《Orion》39

"We need to go hunting" Pavlos spoke. Frustration building inside of him, as his eyes rested on the rotten fruits which they had gathered earlier.

They were all stood near a lake debating on what to eat, and how to acquire it. The fruits they had managed to pick were all rot. Some already eaten up by pests and others had maggots coming out from them.

"It's gonna be hard for us to get animals running into our trap, cause they don't come out during the day" Aiden uttered in response to Pavlos' statement.

"It will take us all the time in the world to find an animal which could be roaming helplessly in the woods"

Pavlos moved around peering at the fruits laid on the floor. He kicked some with his feet, and then looked up at the rest.

"I'll go hunting, but I need someone to come along with me, while the rest wait here" He said.

His eyes fell on Orion who clearly wasn't paying any attention to them, instead, had his eyes on the lake ahead.

"He should come with me. He hasn't done anything for anyone since the start of the journey" Pavlos uttered.

Orion suddenly turned to look at him, realizing he was the one being talked to.

"Piss off" Orion uttered under his breath, and then began walking away.

"Stop being a tosser and just come along with me. For once do something that isn't for the good of yourself" Pavlos spoke in a raised voice.

"You're forgetting something. You and I are here together for the sake of the quest, and it alone. Nothing else connects us" Orion said to him.

"But why can't you? If you really care about the quest, then do this, For the 'sake' of it" Another voice spoke, this time, calm and soft.

He turned around hearing Bellona speak. A light scoff escaped his lips as he stared forward, noticing all eyes were on him.

"Why bother I about fetching food for you all?" He questioned.

"If you've got your stomachs in a twist, then go find animals to calm your rumbles" He uttered coldly.

"Why are you like this?" Bellona uttered immediately.

Her eyes peered directly into Orion's, waiting for him to say a word to her. She watched as he stared back at her, and then he looked away.

"You do not listen to others, you're scared to make mistakes, you're scared to take orders from people and that's what's eating you up" Bellona let out.

Outraged by her statement, he clenched his jaw tightly, listening to her go on.

"It's alright, I could go with Pavlos, let's just not do this" Aiden stepped in, trying to ease the tension building up.

"You're trying to win people's hearts, your father's, yet you haven't won yours" Bellona spoke.

"What place are you in to speak about my father?!" Orion retorted angrily, stepping forward.

His tone made Bellona flinch a little, yet she went on.

"You're chuffed so bad. The rage in your soul will lead you nowhere. It has only left you in shambles"

"The rage in my soul is a signature to life!" Orion thundered.

His chest heaved up and down as he stared into her eyes, the anger in him showing.

They were stood feet away from each other looking at one another, battling with their eyes.

Sima amd Sonora watched from behind, looking at Orion as he portrayed his anger out. They had heard so much about him, but never for once thought he could turn to this when angered.

"You know what? I'm better off without you all" He spat, turning on his heels, jumped on his horse and then rode away, not caring about what the outcome of his actions could be.
