Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:
"You can call us Olivia and Carlos"
I was dumbfounded because this has never happened before. My dad never allowed any of my previous boyfriends to call him by his first name, granted I've only had two boyfriends and my dad despises you.
"Am I witnessing history?"
My dad rolled his eyes at my question, "I don't hate the world you know"
"The day you met Jeremy you wanted to buy a flame thrower for what did you call it...experimental purposes"
"That's what it was"
"Wanting to burn someone alive with a flame thrower isn't something you should research honey," my mom piped in.
Dad sighed accepting defeat, "your mom wants to come to the hospital now so we'll be there soon"
He hung up after that. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. Men.
"Did your dad really try to buy a flame thrower?"
"Yeah but mom wouldn't let him"
He gulped and I laughed, "don't worry he likes you"
He mumbled quietly and I couldn't hear what he was saying so I just ignored it. My parents were just half an hour away from the hospital so they would be here soon. They were near enough if we needed them but far enough that they could have their privacy. It was at that moment that I realized my parents and Sebastian's parents have never met. Seb's parents were outside right now taking a breather but what was going to happen when my parents arrived. I was sure I was overthinking this but I was born an overthinker I just couldn't help myself.
"Is everything okay?" Seb wanted to know when he finally saw my face and how panicked I look.
"My parents are coming here," I whispered.
"Yeah, I know, I heard," he said in response to my statement "why are you so freaked out about this?"
"Your parents are here too," I pointed out the fact to him in hopes that he would figure out what I was trying to say.

"Yeah so?" he asked completely clueless. It's great that he's handsome because right now he's slow.
"They're going to be meeting for the first time," I stated through gritted teeth trying my best to not be dramatic.
His eyes widened in understanding as he finally understood what I was driving at, "Oh"
"Oh," my mouth dropped at his simple response.
"What if they don't like each other? Or worse what if they met before and hate each other? What if they don't want us to be together?" What if-"
"Hey hey," Seb grabbed my hands to stop my fidgeting "don't worry about that cause you're stuck with me either way"
I giggled, "dammit you're too cute"
"I prefer handsome or sexy but for you, I can be cute this one time"
There was a sharp knock on the door and we looked at each other. I quickly went to sit in the chair beside his bed and crossed my legs. I didn't know whether or not I was allowed to sit on the bed with him and I certainly didn't want to upset his doctor if he/she was the one behind the door. A second later a middle-aged male doctor walked into the room and Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez was behind him.
"Mr. Hernandez nice to see you awake," he spoke softly as his eyes drifted over to me "and who do we have here?"
"That's my future daughter-in-law," Mrs. Hernandez spoke quickly practically bouncing on her feet.
My face was as red as a tomato and as pale as a sheet of paper from her words. I was both embarrassed and thrilled by what she said and hear I was thinking they wouldn't like me.
"Mom!" Seb reprimanded her.
She ignored him and gave all her attention to the doctor who looked highly amused.
"Anyways," he cleared his throat "would you like her to stay as I read your test results?"

I looked to his parents and his parents looked to him to decide on that. It was warming to see them give him the choice and allow him to make his own decisions.
"She can stay," he smiled "she's my future wife after all"
His mom grinned while I was mortified at having everyone's attention being on me. I could see who Sebastian took his teasing nature from because at this moment it wasn't his dad. He could see how red I was in the face and helped me out.
"So what's up doc?" Mr. Hernandez saved me from dying of embarrassment.
I listened intently as the doctor spoke, "I'm Dr. Matthews and I was one of the doctors involved in your surgery. Luckily no irreparable damage was done and we managed to drain the excess fluid from the base of your skull where there was a small fracture"
"These types of injuries tend to heal on their own so we're confident that you will heal over time. However, we want you to come back two weeks from now for another CAT scan to make sure you are progressing smoothly. We also want you to wear a neck brace for the following week and intermediately for the next three months"
"What if he's in pain what should we do?" I asked before I could second guess it. The doctor didn't look bothered by my question and the rest of who was in the room just looked happy that I asked.
"We'll be prescribing some pain medication in the case that he needs it," I nodded accepting his answer.
"Also you should avoid doing anything that'll cause you additional injuries"
"Of course," Sebastian readily agreed.
The doctor glanced over Seb's chart before nodding to himself, "that's it, the receptionist will have the release form for you to sign and you can be out of here in a couple of hours"
I looked down at Michael's phone to check the time, it was 4:15 am. I didn't realize it was that late or that early I should say. We've been here a long while then.
"Thank you so much," Mrs. Hernandez pulled the man into a hug which was a shock to me and the doctor. Then again he did help save her son.
"It's not a problem"
The doctor left and Mrs. Hernandez pulled Seb into an embrace. She held him gently and I could hear her crying quietly as she held her son, her only son at that. I couldn't even imagine how she was feeling right now. Mr. Hernandez walked over to the two and fussed over his son as well. I could hear Seb complain but I thought it was sweet and decided to give them some privacy.
I stood from where I was seated and walked over to the door. Sebastian looked at me briefly and I smiled letting him know that I was okay. I closed the door behind me and turned around.
I was met with the eyes of my parents and my brother.
"Oh my gosh," I squealed as they glided over to me "you guys scared me"
"I'm sorry baby," my mom grins pulling me into a hug.
"Where's Sebastian?" Dad asked as he wrapped one of his arms around mom's waist.
"He's inside with his parents"
"That's wonderful," mom rocked on her feet "we can meet them today"
"Are you sure about that?" I asked her.
She looked at my dad, "yeah we're sure"
"Fine," I grumbled.
"Hand over the phone too," Michael groaned as he held out his hands taking the phone from me. I knocked on the door and waited about 10 seconds until I heard Mr. Hernandez yell that it was open.
I opened the door and there was a pause as mom and dad stepped into the room.
"Olivia," Mrs. Hernandez gasped as if she had seen a ghost.
"Omg! Lucy"
