《Affair with a married man》Chapter 33

I walked into the court house holding Ben's hand. I smiled when I saw Jake and Molly and Devin and Christina standing in the lobby waiting for us. They were some of the first people we met. They're great. We work with Jake and Christina at the hospital. We met Molly at our favorite coffee shop our first week here. She runs and owns it. It's fabulous. And our sweet Jake we met when we first moved in. He lives next door to us.
"Hey guys!" I said walking up. "Hey chick!" Christina said with a grin. "Are you guys ready?" Jake said walking towards us. I looked up at Ben with a smile on my face. I nodded. "So ready." Ben said. "Lewis/Ray couple, the judge will see you now." Some lady in a business suit came out of an office and called us. We followed her into the officials office. He stood in front of his desk and smiled at us and the four people that followed us into the room. "Are yall ready to get started?" He asked as we moved over in front of him. We both nodded and stood across from each other in front of him. I grinned at Ben. We joined hands and the official got started. He went through everything then we got to the vows. "Did yall write your own vows or just go through the standard ones?" He asked pausing. "We wrote our own we said in unison. Ben turned to look back at me and I took a deep breath.
"I vow to fiercely love you in all of your forms for the rest of our lives. I promise to always be there to be your biggest supporter and always be there for you on your best day and your worst. I vow to never go to bed angry. I promise to not hog all of the covers and stay on my side of the bed. I vow to agree to disagree on ice cream." I said with a giggle and he laughed too. "Ben Lewis I love you and I vow to always love you, even when I hate you..." I said tears coming to my eyes. He wiped them away with his thumb.

"Jayla Lynn I love you so much. I vow to never leave you and be there for you in the best and worst times. Oh gosh...Jayla I'm not going to promise you that everyday will be perfect. I'm not going to say that this will be easy; it's going to be really hard, and we're going to have to work at this every day for the rest of our lives, but I want to do that. I want to work on this every day because I want you; every part of you. Good and bad I want you, all of you; every day for the rest of our lives." He gently cupped my cheek then joined our hands together again. "It took 10 years for me to get to call you my wife, and I'm going to spend everyday proving to you how much I love you."
I had tears rolling down my face but a grin plastered on there. "I love you." I said. "I love you more." He answered with a warm smile. We looked back at the judge and he went on. "If anyone here has a reason these two should not be married let them speak now or forever hold their peace." No one said anything. The judge smiled. "Then by the power vested in my it is my pleasure to announce you two as husband and wife. Mr. Lewis, you may now kiss your bride." Ben cupped my cheek and pulled my face into his. Our little group clapped and cheered causing me to laugh. "Off to celebrate!" Jake cheered as we walked out of the officials office. I giggled as we followed them out of the room and then out of the building.
We spent the night drinking and having a good time. Me being the pregnant girl of course stuck strictly to sweet tea and water. I looked around at my group of friends and smiled. I finally had my happy ending with the man I never thought I would. I have wonderful friends, and am currently pregnant with my first child. Everything is completely perfect for the first time in a very long time. My hand instinctively went up to the gold necklace that was around my neck. My finger ran across the engraving on the back. Ben wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into him. I rested my head against his shoulder. He kissed my temple. "I love you Mr. Lewis." I said with a smirk. "I love you more my beautiful wife." I smiled when he called me wife.

We all sat on the back deck of our house and talked and laughed for hours. Finally about 2am everybody decided to go home. Once everyone was gone I wrapped my arms around Ben's neck. "Finally alone." I said with a yawn. He chuckled. "Would you like to go to bed?" He asked amused. "No! If you want to stay up and do something or you want to get lucky..." I said objecting with a smirk. He wriggled his eyebrows at me. "Now you know I'd always love that, but I love you and this..." He said and gently planed his hand on my stomach. "More. Y'all need rest. There will be other times I'm certain of it." He said with a grin. "Like in the shower in the morning." He said against my ear. I blushed. "Then let's go to bed." I said yawning again. I turned to start walking up the stairs but Ben swooped me off of my feet and he was carrying me bridal style up to our bedroom. I giggled like a school girl and rested my head in the crook of his neck.
He kicked the door open and gently laid me down on the bed. He gave me a quick peck on the lips but when he straightened back up I say up in bed and caught his head and pulled his lips down to mine again. He eventually broke the heated kiss. "We need sleep." He said. I groaned but couldn't help but yawn. He shook his head with a smirk. "See." I just shrugged and took off the dress I was wearing and threw it at him. I heard a sharp intake of breath. I looked up and he was staring at the new black pair of lingerie I had on. I smirked and shook my head before taking it off and also throwing it at him. He reluctantly came over and brought me one of his t-shirts. I laughed at the look on his face. I patted the bed beside me before laying back down and waiting for him to come over. He eventually did. And just like that we go back to our secret lives. I laid there in my bed by my husband, the teenage girl who slept with a married man, now pregnant with their first child. I smiled feeling his arms wrap about me...some secrets are worth it. "Goodnight.I love you." I breathed before dosing off into a peaceful sleep. "I love you more." I heard before I was completely over taken by sleep.

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.
