almost disappears entirely. I smile at the cute scene and grab our coffees that were now ready.
I walk up to them as they chatter endlessly. Tae notices my presence as I hand him his coffee.
"Oh Jimin, this is my friend-"
"Momo?"
I look up at the man who had followed in behind Jimin and my eyes widen, mouth gaping open.
"Jin Hyung?" Tae says surprised
My head snaps to him, brows furrowed. "Wait you know him?"
Tae points to me "YOU know him?"
"Yeah that's JIN"I say with emphasis, hoping he'll catch my drift.
His face, lights up in shock and understanding. "OOOooohhh." He snorts " Jin's not THAT good looking momo" My face turns red and I stab him with my elbow. "I'm better looking."
"That's just an illusion of your delusion." Jin rolls his eyes.
"Wait" Jimin looks back to Jin "THAT Momo?"
Jin slightly nods.
Jimin looks back to me"THIIIS is Momo?" He looks me up and down with doubt, eyes lingering on my paint covered sweats.
I huff, blowing a piece of escaped hair away from my eye.
What the heck is his problem? THIIS is Momo?

We now sit all together at a table. Me next to Tae, Jimin across from him and Jin across from me. After about ten minutes all I learned was that Jimin was a dance major. He on the other hand basically learned my whole life story after drilling me with question after question. It was uncomfortable. His judgmental eyes making me sweat, assessing my every response. But as soon as he was satisfied with all my answers it was like a switch had been flipped. He suddenly smiled warmly and told me that it I sound like a really nice person.
Freaking bipolar as frick.
Since then Tae and he chattered to themselves leaving me and Jin in a brief awkward silence.
"I-" We both said at the same time
He smiles, giving me a nod
"I didn't know you went to this school."
"Same" He laughs slightly " I didn't know you knew Tae either, but it makes sense now. " He smiles looking at Tae" He's an .....interesting friend, isn't he?"
I nod in absolute agreement, taking a sip of my coffee, a piece of hair sticking to my mouth.
Jin quickly reaches up, carefully moving the hair.
He smiles proudly at me, causing me to smile as well, a blush growing. "Are you still good with dinner tonight?"
I look at Tae, whose attention was on me after Jin's question caught his attention.
He smiles at me giving me a little thumbs up, confirming his approval of his friend.
I smile and turn back to Jin. "Of course!"
His smile reappears and mine grows even bigger.
"Ahh sorry to interrupt, but we really must be going. Our break is over." Tae pulls me up, flicking his hand over his shoulder like a posh woman.
"I'll see you later then Momo!"Jin cutely waves goodbye to me as I'm dragged away.
"See ya!" I wave back "It was nice to meet you Jimin!" Sorta,..
"You too!" He waves with both hands, eyes disappearing in a smile.
