《Return Of The Nerd|||| COMPLETED》Chapter 29- Perfect

Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:
I pulled up to the address that Sebastian gave me and I was surprised at the mansion that I saw. Seb and I never talked about it but I knew that his parents had money, I guess I didn't realize just how much they had. I wasn't expecting to see a mansion at all. As I drove up to the driveway I could see dad, Michael, and Seb was waiting for us. Mom had called dad to let him know that we were here and I guess he told them.
"Wow Lucy really did well for herself," mom grinned.
I parked the car and opened the door climbing out of the car. Dad walked over to mom helping her out of the car while Sebastian walked over to me and pulled me into a hug.
"Hey baby," I kissed him quickly on the cheek.
"hmmm," he mumbled planting a soft kiss on my neck "why'd you take so long, I was texting you?"
"I was asleep my mom woke me up half an hour before we had to leave"
He chuckled at that, "come on let us help your parents"
We walked around to the back of the car where all the trays were with the food. There were four in total so we all took one not allowing mom to carry any. Sebastian led us into the house and I was amazed by what I saw. The interior was just as beautiful with black, grey, and white furnishings it was a modernly decorated house. I was excited to see what the kitchen would look like, I bet it was to die for.
"Oh my gosh," mom and I uttered at the same time.
"It's like heaven," I whispered earning a chuckle from Seb as we walked into the room.

The kitchen was just as modernly designed as the hallway and the living room and I was in awe. First of all the kitchen was massive, it was painted a crisp white color, there was a white marble countertop, the cupboards were white with black long handles. The barstools were black as well as all of the appliances that were present.
We set the food down just as Mrs. Hernandez walked into the room with an empty large glass pitcher in her hand.
"Olivi, Adrianna, I'm so glad you finally made it," she squealed as she ran over to give mom and me a hug.
"This one was knocked out after the night she had," mom teased me with a little nudge to the shoulder as my face grew red from embarrassment.
"Oh that's perfectly fine dear," her smile was directed towards me.
"Thank you, Mrs. Hernandez"
She frowned, "Oh no dear you can call me Lucy"
My eyes widened in surprise, "oh okay Lucy"
"Carlos stop stealing the food and wait," mom playfully slapped his arm.
He chewed what he had in his mouth before speaking, "it's not my fault you cook so well"
"Where is everyone?" Mom asked.
"They're in the backyard"
"Let's go join them," Seb said as he took my hand.
I followed him as he led me through this massive house. As we walked I could see that the modern design was not limited to what I had already seen but was spread throughout the house.
"This place is beautiful and so modern," I whispered to Seb who smiled in return.
"Yeah, mom and dad remodeled the entire place when we moved here.
Right, Sebastian had moved here the year before I left but he was going to a different school at the time which explained why we hadn't met until I returned. It was amazing how our fates aligned like this. I thought back to last night and wondered if he was okay. I know he tries to be tough all the time so I wasn't sure if he would confess to me if he's hurting even though he looked fine, just a little tired.

"How are you feeling Seb?"
He looked over at me as we walked towards a set of open doors, "I'm fine just a little tired"
I nodded as that was what I thought he would say, "you sure?"
He smiled, "I'm sure baby"
We walked down the stairs and into the opened backyard which was a lot larger than I expected. With how big the house was I probably should've known that the backyard would be no exception.
"Just how rich are your parents?" I jokingly asked him.
He tensed beside me at my question, "hey! I was just joking," I tried to soothe him.
"Yeah I know," he replied tersely to which I raised my brows.
He sighed, "it's just that as soon as people find out that my parents are loaded they end up changing and I'm scared that, that would happen with you just like it did with Jasmine"
I listened intently to his words. At first, I was insulted that he would think I could be anything like his cheating ex but then I remembered that I was also in his shoes once afraid to trust anyone. If I'm being completely honest I still am but I trust Sebastian. When people found out just who my parents were their whole attitude would change so I get it.
"First of all I'm nothing like your ex and second of all I totally understand where your coming from"
"What do you mean you understand where I'm coming from?"
"I mean I didn't tell you this because I thought you already knew or at least you would have figured it out already"
"Well now I'm even more confused," he scratched his head nervously.
"Well my mom is a famous fashion designer and my dad is a hotelier"
"He manages hotels?"
I laughed, "no silly he owns them"
"And the dresses you see me wear my mom designs them"
"How did I not know this?" He asked confused.
"Mom uses an alias to not draw attention to herself and dad as made sure to keep us out of the limelight, plus I didn't tell you so you wouldn't have known"
"What do your parents do anyway?"
"Their famous chefs and own restaurants across the country"
"That's really impressive," I smiled.
He grinned in return, "I can't believe we waited this long to tell each other what our parents do"
"We've both been hurt by people we've told so it's totally understandable"
"You're right," he said solemnly as he started walking again. I hadn't even realized we had stopped.
As we reached the backyard my mouth dropped when I saw Katy and Matt lounging in one of the beautiful looking wood chairs that had brown plush pillows in them.
"I totally forgot to invite them," I whisper yelled to Seb who was grinning like a fool at my reaction.
"I figured as much," he pulled me close "so I had Michael send me their numbers and I invited them"
I blinked at him, "you're perfect"
He laughed, "for you I am"

Noli Me Tank in a Mall
Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo are important cultural works that ignited the Philippine Revolution against Spain. They are novels that exposed to the populace the abuses and the injustices of their Spanish colonial rulers, the hypocrisy of their priests, and inherent cruelty of their class structure over the powerless masses. Unfortunately, they rose up in the middle of the Spanish-American War, one which saw Spain lose most of their overseas colonies and decisively end as a World Power. The war ended in the 1898 Treaty of Paris, in which Spain also sold the Philippines to the USA for the sum of twenty million dollars. The revolutionary government was then crushed by the overwhelming military might of the United States and the Philippines turned into a territory. While the Philippines stands as the USA's greatest successes in nation-building, their early occupation left almost one-fifth of the population dead from combat and disease. Jose Rizal was executed by the Spanish long before knowing what might happen to his country. The world presented within The Noli and the El Fili is therefore stuck frozen in time, forever caught in that moment before a Revolution. Now let's see what happens to this nation if we give it the Light Novel treatment and jam the entirety of the Internet into their protagonist's skull and watch him try to fix things with his unfortunate tendency to sound like a supervillain. Updates Mondays and Fridays. Note: The Noli and El Fili have been public domain since 1946. This is completely fair game.
