《Return Of The Nerd|||| COMPLETED》Chapter 37- New Plan

Sebastian Hernandez's Point of View:
It's been a week since Jeremy got arrested and things have been pretty hectic. He got out the day after on bail. Based on what I heard his father was pretty pissed with him.
Rumors were being spread around the school about why he was arrested in the first place. The accusations were outrageous and so far from the truth but I kept quiet as I didn't want to give them ammunition to start bothering me.
It was the last day of school for the week and I was thankful. I don't know how much longer I would've been able to keep calm here. As soon as the bell rang I was up and out of my seat. I stuffed my books into my bag and walked out of the door headed straight for where Ria had her last class.
Persons started filing out of the classroom and I waited to see if she was there but she wasn't. The teacher exited the room and finally, I could see Ria walking out behind her. She looked as if she had just seen a ghost.
"Hey baby"
She jumped startled, "Sebastian, I didn't see you there"
I raised a brow at that since she was looking right at me, "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah of course," she ran a hand through her hair.
"Ria love don't lie, tell me what's wrong"
She sighed, "Dad just texted me that Jeremy's trial date was pushed up to tomorrow"
"How is that possible?" I asked started "he didn't even have a trial date, to begin with"
"I know"
"Dad said he'll explain more later and he was at your house with my mom"
"I told the guys to meet us there too," I looked down sheepishly, "I thought we could have a game night"
Her eyes lit up, "Really?"
"Yeah," I smiled slightly "but if you're not up for it we can do it another time"
"No no," she laughed "I'm fine baby I was just surprised is all"
"You sure about that?"
She leaned up to kiss me on the cheek, "I'm positive now let's go"
I followed her as she made her way through the halls and finally got outside. Rex and Jacob were already at my house as they had a free period before school ended. Katy and Matt waved at us as we walked over to my car. They've never driven themselves over to my house before so they'd be following my car there.

Ria got in the car and I followed suit closing the door behind me. We put our bags on the backseat and I started the ignition. On the ride over Ria talked about all the things she wanted to do on spring break. It was great seeing her talk about something that didn't have to do with the whole Jeremy drama.
As soon as I pulled up to the house Ria was out the door. I chuckled at how excited she was for game night. I'm glad I thought of it.
I didn't bother to grab our bags just leaving them there since we wouldn't be needing them. I hopped out of the car and looked behind me to see Katy and Matt. They got out and walked towards us and we all made our way up to the house.
"I can't get over how beautiful your house is" Katy whispered in awe.
"I know right, this is some rich people shit," Ria smirked at me.
I rolled my eyes and walked up the steps. I opened the door and announced our arrival to everyone.
"We're here," I yelled so they could hear me.
"We're in the living room son," Dad shouted back to me.
"You guys go ahead I'll bring us something to drink," I told them "any requests?"
"It's like they have a supermarket in this place," Ria whispered to Matt.
It was true. One of the perks of having chefs as parents is that frozen pizza doesn't cut it. If it's not gourmet or doesn't have some weird spelling then it's unlikely we'll have it. It's only when I got older that I got to eat pizza and that wasn't homemade.
Another thing was that the freezer and fridge were custom and were bigger than what was average. It was fully stocked with whatever was available in case they wanted to make something and needed specific ingredients. I got some of their cooking skills but I wasn't as obsessed as they are.
"What do you have?" Matt asked.
I raised a brow, "how about I'll surprise you guys"
"Sounds good"
After kissing me Ria, Matt and Katy went to the living room. I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge. After moving a few stuff I found three of this fruity drink that mom made about two days ago. I didn't know that there was any left. With how far back in the fridge it was it's safe to say that dad was hiding it. I was wondering why I didn't see any left, well too bad for him I'm taking them.

Grabbing the bottles I walked into the room, "look what I found"
Dad's eyes widened in surprise but he wisely kept quiet so as not to anger the pregnant lady which was mom.
I looked over at said woman to find her smiling tensely. Was I really not supposed to know about it or something? I looked over and everyone was tense. What the hell was going on? I wasn't in the kitchen that long for them to look like someone died.
"Okay, what's going on?" I set the bottles down on the coffee table.
"Sebastian honey you know that Jeremy's court date was pushed to tomorrow right?"
"Well yeah," I looked to Ria, "Ria told me before we left school"
Ria took my hand and made me sit beside her, "w-what dad didn't tell me was that since the messages we found can't be used the case can be thrown out"
"You have to be kidding me"
"It's true," Jacob interjected "we did break the law when you guys went in his house and I could be charged with some cyberspace crap also"
My brain was scrambling to catch up with all the bullshit I was being told. After everything we did, this is what it comes down to. Him walking away scots-free while everybody else that suffered because of him never gets justice. To hell with that, I'll do something about it.
As if sensing where my thoughts were going Ria forced me to look at her, "no I can't let you do that"
"So we should just let him get away with everything?" I hissed.
"No of course not," she cried frantically "but what your thinking isn't worth it"
"What's going on?" Mom asked.
"Yeah what isn't worth it?" Ria's mom asked as she looked on.
I sighed and ran a hand down my face while Ria hesitated before speaking, "i-if it came down to it Sebastian was going to take the fall for breaking into Jeremy's house"
It was deadly quiet and then I could hear my mom shouting as she jumped to her feet, "over my dead fucking body"
"Lucy baby calm down," Dad tried to get through to her "think of the baby"
Mom glared at him but plopped herself back onto the couch and took deep breaths.
"Are you hearing the shit your son is saying?" Mom directed her question to dad.
Rex and Jacob looked at me wide-eyed. In all the years of knowing my mom, they've never seen her this mad, and honestly neither have I.
"What the hell are you thinking?" Olivia asked me "Are you trying to give your mom a heart attack?"
"That was a really noble suggestion but what makes you think you'd survive prison?"
"A cousin of mine just got out and he said it was the worst year of his life and that was just juvy," Matt said his piece.
I rolled my eyes, "I'm sure Michael would see what I'm proposing as a necessary evil"
"Well yeah," Ria laughed sarcastically "he's dumb that's why he's on a date with a girl he doesn't even like"
I nodded in agreement. She was right about that, "well what are we going to do then?"
"I don't see any of you coming up with any bright ideas"
"I might just have one," Carlos piped in as he surveyed the room.
"Well spit it out," mom shuffled in her seat "anything to get this whole prison idea out of Sebastian's head"
"Yes anything is good," Ria agreed with mom earning a smile from her.
"Well we could have one of the girls he was trying to blackmail come forward and testify"
"If one agrees the rest might follow," Jacob stated.
"And they could bring their own copies of the messages to court so you guys don't have to be implicated"
"Well I'll be damned," Dad snickered "that sounds like it will work"
Mom and Ria nodded in agreement and the others followed. I guess we have a new plan. One that doesn't have me going to jail, yaaay.
"I know the perfect person to talk to," Ria grinned.

Artemis
"Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. Blessed with an ability that scared others, she roams the wild with only her guarded one. That is until she stumbles into a situation that brings her in front of a prince.
