(grand) mother
feat. hiroto and your piano pieces as his lullaby
“huh? you guys are visiting inakuni tomorrow?”
you blinked, swallowing your food (your beloved strawberry parfait).
“yeah, it's been a while since i've seen pops after all.” mansaku said making you coo (“aww, you have a nickname for you father? that's cute.”).
“so, who's coming with you?” you asked as goujin, sitting across you, grinned: “hiura and i!” you nodded in approval, but narrowed your brows when you noticed something.
“asuto, aren't you coming with them?” you asked as asuto sighed, “i want to, but father and i made some plans already so...”
“oh, that's okay,” you said as asuto brightened up, “yeah, i can still vi–”
“i'll be visiting in your place.” you smiled sweetly as the boys' jaws dropped.
“what?”
you smiled once again, “i said, i'll be coming with hiura and the others to visit inakuni in place of asuto.” you said proudly. “what? but–” hiroto protested, which is very surprising of him (you expected atsuya to do this, not hiroto).
“asuto, don't worry. i'll be savouring the food there twice and smell the fresh air twice as well just for you. i'll also be bringing a photo of you so we can pretend you're there with us.” you smiled, ignoring hiroto's (baseless and invalid) protests as asuto chuckled (unsurely), “manager, that's a bit...”
“but y/n!” hiroto called, whining like a baby. “hiroto, you're kinda embarrassing yourself here...” tatsuya whispered as hiroto continued to whine. “what.” you deadpanned.
“who's going to cook for me? who's going to play the piano for me? who's going to iron my clothes? who's going to–”
“okay shut up, shut up.” you said as you shut your eyes and raised your hand, “hiroto, i will just be gone for hours, not years. and what do you mean ‘who'll play the piano for me’? i play the piano for myself okay, not for you.” you said as you pinched the bridges of your nose and sighed.
“but still...” hiroto whined as tatsuya hid his face (suffering the secondhand embarrassment, yes). his whining stopped when you flashed him a (sickly) sweet smile, “if it's about travelling that you're whining about, then don't worry, we'll travel soon. .”

hiroto was about to cheer internally when you started to emit a dark aura, “we'll go to antarctica and have of fun, hiro.”
“we'll play hide and seek and i will purposely not find you and leave you there to freeze only to come back to collect your corpse and sell your organs as frozen meat in the supermarket.”
the boys froze and slowly looked down at their steak, feeling nauseous.
hiroto (irked) clicked his tongue and dropped his act with a sigh. “fine, i just wanted to make you stay because it's boring when you're not around.” he said as you immediately dropped your act, smiling widely.
”hiroto, if you're bored, you can go play with squiggles.” a white fluffy creature that looked like a teacup pomeranian puppy appeared in hiroto's arms with a snap of your finger. “aww, what a cute puppy...” tatsuya cooed, petting squiggles who snuggled in hiroto's arms.
“tatsuya, that's not a puppy though?” you blinked. shirou, confused, turned to you, “huh?”
“squiggles is a fox spirit that lives in me.” you smiled, batting your eyes innocently.
—
“we're here!”
you exclaimed, keeping your sun hat from being blown by the strong wind. “the air is so nice here!” you commented and extended your arms, mumbling, “i feel lighter.”
“that's because we're close to the sea.” goujin said with a grin, as you nodded, “yes, i can smell it from here!” you exclaimed as mansaku slightly panicked, shushing you.
“manager, you have to hide the fact that you're someone who came from the bloodline of magicians. the people here might freak out and crowd over you.” he slightly warned as you nodded and smiled, “okay!”
“oh, yuuichirou!” you turned to see a man who reeks a bit of mansaku's smell (this is weird but yes, you can differentiate their smells due to your heightened senses). “pops!” you giggled as mansaku ran to his father.
“let's leave him be. he must be missing his father so much...” you said with a giggle. hiura and goujin nodded. the three of you walked and met goujin's father along the way, who invited you for lunch which you refused. goujin then separated from the two of you to hang out with his father.

“you can stay with me til we decide to go home, manager.” hiura said with a kind smile as you bit your lip, “but i might ruin your time with your grandma...” hiura only laughed and grabbed your hand (to your surprise), dragging you into their humble abode.
“grandma!” hiura called, as you immediately tried to let go, “hiura, are you sure? you haven't been with your gra–”
“oh my, is that you, kii (chan)?”
you blinked and turned your head to see a lady sitting (“woah, she's sitting in the traditional seiza position...”) outside with a zabuton under her. “grandma!” hiura waved and dragged you in front of the lady.
“oh my, won't you introduce your girlfriend to me, kii (chan)?” the lady asked, cupping her cheek with one hand (“hiura, she isn't referring to me, right?” “sorry, manager, grandma can be a bit...”).
“grandma, this is y/n l/n, our manager.” hiura introduced you as you politely bowed, “nice to meet you, uhm...” you trailed off and looked up to hiura (asking for help), but the lady only laughed and grabbed your arm, “just call me grandma.” she said as you brightened up and nodded,
“yes, grandma!”
—
“so? how was your visit to inakuni, manager?”
you curled yourself like a ball and stared at the sky, as if thinking deeply about the perfect words to describe your meaningful trip in inakuni island.
after a few moments of feeling the cold night breeze hit your skin multiple times, you finally replied: “it was fun, very fun.”
you rested your chin on your knees, unconsciously pouting your lips in the process. you looked down on the floor as if it was the most interesting thing to watch.
“inakuni is such a wonderful island. it's a lively place, and the people there were very nice too.” you said and pushed back a strand of hair that was blown by the wind behind your ear. shirou only watched you with gentle eyes.
“i made a few friends, and met the guys' parents and guardians as well. i was so happy when goujin's father invited me for lunch– that never happened to me before; a stranger being so friendly.” you sighed with a smile, looking back up at the sky.
“i've also become somewhat close to hiura's grandma too. she was a very nice person, very kind and gentle, just like a mother.” you said as shirou gave you a look (that of concern, perhaps?).
“you know, when i first greeted her, the first thing she said was for me to call her ‘grandma’. i felt so happy that i was close to crying.” you said as you shivered from the cold and moved closer to shirou, seeking comfort in his warmth.
“and when i mentioned that i like onigiri during our chitchats, i was taken aback when she made it for lunch and made more for me to take home. i was also given sushi by mansaku's father, and the people there also gave me lots of souvenirs as well. when we were on our way home, i secretly cried a lot when the guys were asleep.” you giggled and laid your head on shirou's shoulder.
“i'd love to... visit there again... someday...” you trailed off and snuggled deeper into the male. shirou only stayed silent and listen to your breathing. “... if you ever visit there again, i'll come with you.” he whispered and stayed there with you (even though your lazyass fell asleep on him) on the rooftop, enjoying the cold breeze.
“aniki! i've been searching for yo– oh, did she fall asleep?” the door to the rooftop opened and revealed atsuya. “yes, she did...” shirou said, raising a hand to caress your head. “... she must've been tired from her trip.” atsuya said as he neared you two and knelt down to your form; pushing the strands of your hair away from your face and proceeding to cup your cheeks.
“yeah... she must be tired...”

A Soul's Wish
Hey everyone! Just a heads up. I am adding the Traumatising content tag because some parts might be considered as, well, traumatising. I want to point out though, it is not my aim to make a story that focuses on this aspect. Yuki is a college freshman that has been pulled into a fantasy world full of magic and monsters. Without any special talents, at level one, and with only a mere wisp as a companion he will need to figure out how to survive in the hostile environment. As he grows stronger and travels across this new world, he will find friends, make enemies, learn betrayal, overcome obstacles and grow into a hero. Hopefully. His goal? To save a princess, of course. A classic adventure fantasy story set in another world. Cover by the lovely Sara Lucasi Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/saralucasi/

My Road To Glory
Hello potential readers, I hope you will enjoy this story. This story focus on Alicia Berg, a young woman with big ambitions of taking virtual reality by storm. The world has developed much, so much in fact it offers people a life of complacent leisure should they want it. This option is less than ideal for our protagonist who aspire to become a virtual reality football coach. Follow her journey through a brave new world fraught with strangeness to find the purpose she craves. Note: This is a slice of life/drama/comedy kind of story. Slow pace with an emphasis on characters. Warning: Bad language (if you consider swearing bad because Alicia sure doesn’t).

The Collected Short Stories of Necrontyr525
Hey all, Necrontyr525 here! Rather then drown you all in a flood of one- to three-chapter mini-fics, I've decided to put out all of my short stories in an 'omnibus' format, sorted by series and by release date. These stories span my entire progress as a writer-for-fun over the past three plus years, with the corisponding variance in length, subject matter, and quality. Each chapter will get an Author's Note as a sort of forwards. Not nessisarily as a summary, but more to give you all some context for where each short came from, as well as any chapter-spicific trigger warnings. I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but better safe then sour.Comments, reviews, and constuctive criticizm is welcome, but please do recall that these works collectivly represent a great deal of my growth as a writer.Cover by the wonderful gej302! Go and show them some love!

Memories of the Bean Times
To those who have survived: I write this now, for I fear my death is imminent. Barnabas Schmidt wasn't serious when he said he knew what was going on in Paris. Thomas Sauer wasn't expecting to put his life on the line studying a mysterious disease. Julia Krause wasn't trying to join a cult. And the Holy Roman Empire wasn't prepared to fight the Beans. In the year 1587, the small farming village of Dijon in the Kingdom of France is attacked by seemingly immortal monsters made out of baked beans. As Schmidt fights against the Beans on the front lines, the Beans steadily approach the Empire's borders. As Sauer searches for the Beans' weaknesses, the Church of the Beanmeister paves the way for the arrival of the God. As Krause helps the Church, she begins to question her loyalty to the Beanmeister. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Chapters are available earlier on the Bean Times website: https://beantimes.github.io
