Harris stands up "Mr Ackles, did you know about your mom's gallbladder removal surgery last year with dr (Y/L/N) as the lead surgeon on the case?" he asks and Jensen looks like he doesn't understand what he is talking about. I immediately bury my face in my hands

"Oh God..." I whisper.

"What?" Jensen asks still not understanding what he's talking about.

"Objection your honor, what does this have to do with the case?" Michael says standing up

"Sustained. Mr Harris get to the point" the judge says

"That was my point. Maybe dr (Y/L/N) is hiding more things than we thought. No further questions" Harris says and returns to his table proud of himself.

"No more questions your honor" Michael says and Jensen is relieved. He sits behind me again and I turn to him immediately

"It's ok. Don't think about it now. We'll talk later" Jensen says before I could say something. "Ok?" he asks holding my hand and I nod. Even now that he knows that I hide such a big thing from him, he still supports me.

"I'm calling Harley Franklin on the stand" Michael says

"Miss Franklin, you were the nurse that talked with Mr Daniels when he came in the hospital looking for my client. Correct?" Michael asks her

"Yes" she says

"What did he say when he entered the Emergency?" he asks

"He immediately asked for dr (Y/L/N), so I checked the schedule and I saw that she is in surgery. Then I asked if he is one of her patients and he answered yes but when I asked for a name he didn't give me one. He insisted on meeting dr (Y/L/N) so I escorted him in the Trauma Room" she says

"So he hadn't been admitted yet" he asks

"No. So practically he wasn't a patient of the hospital yet" she says

"Thank you miss Franklin. Your witness" Michael says and sits down again.

"How long was my client was waiting for miss (Y/L/N) in Trauma Room 2?" Harris asks

"About an hour"

"And you didn't do anything?" he asks

"I suggested to assign him to another physician until she would come but he refused" she says and he nods.

"No more questions" he says and sits down again disappointed.

"Me neither your honor. The defence can present now" Michael says.

"First, the labs that the DNA was examined has previously done mistakes in the past. 12 mistakes came out of that lab. So what tells us that there wasn't a mistake in our case too?" Harris says and hands everyone a copy of the past mistakes that exact lab had done. Of course that doesn't mean that they did a mistake here but it puts doubts about the tests in the jury's heads. "Also, miss (Y/L/N) didn't seem like the most reliable source, did she?" he continues

"Objection, my client never lied on the stand" Michael says but Harris already said what he needed to say.

"Mr Daniels, on the stand please" Harris says and Nick sits on the stand.

"Mr Daniels, do you regret what you did to miss (Y/L/N)" he says

"I do. I wasn't in my right mind when I did everything. I'm really sorry (Y/N)" Nick says and looks at me. But he isn't sorry. He is still playing the victim here.

"I know that you are sorry" Harris says. They probably wrote this dialogue together. Nice show

"I truly am. I wish you can forgive me one day (Y/N)" he says with fake tears in his eyes. I was getting even angrier now because the truth is that he just cares about saving his ass and not about what he caused me.

"Your witness" Harris says and sits down.

"Let's play by their rules" Michael whispers to me and stands up "Mr Daniels, you're an actor correct?" Michael asks

"Yes" Nick answers

"And I'm sure that in your past you've been asked to cry for some roles and play the victim" Michael says

"Objection, we are going off topic" Harris says

"Sustained" the judge says but Michael had already said to the jury what he wanted to establish

"If you are sorry about what happened, why didn't you delete the video in which you were lying and upload an apology video if you like public so much?" Michael asks "Why didn't you apologize sooner Mr Daniels? Why did it take you three times to realize it? Why apologize now Mr Daniels? Why now? And if you realized that what you did was wrong, why are you trying to prove that you are innocent?" Michael asks and I can see that Nick is getting angrier by every question. "Why Mr Daniels?" Michael asks again louder

"Because she is a bitch!" Nick finally explodes and Michael smiles

"No further questions" he says satisfied and comes back next to me.

Michael and Harris give their closing arguments in which they summarize the case for the jury and draw attention to facts that support a decision in their favors. After that we all get out letting the jury reach a verdict. As soon as we got out, I went to Jensen. "I'm so sorry for not telling you about your mom and about what happened in the backyard--" I say

"Hey, hey, look at me" he says cupping my face "I'm not mad at you. I am sure that you had a reason and you'll tell me everything when it's time. But for now let's focus on what we are doing here. Ok baby?" he asks

"I love you so much" I say

"I love you too" he says and kisses me.
