Cuffed in chains, while being pulled by some men who made sure to bring pain on them, Aiden groaned in a weak voice, receiving a blow on the back of his head, turning him dizzy instantly.
He fell to the ground, gagging blood while a buff man came to kick him in his guts.
"Keep moving, peasant!" The man yelled.
He dragged Aiden by the neck, and then pushed him to the side, after ensuring he had received the beating of his Life.
They had all been captured by some men who they ran into at a local town. They tried everything to fight them off, but the men were just too many for them to keep up with.
Presently, they were being led straight to the leader, while being pushed, smacked and even spat on.
"Are they the ones?"A man spoke in a dangerous voice.
The man who turned out to be the leader of the captors, gazed at every single one of the prisoners, staring deep into their eyes, accessing them from head to toe.
His gaze rested longer on the men, staring at them like he was trying to figure something out.
"I'm certain, they are" Another replied.
"Fools!" The man spat.
"The one we're looking for isn't amongst them" He muttered under his breath, stroking his chin hard with his right thumb, while glaring at the captives.
"But we've been on their trail for days, there's no way he escaped us. He surely must be among them. You need to look carefully"
"You calling me blind?!" The man stood to his feet, moving closer to the soldier.
"No commander, all I'm saying is there's no way we made a mistake"
"Very well then, what do you suggest I tell Cedric when he requests for him?" The commander asked.
At the mention of Cedric's name, Sima snapped her head up, staring at the commander who spoke. She stuggled to free her hands from the chains she was bind with, but the more force she placed on her wrist, the more bruises she got.

"What do I tell him when he realizes that Orion slipped from our fingers. After presenting a batallion army to us, we couldn't capture one man!" The commander yelled.
Bellona's weak eyes fluttered open as she heard him speak.
She was sprawled on the ground, hands and legs chained, with bruises all over her body.
"Orion" She muttered softly to herself. Low breaths escaping her lips as she looked onwards.
"He'll be furious with the whole lot of us. He could have our heads slain before the dawn of day" The commander uttered to the soldiers.
"Find him, before he gets far. Bring him before me and make sure he's alive while you do so" He commanded.
"I'll save you much stress. Here I am" A familiar voice filled the room.
All turning to look at the doorway, where a man stood, with sword in hands and hair falling to his face, his eyes darkened at the sight of the soldiers.
A low sharp gasp came from Bellona, with a weak smile growing on her face as she stared at the figure.
Orion.
She closed her eyes, sighing and panting softly, hearing the war cry of the soldiers as they all rushed forward to take him down.
Tossing a dagger over to Aiden, Orion lunged forward immediately, prepped to attack every single person incoming.
Aiden who had caught on to the dagger swiftly in a clean manner, in a second, had himself free from the cuffs.
He rushed over to Pavlos, setting him free, right after helping Elpida who was trying to get on her feet.
He fell short in time as he tried freeing Bellona, when a soldier immediately came attacking him.
Elpida who wasn't left behind, grabbed onto a rod laying on the floor, pushing it towards the soldier who came approaching her way.
Sima and Sonora had loosened themselves up and had now joined Orion, backing him up, and helping fight off the soldiers.
They grabbed their bows, their most powerful and treasured tool, rushing forward, pointing them at the men, and in a second, arrows flew around in the room, striking anyone unfortunate down.

Sonora so good with her aim, shot at an escaping soldier on the back of his neck, bringing him down instantly.
She snatched her dagger out of her boots, and threw it at one of the men who was approaching her so fast.
Her sister's voice filled her ears as she heard her cry for help, turning over to glance at Sima, she realized that one of the soldiers had hit her with a spear.
Raising her bow up, she shut her right eye, aiming at the man, and then releasing her fingers, as the arrow struck him right on the forehead, killing him instantly.
Hurrying over to Sima, she helped her up her feet and then crashed into her embrace, stroking her head, feeling relieved that she was safe.
"There's no time for that Sonora. Watch out!" Sima called out to her as a man approached them from behind.
"Well, you're welcome" She responded, jeering as she didn't get a thanks from Sima.
They both rose their bow and arrows up in the air, firing at the men who came attacking them, moving in sync and shooting at their aim.
Orion who was in a brawl with some of the soldiers, clanging swords with them, kicking and tumbling as they fought hard to kill him. He finally got eased, with the assist of Aiden and Pavlos.
His eyes fell on Bellona who was still laid on the ground with bruises all over her. Her hands were still bind, while a man who got struck by one of Sima's arrows collapsed on her immediately.
Orion soon rushed forward, pushing the man off her, and untying her hands.
"You came" Bellona uttered softly to him, staring at the side of his face while he fiddled with the ropes.
Slowly, his eyes connected with hers, staring into them, his hands freezing as they both gazed at each other.
They stayed in that position, for a short while staring into each other's burning gaze. Tension passing through each one of them as long as the contact lasted.
"Watch out" Bellona whispered, feeling so exhausted and injured to even speak audibly.
The young man spun immediately, throwing a fist at the incoming soldier, and then pushing his blade into the chest of the man.
Without hesitating he held Bellona in his arms, taking her over to a corner and then dropping her there to ensure her safety.
His eyes moved around staring at the few soldiers who remained standing.
He began moving towards the commander of the captors, who was stood at the front watching the whole scene, dressed in a fine armor of silver.
Sighting Orion coming towards him, he raised his hands up, pleading and taking cautious steps back.
"Please" He begged.
"I promise we'll bother you no more" He added.
"I'll make sure of that" Orion muttered in clenched teeth.
He drew closer to him, staring him down and pointing his sword at him.
"Tell your men to drop their weapons" Orion called to him.
Doing as told, he ordered for his men to stand back, portraying his cowardice to the open.
He felt relieved at the touch of Orion's hands on his head. Feeling glad that Orion was kind enough to let him go. So he thought.
"A little message for Cedric" Orion whispered to him.
"I'll pass whatever you want me to" The man stuttered in fear.
Orion shut his eyes tightly, clenching his jaw while holding onto the man.
He flicked his eyes open immediately, and in an instant, a loud snap was heard across the room.
A deafening silence filled the room as every single person in there had their eyes on just one thing. The commander.
His body fell limply to the floors right by the feet of Orion, with his head turned sideways in a distorting manner.
The soldiers who had watched Orion snap the neck of their commander right before their eyes suddenly retreated instantly, fear filling their hearts while they scrambled out the room.
