《Return Of The Nerd|||| COMPLETED》Chapter 30- The Plan

Sebastian Hernandez's Point of View:
I knew that Ria would be exhausted by the time she would reach home so I made sure that I invited Katy and Matt to the barbecue myself. If she had come here to realize that all our friends were here except for them she would feel so guilty.
"Anna" Katy and Sarah squealed as they pulled her into a hug.
She returned the hug with a big smile on her face. I was happy to help put it there. I took a seat in one of the egg chairs that my parents had installed and watched as Ria made her way around greeting everyone.
"Matty boo," she laughed when Matt groaned.
"Will you ever stop with that?" He asked to which she responded no "doesn't it annoy you that she calls me that?" he directed his question to me.
"I'm cool with it," I shrugged because I had no problem with it.
"You're no help," Matt rolled his eyes.
Ria came over to finally sit beside me and I put my hand around her waist pulling her closer to me. It felt good to have her in my arms and I wanted her close to me. I glanced over at our parents who were a few meters apart from us and a lot closer to the pool which was covered at the moment.
They were busy chatting and manning the grill. They wouldn't be able to hear what we were talking about unless they were deliberately listening but by the looks of it, they were having way too much fun to eavesdrop on us.
I thought it was the best time to bring up the whole Jeremy issue and to let Ria in on what the plan was. I knew that she was curious about it even though she hasn't pressed me to tell her the details. The first part of the plan would've already happened anyways.
"Hey guys I think it's time we filled in Ria on what the plan is"

Everyone turned to us giving me their undivided attention. Ria stiffened beside me I used my hand that was around her waist to caress her arm and soothe her.
"It was your plan Jacob," I looked in his direction "you should probably be the one to explain it"
Jacob looked over at Sarah who blushed at the attention she was receiving. Jacob must really like her because he's never given anyone that much of his attention unless they were close.
"We had to find out whether or not Jeremy knew what was happening because it couldn't have been a coincidence that he went after Anna"
Ria drew in a deep breath at that. Jeremy went after Ria but caught me instead which I was sure was what she was thinking.
"It's fine love," I whispered to her quietly. I felt her body relax and signaled Jacob to continue speaking.
"He didn't go after Sarah so it was safe to assume that he wasn't aware that she was involved. So we decided to use that to our advantage. Sarah and I went to a store and bought a wig and contact glasses as a precaution and to make sure he didn't recognize her"
He paused before carrying on what he was saying, "We got matching colors to that of one of the girls he was talking to last night and then we got his number and had Sarah text him asking to go out for a date while pretending to be the girl he met"
"That's a big risk to take," Ria stated, "what if he recognizes you and acts out?"
"I'm hoping he'll recognize me it'll make it easier for me to question him"
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Ria persisted not liking the idea of her friend being put in the crossfire of a feud that has nothing to do with her.
"I'll be fine," she smiled "Jacob will be nearby to keep an eye on me"

I could see Jacob's eyes lit up at the level of trust that Sarah had for him. I swear he's only known her for a day but he's already whipped.
"Also if he doesn't know anything it would be the perfect opportunity to get revenge on him without implicating ourselves," I jumped in.
"How would we do that?" Katy asked as she assessed the situation. Ria turned to look at me waiting for an explanation.
"Yeah how do we do that?" she asked the same question as Katy.
"Well Jacob over there is a complete computer whiz, Sarah is going to put a USB in his phone which will quickly copy everything on his phone"
"So we can know everything he did," Michael concluded with a smug look on his face. He hated Jeremy almost as much as we did.
Ria was quiet for a moment while the others were busy talking amongst themselves. When she turned to face me I gave her my attention.
"Are you sure we should be doing this?" She questioned me.
"Don't you want revenge still?" I answered her question with a question of my own.
"I mean I did but I don't want to put anyone in danger because of it...just look what happened to you"
I sighed, "baby for the last time that wasn't your fault, Jeremy was the one to punch me not you"
"Plus we're going to be super careful about it"
"He lives across the street from me can't we just wait for him to leave and have someone follow him and put the USB in his computer instead?"
"That's not a bad idea?" Jacob said as he thought it over "it would mean having less physical contact with him so it wouldn't be traced back to us"
I looked between the two of them. As usual, Jacob was indifferent but Ria was giving me such a hopeful look that I just couldn't say no. Luckily this plan was just as good as the other one.
"What are you guys mumbling about over there?" Chris asked as he waved a hand in our direction.
"Yeah what's going on?" Rex asked.
"There's been a change of plans"
Ria explained the plan to everyone with some inputs from myself and Jacob. The plan was a solid one and they seemed to think so as well.
"Don't just sit there kids move about a little," mom yelled.
No one moved and I could hear Olivia say to mom that she didn't do it right. What the hell were they talking about.
"Watch and learn," she told mom.
She turned to face us, Micheal, Matty, and Chris were on their phones doing Lord knows what, Rex and Katy were snuggled together and Jacob and Sarah were speaking to each other in low tones so we couldn't hear much. Ria and I were swinging the egg chair back and forth a little while we just observed everyone.
"Foods ready," Olivia shouted catching the attention of everyone.
They all jumped up and made their way to where the food was. I saw mom roll her eyes at Olivia.
"That's how it's done," she gloated as everyone flocked to the food.
"You think Rex and Katy will finally fess up what's going on between them?"
I turned my head to watch Rex and Katy as we walked closely with each other. Rex grabbed her a plate and helped her to fill it up. He had the most adoring look on his face which was a rarity for him. He's the most approaching between Jacob and me but he's also the one who is careful of getting too attached to a person.
"Not a chance," I told her honestly.
"Damn," she mumbled "guess we'll just have to force it out of them"
I laughed she was persistent when she wanted to be.
