"We'll get out of here"
Aiden spoke in a low voice to Orion, sat right next to him in a dungeon.
He wasn't sure if his words were words of assurance to Orion, or to himself, still he went on.
"I'm not bothered" Orion lied.
He got to his feet, moving around slowly, scratching his hands through the walls, trying to see if he could find an opening anywhere.
"You won't find a way out, Orion. These dungeons were built by men with skills" Aiden said to him.
"I thought seconds ago, you were telling me we would make it out" Orion uttered.
"I was only trying to get you back in spirits" Aiden replied.
His eyes turned away, staring up at the ceiling while his hands rested on his head.
"Do you think we'll ever get out of here?" He heard Orion say to him.
He remained silent for quite a while, unsure of what to say.
"I don't know" He finally replied.
"I'm worried about Elpida.....Costa ordered for her to be killed, and Bellona, we have no idea where she is"
The eyes of Orion fell at the mention of Bellona's name.
He moved over to the gates, sighing and clenching his jaw hard.
"They'll be fine" He muttered.
"Aren't you worried about them?" Aiden asked.
He pursed his lips, with his back to Aiden, he responded.
"I choose not to worry about anyone, but the staff" He responded in a cold voice.
"You don't mean that"
"Yah, I do"
Aiden stood to his feet, staring at the back of Orion, stupefied at his words.
"We all accompanied you on this, been here with you since the start, and you don't care about their well-being?" Aiden asked him, his voice rising a little.
"What do you want me to say, huh? That I miss them, and wish they were here?"

"None of my utterances will bring them over here. That swine of a friend of yours caused all of this, and there's nothing you and I could do to revert that moment" He yelled.
"I rage a lot when I long for someone, knowing that the person isn't here with me, at my side"
"It burns my heart"
"A lot"
His voice suddenly turned low as he spoke, while his hands slapped at the gates.
"You care about Elpida?" Aiden asked immediately, slowly making sense of Orion's words.
His lips parted after a short while, with a look of surprise resting in his eyes, realization dawning on him.
"You're in love with Bellona" He muttered to Orion.
Orion moved to the other end of the dungeons, not saying a word to Aiden, instead, he squatted low to the grounds, turning his face away.
"I never knew you cared about her, nuts! I never even thought you looked at her that way" Aiden spoke immediately, moving towards Orion.
"I don't care about.......her" Orion said to him.
"That's dumb of you to say. I know what loving a girl feels like. I'm a fellow like you, Y'know?"
"Ugh! Stop mentioning love" Orion interjected
Aiden chuckled lightly, staring at him and noticing how uneasy he turned whilst they spoke of Bellona.
"She makes you nervous?" Aiden questioned him.
"I swear, I'll kill you before they get the chance to" Orion murmured in response.
He got to his feet, walking away and brushing his shoulders past Aiden's.

The Prince of the Sand
“Today you have to be the strongest man of all, son. After we deliver you, you will survive, and we will die.” When the Xalya Dungeon is about to fall under the attack of an alliance of savages, the last lord of the steppe entrusts his firstborn with a painful mission: Dashvara has to pass himself off as a member of an enemy clan, as a Shalussi, to exact revenge in a shameful way. Forced to see his people killed or enslaved, this heartbroken but still proud and humorous steppe man will soon be dragged in a surprising adventure that will shake his will and beliefs. This story follows Dashvara as he struggles through foreign lands and discovers that the world is not only made of deserts and horses but also of “civilized” societies with strong bureaucracy and slave-based systems. Author's note: The fantasy setting has some ancient Roman influences. Also, expect a bit of slice-of-life and comedy along Dashvara's philosophical journey. Despite the “gore” tag, violence is not the focus of this story and descriptions are not particularly gruesome. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a reworked and continued translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2016 and 2018.
