《Return Of The Nerd|||| COMPLETED》Chapter 36- Arrested

Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:
I laughed as I looked at mom and Lucy doing the baby mama dance. They looked hilarious as they waddled around the room and erratically moved their hands and feet. Their shirts were pushed up to their breast exposing their growing bellies. Katy was busy cheering them on as she laughed at their terrible moves.
I knew what they were doing and I couldn't be more grateful to them for it. I've done nothing but laugh since they came and I forgot about all my problems. I was only sorry that Sebastian wasn't here with me. For some reason, my dad took him on a drive. I have no idea what that's about but I'm happy that they'll be able to bond on the drive to wherever my dad was going.
It was getting pretty late in the day and since I didn't want to disturb the neighbors I decided to turn down the music. At that time is when I heard the police sirens as they got closer to us.
"Oh crap," Katy whisper yelled "you don't think a neighbor complained about the music do you?"
"That's ridiculous," mom said as she pushed down her shirt and walked over to my window.
The sirens got louder which indicated that they were closer and I saw her tense. I walked over to her and peeked out the window to find that the police car was in fact on our street.
"Shit!" Mom exclaimed.
"What is it?" Lucy questioned mom.
"The police car is on our street"
"What?" She started to freak out "I can't have a prison baby"
Mom rolled her eyes, "calm down woman, if it's a noise complaint we'd just get a warning"
She breathed a sigh of relief before picking up one of the chocolates from the bed and starting to eat it. Mom went to do the same and I just looked on as they greedily devoured to sweets.
"Mother fucker"
I turned to find Katy looking through the window. I didn't even see her move. It was then that I heard the sirens had stopped. I wonder what she saw that had her swearing.

"What is it?"
"You have to come to see this for yourself"
I walked over to her and looked out the window, I was astonished by what I saw, completely gobsmacked. Jeremy was being handcuffed and pulled to the car by one of the officers while the other was speaking to his parents. His mother looked distraught at what they were being told while his dad looked furious. He always hated being the topic of discussion in the neighborhood and having cops take his son away in handcuffs wasn't good.
My heartbeat was faster when I saw dad's car pull up on our street. I hadn't seen him or Sebastian since they left, I hadn't even heard from them. Was this what they were doing all this time?
I watched as Sebastian and dad bounded out of the car. They looked over at Jeremy who was now inside the police car with smug smiles on their faces. Yup, this was definitely their doing. They entered the house and I looked over at Jeremy again to find that he was being driven away and for the first time I could see there was a scared look on his face.
I turned to face my mom, Katy, and Lucy who were already watching me. I could feel my eyes sting with tears as I stared at them. I tried to speak but I couldn't get my words to come out fast enough. I wasn't at all sorry for him but I was just so overwhelmed about everything that my emotions were going haywire.
"Jeremy just got arrested," I sobbed as I ran over to my mom who immediately pulled me into a hug.
Just then Sebastian and dad barged into the room. They stopped dead in their tracks when they saw that I was crying.
"Why is she crying?" Dad asked the same time Sebastian asked me what was wrong.
"Jeremy got arrested," Katy supplied the answer they needed.
"And your crying because of that?" Dad was confused "I thought you'd be happy he's going to jail"
"I am," I cried.
"Then why are you crying?" Lucy asked softly.
I rubbed a hand down my face, "I just feel so overwhelmed with everything that's happened"

Sebastian walked further into the room and I immediately threw myself into his arms.
"Let's give them some privacy," mom spoke as she ushered everyone out of the room.
It was quiet for a while and then he spoke, "I missed you today"
I chuckled and looked up at him, "yo también te extraño"
I led him over to my window and made him sit on the bench. I fixed his legs so that I could sit between them and settled down resting my head against his chest.
"Did you guys have anything to do with this?" I asked him even though I already knew the answer.
"We might have had something to do with it," he sounded so smug.
"That's all good and we'll I guess" I grabbed my phone "those girls need justice"
"You need justice too love," he kissed my forehead gently.
I smiled at him but didn't answer. Even though Jeremy was planning on blackmailing me I didn't feel as violated by him as I'm sure the other girls were feeling. I'm not downplaying the way I should feel but I'd rather not think about it.
"Did you update everyone about what's happening?"
"I didn't really have time," he sighed.
"It's okay love"
I opened my phone to find that there were three missed calls and fourteen unread messages. How did that happen? I looked at my phone and saw that it was on silent. That's so typical of me.
There was a missed call from Matt and two from Rex. I saw that most of the messages were from Rex as well. They were mostly about if I saw that Jeremy got arrested or if I knew who called the cops on him and if Katy was still here. I rolled my eyes at the last one, he could just call her and ask her. I opened the message from Michael, he wanted to know if mom cooked dinner, I texted him to grab a pizza because she didn't.
Setting my phone down I turned so I was facing Seb, he had his eyes closed. If they had a trial they would ask how we got the messages and then they'd know we went into the house when they weren't there.
"Seb"
"Yeah"
"Won't they question where we got the messages from?"
"Yeah," I blew out a breath at his less than intelligent reply.
"Won't we get arrested if they find out it was us and we practically broke into their house?" I almost grabbed him and shook him by the shoulders.
"Could you take this even a little bit serious?" I was starting to get irritated by his lack of respect.
He opened his eyes as if he could sense the inpatients seeping out of me, "we found a solution"
"What kind of solution?"
"Well at first I offered to do the jail time if it meant getting rid of him"
I gasped at how stupid he sounded. Why would he want to go to jail? I'd never allow it.
"Are you insane?"
He ran his hand up and down my back in a soothing manner, "don't worry we found another solution"
"Does it involve having any of us go to jail?" I asked sarcastically.
He laughed loudly, "no it doesn't"
I puffed out a breath, "why would you agree to go to jail?"
He used the back of his hand to wipe away a stray tear. I hadn't even realized I had started to cry. I couldn't comprehend what would make him think it was okay for him to go to jail and leave me.
"I know how much you want him in jail for what he's been doing and if me going in jail is what makes sure of it then so be it"
I smiled slightly at his reasoning, "I'd be in there too you know since I was at the house too" I pointed out that fact to him
"That's not what everyone else thinks"
So he told them he did it by himself but why?
"Why would you do that?"
He looked at me as if I grew a second head, "the love of my life will not go to jail"
I was stunned by what he said and didn't know what to do, so I did the only thing I could do. I pressed my lips to his for a passionate kiss.
I've definitely found the one for me.
