Carlos Rodriguez's Point of View:

I was absolutely fuming after hearing what that piece of shit Jeremy was doing to all those girls. And to think that he was dating my daughter. I should've seen what a tool he was from the start.

I wanted to kill the idiot but death would be far too good for the likes of him. I had to call Olivia and ask her to come back a bit earlier with Lucy too so that she and the girls could have a girl's night. I could see that Anna was desperately in need of it.

I was outside sitting on one of the patio chairs with a pack of cigarettes beside me. I hadn't smoked in over ten years but at this moment I was very tempted. I sighed as I saw Olivia pull up to the house.

She and Lucy got out with shopping bags in their hands and smiling. I watched them as they walked up the driveway. I sat frozen in my seat as they walked up the steps.

"Hey honey, what are you doing out here?"

Her voice was so full of light and was so cheerful. I hated having to be the one to tell her what's going on. When her eyes fell to the pack of cigarettes that were beside me I could see her smile fall. Her eyes drifted up to my own and back down to the cigarettes. I could see she was at a loss for words. I hadn't touched a box in years but here I am now.

"Lucy, why don't you go inside and get something to drink?"

"Is everything okay?" Lucy asked worriedly.

Olivia smiled gently to her, "everything is fine"

"Okay if you say so," she briskly walked to the door and opened it.

As soon as Lucy was inside Olivia dropped the bags and sat beside me, "Oh baby what's wrong?

"I love you, you know that right?"

She smiled softly, "of course I know that Carlos"

I sighed time to tell her, "I have some news to tell you and Liv it's really bad"

She gasped, "well what is it?"

"You aren't sick are you?" She cried.

"What? No no"

She breathed a sigh of relief, "then what is it? You haven't touched a box of cigarettes in over ten years"

I decided to just spit it out since there would be no easy way to say this. I just had to prepare myself for the possibility that she would freak out. I had to keep her calm so as not to trouble the baby.

"Jeremy, Anna's ex has been blackmailing girls to sleep with him and plans on blackmailing Anna to do the same"

Liv's eyes grew wide at what I said. I waited for her to panic to freak out to be hysterical, anything of the sort. But none of that happened it was quite scary. She was calm, far too calm for my liking.

"Olivia honey are you okay?"

She looked at me "Oh yeah I'm fine baby"

"You sure you're awfully calm about this?"

"You know at first I wasn't fully on board with the whole revenge thing but for some reason, I've suddenly had a change of heart"

"What are we going to do about the asshole?" She asked as she ran a hand over her swollen belly.

Women can be really scary when they want to be, "I was going to have a meeting with my executives but I decided to have a meeting with Jack instead so we could discuss this"

She stood, "that's perfect you get to it and I'll keep our daughter entertained in the meantime, I already called Katy to get over here"

She kissed me on the cheek and ran a hand through my hair, "do your worse"

With that, she picked up the bags and walked inside leaving me with my thoughts. Well, I guess I have her approval to deal with Jeremy however I see fit. This should be fun.

I walked inside and saw Anna and Sebastian speaking quietly to each other. He saw me and I motioned for him to follow me outside. I turned away because as much as I was okay with their relationship I didn't want to see him kiss her. She was still my baby girl after all. I want her to be happy but I wouldn't mind if that meant her being single till she's at least 30.

"Mr. Rodriguez?"

"I told you to call me Carlos"

"Oh yeah right um Carlos"

I walked over to my car and pulled out the keys from my pocket. I unlocked the car and opened the door. I looked to see Sebastian still rooted to the spot. Kids, I swear; need to be told everything.

"Get in," I snapped.

He jumped on the spot and speed walked to open the back door. I rolled my eyes.

"Sit at the front," he silently obliged and sat beside me.

I started the car and pulled out of the driveway. Turning down the street I headed straight for the restaurant where I would be meeting Jack.

Sebastian cleared his throat and looked at me expectantly, "not to sound crass, but where are you taking me exactly?"

"I'm having a meeting with my lawyer and you are coming with me"

"What exactly do you think should happen to Jeremy?" I asked his curious to hear his answer.

"Well I'd personally want him dead for all the things he's done but death would be too good, he has to suffer for what he's done"

I knew I liked this kid for some reason, "that's exactly what I was thinking when he broke Anna's heart I wanted to break him but I was glad that Anna wanted to deal with the cheater herself"

"I'm sure you can see she's tired so now it's our time to step in"

"Do you know what the penalty for blackmail is?"

He grinned, "you can be fined or imprisoned for up to a year"

I laughed at his enthusiasm, "what do you think will happen when you had a little bit of extortion into the mix?"

"Extortion?"

"The technical term is sextortion but the point is that's what he was doing"

"If convicted wouldn't he get more than a year in prison?"

"When," I glanced at him "when convicted he'll be facing a lot of jail time"

His eyes widened in surprise yet he looked gleeful at the same time. I let him think about it and focused on driving. I finally pulled up to the restaurant and we got out of the car and walked inside.

I approached the hostess and asked for my table, "table for Rodriguez please"

"Right this way," she smiled as she directed us to where Jack was already seated sipping a cup of what looked to be coffee. This is one of the reasons why I respect him because he never drinks on the job.

"Rodriguez," he stood and shook my hand.

"Jack," I pointed to Sebastian "this is Anna's boyfriend Sebastian"

"Nice to meet you, Jack," Sebastian shook hands with him.

"Likewise"

We took our seats and a waiter came over to offer us menus. We took them and I told him to bring back three coffees. I'd ask for some wine but I'd be the only person drinking it.

"Let's cut to the chase Jack," I spoke up "I gave you a rundown of what happened, so what are our chances?"

He took a deep breath, "their pretty good since we have text confirmations that we can use as evidence against him but there is one issue"

"Which is?"

"How you came about the evidence isn't exactly...lawful"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sebastian asked.

"It means you and Anna could be arrested for breaking and entering"

He looked deep in thought as he mulled over what I just said.

He turned his attention to Jack, "how much time?"

"Sorry?"

"How much jail time is it for breaking and entering?"

"It can go up to a year in some cases but for this particular case we're looking at two maybe three months"

"This is why you brought me here, isn't it? He turned to face me "you knew he'd say this"

I knew that the validity of the messages being used in court would be questioned because of where we got them from. But I wasn't thinking about anybody being charged for it.

"I brought you here because despite wanting Anna to be single till I think she's old enough, she's quite taken with you," I kept my voice firm.

He ran a hand through his hair just as the waiter came with the coffee. We took a cup each. I set mine down as I suddenly became anxious.

"I'll do it"

"What?"

"If it comes down to it, I'll take the fall for breaking into his house," he mumbled "even though we used a key"

I gotta say I didn't think he had it in him. It just proves how much he loves my daughter and I obviously couldn't let him go to jail, she'd be crushed.

"Let's hope it doesn't come to it," I quietly sipped on my coffee as I began to think of a plan which didn't involve anybody but Jeremy going to jail.
