《Affair with a married man》Chapter 2

" We're fixing to go out for the night. Because I want to be going out with you." Ben answered. "But you're married and she's my friend and I don't want to hurt her." He nodded. "I dont want to hurt her. I didn't want to fall for you, but here I am. I never meant for this to happen. Of course I'm glad I'm here with you, but its hard to be married and be falling for someone else." He replied. I just nodded. He placed his hand under my chin making me look up at him. He placed a sweet gentle kiss on my lips. "It'll be okay Jay. I promise." I nodded and gave him a small smile. "So are you ready?" I nodded. "I'm ready."
Neither one of us said it but I was agreeing to more than just going out on the town. Am I really capable of being the other woman? I sat there lost in thought.
I hadn't even realized we had pulled into a parking lot. I looked out the window and saw an unfamiliar scene before me. There was a cute little restaurant surrounded by other shops and restaurants. "Where are we?" I asked looking back at Ben. "Gordonsville. Far enough away from home that nobody would recognize us." He explained with a sly smile. I smirked. I swung open the door and hopped out of his truck and pushed the door shut. He did the same and followed me into the restaurant his hand on the small of my back.
The waitress led us to our table. I sat down across from Ben at a cute table with a simple cream table cloth and a vase with a single red rose in it. It was nice and quiet. We quickly placed our orders. I ordered the Parmesan Chicken and he ordered the seafood pasta. We made small talk about his job and my job and graduation while waiting for our food. I don't know what happened, but suddenly had the thought that maybe I could do this. "Penny for your thoughts." Ben said bringing me out of my thoughts. I smiled. "Oh nothing important. Just thinking." He smiled and grabbed my hand across the table. I looked down at our conjoined hands and my smile grew.
