Sora squealed as Jimin made a sharp right turn, barely making the yellow light. She glared over at him, pushing the messy hair out of her face.
"Can you not drive like a maniac please?"
"I can't drive any slower, we're late." Jimin tried to explain, pressing his foot to the pedal.
"And who's fault is that?" She raised a brow.
"We're not gonna sit here and blame each other okay? Just let me focus, there's so much fucking traffic."
He was telling the truth. It's New York City, so no one could expect anything less. They had half and hour to get to the airport, get through the baggage area, and then security.
"Why the hell is this bastard moving so slow!" Jimin shouted, cursing at the car in front of him.
Jimin's had road rage for as long as Sora can remember. She's had to deal with his rage and outbursts while on the road. That's one of the reasons she never mentioned kids—she wanted Jimin to change his ways first.
"How long have you known Jungkook?" She changed the subject, trying to get his focus off the irritating driver.
"Since the beginning of high school." Jimin tried to remember correctly. "We both played foot ball year 10."
"How'd that go?" She raised a brow.
"Ah—I remember when we dated a set of hot twins from Italy." He began to day dream. "Those were the best days of my life."
Sora's smile turned into a pout as she faced the window. She couldn't believe how arrogant Jimin was when speaking about his past. He never watched his words around her or others. She half-smiled as a little blue sign caught her attention.

"They'll land in Santa Monica in about half an hour." Jungkook glanced at his Cartier watch.
"Can I do anything to help around the house?" Faye asked, holding Chul in her arms.
"The house looks fine." He pursed his lips together, taking a good look at the interior design of his mansion.
"Jungkook, I'm sorry about earlier." Faye stood by his side. "I will never do that mistake again."
"We can talk about that another time." He sighed as he picked up some of the kids toys from the living room floor.
"Here, I'll take Chul." Jungkook extended his arms to take the younger boy. "Change before they arrive."
Faye silently nodded, walking towards the set of stairs. Jungkook felt awful, he truly did. People make mistakes, don't they? "Faye."
She looked over her shoulder, without saying one word.
"Don't think about earlier, it was a mistake." He tried to explain, but she just wasn't having it.
Faye didn't want an apology, she wanted to be a better wife. She wanted to be there for her children as a caring mother.
"Okay." She gave him a forced smile as she walked up the stairs to get dressed.

"You smell that?" Jimin turned to face Sora.
She narrowed her eyes as they walked. "I don't smell anything..."
"My point exactly—there's no trashy sewer smell here." He sighed with relief.
"You're so weird..." She shook her head.
"That makes two of u—Taxi!" Jimin held his hand up as the yellow vehicle drove past them.

Sora quickly reached over to pull his hand down. "Not every yellow car you see, is a taxi."
"Look, there's one right there." He grabbed Sora's wrist and ran towards the stopped vehicle. "Here's the address." Jimin handed him the slip of paper as he stuffed the suitcases in the trunk.
Jimin sat up front, while Sora laid in the back. She was so sleepy from the minute they got onto the plane. These two kids seated behind her wouldn't stop screaming and crying, but lucky Jimin had his headphones and she didn't. Sora closed her eyes and drifted asleep.
"Sora."
She heard the faint voice get closer and closer. Jimin continued to shake her shoulders, trying to wake her up. Sora squinted her eyes open, before quickly jumping out of the car.
"Oh my—
"I know." Jimin gave her a satisfied smile, looking at the golden mansion.
"Jiminssi—!"
Jimin turned around and saw Jungkook holding the cutest child he's ever seen in his arms. He set him down before running to hug his best friend.
"Look at you." Jungkook teased as he pretended to measure Jimin's height. "Still shorter than me."
"What can I say? You hit puberty faster." Jimin shrugged his shoulders.
Jungkook chuckled, patting him on the back. "Go inside, make yourself at home."
"Hey little guy." Jimin picked up Chul on his way inside. The boy screamed, making Jungkook almost snort laughing. Jimin's been bad with kids for as long as he can remember.
"Alright miss." The taxi driver put his hand out towards Sora. "Pay up."
"Um—I." Sora panicked as she looked around for Jimin.
"Any day now, woman." The older man hissed, biting the toothpick in between his lips. Well he certainly doesn't fit the kind of people living here.
"Hey." Jungkook caught both of their attention. "I've got it." He smiled in her direction.
"Oh no—it's okay, I can go find Jimin real quick and he ca—
"You're Sora, right?" He slightly titled his head.
"Yes." She shyly smiled.
"Well Sora, it'd be my pleasure to pay for you as a guest of this house." Jungkook beamed the sweetest smile, taking out the cash from his pocket. "Have a good one."
"Yeah—whatever." The taxi driver started his car, and was off onto the road.
"Here, let me help you with that." Jungkook quickly came by her side, picking up the heavy duffel bags. "My name's Jungkook."
"Nice to meet you Jungkook." Sora smiled as she greeted him.
She's never met a man sweeter than him. It was as if this day wasn't real and she was still asleep. Sora blinked her way to reality, seeing Jungkook wave his hand in her face.
"You living the Cali dream huh?" He joked.
"Oh my g—" She covered her red face, laughing as he did.
Meanwhile, Jimin wandered the beautiful home, touching everything expensive that children were usually told to stay away from.
"Kid." Jimin called out to Chul.
The younger boy let out a tiny breath before looking up from the floor.
"Where's the closest bathroom? I've been holding in my pee for 6 hou— Jimin's eyes widened as he saw Faye raising her brow.
"I'm so sorry— I, I'm gonna go outside now." Jimin began to endlessly apologize.

"Don't worry about." She shrugged it off as she stood up from the couch. "Follow me."
Jimin did as he was told, following Jungkook's wife through a beautiful walkway. Faye stood aside after opening the bathroom door.
"Towels are hung on the rack thingy over there, but I usually have a hard time reaching it so—
"What are you trying to say?" Jimin raised a brow.
"Nothing." She raised her hands in defense. "Have a good time in there."
"I will actually." Jimin scoffed, before kicking the door shut.
The bathroom was bigger than Jimin and Sora's entire apartment. There were all kinds of fancy soaps and body washes. The towels smelt fresh, like lavender. Unlike the towels in New York, which smelt like a week old pizza mixed with the stench of a dead rat.
Jimin washed his hands, using a tiny bit of every soap they had. He was one of those people. He dried his hands and made his way back to the living area.
"Jimin, have you met my kids yet." Jungkook stood next to Sora as she held Chul. Why is it that he doesn't cry when he's in her arms? Amina quickly clutched onto Jungkook's leg, hiding from Jimin.
"You made some cute ass fucking kids man."
Jungkook's eyes widened as Sora's did. He pulled Jimin to the side. "We don't like to curse in front of the kids—you know, they pick up bad habits fast."
Sora gulped— she knows just exactly how many times Jimin curses during the day. It's impossible to tell him that he suddenly has to stop.
"Right." Jimin acted as if the words slipped out by accident. "Cursing's bad kids, don't do it."
"Daddy, I don't like him." Amina his behind her father.
"Well fuck you too." Jimin mumbled so no one could hear.
"Hi I'm Sora, Jimin's wife." She extended her hand to Faye, as she smiled back.
"It's nice to meet you." Faye beamed a smile, before walking them towards the living room.
Jimin sat on the white couch, putting his shoes up on the expensive material. Faye did the same as she sat beside Jungkook. Sora crossed her legs, sitting up right as she watched her lazy ass husband do the opposite.
"I have a lot of things planned for this break, trust me you two will fall in love with Cali." Jungkook started to say.
"Let's not start just yet." Faye chuckled as she sipped from her wine. "Let them rest first."
"Amen." Jimin playfully winked at her.
"I noticed you have a garden in the back." Sora stood up to see it from the glass window. "It's so beautiful."
Jungkook smiled after hearing her speak. He has worked so hard to make that garden look that stunning, and no one has every really appreciated his hard work and effort.
"I can show you around if you'd like?" Jungkook offered, giving her a comforting smile.
"Oh no, that'd be so nice, but you don't have to do that." Sora insisted as she sat down on the couch.
"Trust me, I want to." Jungkook offered once more, standing next to the back door.
"Okay, I'll go." She excitedly jumped off the couch, walking outside as Jungkook held the door open for her.
Jimin closed his eyes as he laid his head on the couch's arm rest.
"You need a blanket?" Faye asked, standing up to find one.
"Some Advil would be nice." He mumbled.
"Sick already, huh."
"I don't really think I'm coming down with anything yet." Jimin felt his forehead.
"Let me feel." Faye sat beside him, bringing her palm to his forehead. "No fever, probably just a migraine."
"How do you know so much about that?" He raised his brow.
She stood up, pursing her lips together. "Well, for starters I have two children of my own who are constantly telling me that they're sick. I've learned to tell when they're lying to get out of school or actually telling the truth."
"You know—" Jimin sat up from the couch. "You're not who I expected Jungkook to marry."
"Ouch." She laughed, holding her chest as if she'd gotten shot.
"That's not what I mean." Jimin quickly took it back, feeling sorry. "I just thought he'd be into more of the sophisticated type, you know?"
"I understand." Faye slowly nodded. "I've always known people thought that—you're just the first person to actually say it."
Jimin slightly narrowed his eyes as he glanced at her eyes. "You seem down... is anything wrong?"
She looked up into his eyes, shocked to hear him ask that. The truth is, Faye was jealous. She was jealous of how nice Jungkook treated Jimin's wife, and it hurt her. She wanted him to look at her the way he looked at Sora.
"It's noth—
Faye quickly stood up as she heard the back door open. The kids ran inside, while Jungkook and Sora followed them.
"Mommy I'm hungry." Amina tugged at Faye's black dress.
"Should I start making the food?" Faye asked Jungkook as he walked into the kitchen.
"Yeah, we can go ahead and start now." Jungkook nodded his head.
"You go sit down." Sora joked as she pushed Jungkook. "You and Jimin haven't seen each other in years. I'll help Faye with the food." She smiled.
"That's so sweet of you." Jungkook thanked her before sitting across from Jimin.
"Babe, get me a beer." Jimin loudly remarked, holding the two pills in his hand.
Sora rolled her eyes, before turning to Faye. "I'm sorry to bother you love, but could I have a beer for Jimin."
"I can get it for him." Faye smiled as she rested her hand on Sora's shoulder.
"Are you sure?" Sora asked, feeling guilty.
"Don't worry about it." She smiled as she walked over to expensive looking fridge.
"Thank you so so much." Sora bowed before grabbing a bowl off the kitchen counter.
Faye casually walked into the living room, with a cold beer in her hand. She set it down on the small table beside him, and walked away with saying a word. Jimin looked over at her as she walked, realizing it wasn't Sora who handed him the bottle.
"Thanks." Jimin quietly remarked as he reached for the beer.
Sora's smile faded as she heard him. Jimin's never once said thank you after she's gotten him anything. Why is it that he treated her differently? This was only the first night here, yet there was so much tension in the room, that no one even noticed. How could things possibly get any worse than it is?
