A weak groan escaped from the lips of Elpida, rested under the shade of a tree, while the moonlight peered in from the openings of leaves.
Her eyes felt weak, and couldn't open properly.
She felt something hard underneath her back, and then realized she was laid on the grounds.
Memories of the past events lodged into her head.
Costa. Pavlos. Costa. Pavlos. Costa
She remembered what had happened. Pavlos had betrayed them all and had even ordered for her to be killed.
Wait a minute.... She thought to herself.
If Pavlos had ordered for her to be killed, why was she still alive.
She sprung to her feet immediately, looking around her surroundings, and coming face to face with a girl.
"Who are you?" She questioned out of fear, her hands wrapping around her body instantly.
"I'm glad you're much better" The girl responded.
"I'm Elena, your guardian" She uttered in a soft voice.
"I saved you from that man who brought you out here to kill you"
"I don't have a guardian" Elpida responded immediately, staring at the girl suspiciously, thoughts of her being an ally of Pavlos.
Or should she call him Costa, she thought to herself.
"All Sytheens do, Elpida" The girl spoke.
"How do you know my name?" Elpida asked, confusion written on her face.
"That's because I'm your guardian. Sytheens are creatures filled with elements and powers far beyond the knowlege of people.
You happen to be one, Elpida" The girl revealed
"I was drawn here by your powers, and had to act as I saw how desperate you were in need of help" She added.
"Look" Elpida began.
"I appreciate your help and all, but I need to get to my friends. They're in danger"
"You need to help me!"
"At once" Elena responded.

"What do you need me to do?" She asked.
"I need go get to them, faster than the chase of a preying animal" Elpida said to her.
"As you wish" Elena replied.
Locked up far below the castle grounds of Grirendra in the dirty, cramped up dungeons was Cedric, his tunic stripped off him, and now replaced with regular clothing.
Bruises appeared all over his body, his hair disheveled and his eyes, the weakest he had ever bore.
He was traumatized, weak and completely powerless. Using his powers was just as useless as setting a trap for a Lion.
He had always been the hunter, hunting down everything and everyone, never for once challenged. But now, he was the prey being hunted down by the animals he preyed alongside with.
It didn't occur to him that any form of Trauma coming his way would be caused by a man, taking over his authorities. His power.
Only if he had seen this day forth coming, he would have directed his attention to something else, made sure he bent every single thing just to evade the coming.
The creaking of the large dungeon gates snapped his head up, his eyes at the figure coming in. It was hard to tell the face of the man, all that could be seen was a shadow.
"Would you like a drink, My lord?" The voice spoke.
He caught on to it, very familiar to him.
The voice of the man that once served him, fought side by side with him, catered for his requests and now betrayed him.
Zamarion came into full view, staring down at Cedric and then looking away.
"Here's some water, if you're thirsty" He uttered in a low voice.
His eyes rested on Cedric watching him for a while, and accessing the state he was in.

He soon turned around to leave after a killing silence that filled the air, but stopped right immediately, hearing Cedric speak.
"Since the dawn of my birth, till few days ago, Never for once have I EVER felt helpless as I feel now" Cedric uttered, his head bent low.
"Did I ever wrong you, Zamarion?" He questioned.
"I loved you as a brother, put your opinions first in every decision I made, gave you a room in my palace, even made you chief commander of my army, and yet, you found it delighting to push my head deep down into dung"
"I am grateful for all you did for me, My Lord" Zamarion began, he took a pause, staring deep into the eyes of Cedric, and then he went on.
"But, you should know that your reign has come to an end. Now, rules a far powerful force than yours, and that is Costa"
"To survive you have to fall on the winning side, that has been my code, and will remain the same"
"Curse your code!" Cedric spat, getting to his feet, and advancing towards Zamarion, but got held back, by the silver locks he was chained up with.
"I thought you were family! The only I had, and probably will ever have" Cedric yelled.
Veins appeared on his forehead as he spoke, showing his rage.
"You will only drain yourself of Energy" Zamarion uttered.
"I came to bid you farewell, Cedric. I was just told that tomorrow by dawn, you will be executed" He added
Cedric stared him square in the eyes not even a bit fazed by the announcement, the anger in him clouded his sense of reasoning, instead, he stared at the man, he had in seconds come to loathe.
"I will be the one to do the executioning" He uttered in a low voice, causing Cedric to clench his jaw tight, revealing the rage in his soul, through the expression on his face.
"You will die by my sword, My lord" Zamarion bowed curtly, turning around, and then proceeding out of the dark dungeons.
