Faraway in the Silent, unperturbed kingdom of Tramaría, crampled between cottages and castles rested the tiny home of Edwina Griffin, a place in which she inhabited with her only child, young Lily Griffin.
Edwina, widely known far across Tramaría as the town's best baker, not to forget, the best of the cooks, proclaimed by Queen Darallise, ruler of the Kingdom.
She was loved and respected by all citizens of Tramaría, in regards to the delicious cookies and bread she baked and then served to the royal house, a means of her living.
She had been in service and held her loyalty to the Queen, for a decade, right before she bore her child Lily.
Due to the unending loyalty she portrayed, the Queen of Tramaría had personally promoted her to be the head cook and made sure she got a better cottage to live in, much better than the tiny cruck hut she once resided in.
"Lily!" The high-pitched voice of Edwina echoed loudly in the house.
Laid on a wooden table were herbs, mixing clay pots, tiny bottles of all sorts and a large spatula.
Mixing some ingredients in a bowl, with the help of a large thick book in her hands, was Lily, round spectacles placed on her tiny eyes, drawn down to rest on the bridge of her nose.
"Lily!"
Edwina called once more, right before the door tore open, and she walked into the little, stuffy room of Lily, barging in on her mixing herbs, roots and flowers in a little pot"
"Good Gracious!" She exclaimed at the sight of the whole room turned in a mess.
She coughed at the smoke which spiraled in the air from the pot, slapping her hands in the air trying to wave it off.
At the sound of her mother's voice, Lily jumped to her feet, pushing the herbs aside and hiding the roots in her hands.

"Mother" She called in a soft voice.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I think I'm in the position to ask the questions here, young lady" Edwina uttered in a stern voice.
"What on earth are you doing Lily?!" She uttered immediately, her eyes moving around the room, accessing the mess created by her daughter.
"I've told you countless times, stop with the mixing of roots and unknown leaves. This isn't the life a girl should go after!" Edwina yelled, snatching the herbs from the table and then wrapping them up in her hands.
"But mother!"
"I wanna be a sorcerer" Lily called, in a soft voice.
"Be quiet!" Edwina snapped.
"Sorcery isn't something a girl your age should talk about. What do you know about all of that"
"There are dark sides to that, dear. Trust me, you don't wanna indulge yourself in it. Now do me a favor and go deliver these cookies and milk to the Queen" She uttered.
She stretched her hands out, handing over a basket of cookies and milk to Lily and then watching with her eyes as she went over to drop it on the table.
"I want them delivered now, Lily" Edwina said to her.
"Alright!, Mother. I just need to tidy all of this up" Lily responded, turning around to go pack the herbs.
A smile on the face of Edwina, seeing her daughter have a passion for something. Just not the right thing she wanted.
More than anything, she wanted her daughter to take over the baking business and keep it going. Serving the royal house and the Kingdom.
A low sigh escaped her lips as she stepped out of the room, moving away to get other things done.
Lily, still in the room, placing all herbs and roots in a jar, moved around quickly to grab her boots and clothing, ready to go deliver the cookies off at the castle.

An uncovered, transparent bottle was sat on the table, right where Lily's mixtures of herbs were.
At her movements around, her hurrying to get things in order, the bottle toppled over into the basket of cookies, all of its content spilling out.
Unknown to Lily who was sat on the bed, pushing her feet into her worn out boots.
She stood up immediately, grabbing her cloak and the basket of cookies and milk, and then stepping out of the cottage, ready to go deliver the whole lot of it.
