《Return Of The Nerd|||| COMPLETED》Chapter 22- Mild Disappointment

Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:
I was shocked at what I saw when I opened the door. Sebastian was sitting up in his hospital bed on his phone with a bottle of water in his hand. He was in a hospital gown with a bandage wrapped around his head. He looked up when he heard the door close behind me.
I stared at him and I could feel the tears rolling down my face at his appearance. He looked so tired, my guilt returned in full force.
I walked over to him and threw my hands around him, "I'm so sorry this happened to you"
He gently pushed me away from him and looked at me with confusion clear in his eyes, "I'm sorry but who are you?"
"What?" I reeled back "y-you don't remember me?"
"Should I?" he asked curiously.
My face fell at his question, he really doesn't remember me. I knew I would be consumed with guilt as soon as I saw him and now that he doesn't remember me it must be a sign to leave him alone. My insecurities and my need for vengeance was the reason he was here. It was a sign I wanted to ignore but as he sat there waiting for an answer I decided to take the opportunity and spare him the drama of being with someone like me.
"Ohh I'm so sorry," I turned to walk away.
"Who are you?"
I kept the tears at bay before smiling at him, "I'm nobody"
I slowly walked to the door. I wondered if his parents knew that he had some amount of memory loss. His mom brushed off his surgery when telling me so it's likely that they already knew about it. I had to say something just the same because if he forgot me it is highly likely that he forgot other events and things in his life as well.

I used my hand to clasp the door handle and I was about to yank the door open when I heard him speak, "you just gonna walk away from me Ria?"
My brain went a mile a minute as I twirled around to face him. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he had a bouquet of roses in his hand. Where did he get that from and how had I not noticed it before? I blinked looking away from the roses to him.
I blew out a breath, "What did you say?"
"I'm disappointed Ria, you were just going to leave me here without telling me who you are," he pouted he actually pouted "like what kind of response is nobody"
I rolled my eyes and ran over to him. I pressed my lips to his for a quick kiss before slapping him on his forearm.
"You jerk," I mumbled, "you made me think you had amnesia?"
He rolled his eyes, "well I didn't actually think you would leave"
My entire face grew red, "I'm sorry"
"It's okay"
"Where'd you get those?" I asked him as I pointed at the roses in his hand.
"It's a secret," he smirked.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes which quickly turned into a smile when he handed the bouquet to me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath appreciating the smell of the roses.
"Thank you baby"
It was silent for a moment as we enjoyed the moment together.
"You know that what happened wasn't your fault right?" he asked me.
"I know"
He pulled back surprised at my answer, "well that wasn't the answer I was expecting"
A giggle escaped my lips at his reaction, "don't worry babe I totally lied, it was definitely my fault"
He rolled his eyes, "do I have to go into detail as to why it wasn't your fault?"

"That's not necessary"
"Ria," he growled playfully.
I drew a deep breath "I know it's not my fault Seb, I know that but if I wasn't so hellbent on getting back at the idiot I wouldn't have been upstairs and you wouldn't have felt the need to come and save me from myself"
"And did I save you from yourself?"
"I still want revenge on him if that's what you're asking," I looked at him sheepishly "but..."
"But?" he asked impatiently.
"But I'm willing to let you decide what happens next," I twisted my hands nervously "I don't want to be a revenge crazy person"
He laughed loudly at my description of myself, "I think I can work with that"
"Just for the fun of it can I see the picture you got of him?"
I snickered at his request, I knew he would eventually want to see it. I reached into my back pocket to see if my phone was in there but it wasn't. I searched all of my other pockets but it was nowhere to be found. That's when I remembered where it was. Oh shit! I had dropped my phone when I ran towards Sebastian. It was probably still at my house. Damn it!
"I kind of left my phone at home," I ran a hand through my hair "in my defense I was in shock about what was happening"
Just then Michael, Matt, Rex, Katy, Jacob, Sarah, and Chris burst into the room. Jacob and Rex moved over to Seb to check on him. Michael had his phone in his hand and I glanced at it to see that someone was calling him.
"What's wrong?" I asked him as I wrapped my arms around myself preparing for whatever news I was about to get.
"Mom and Dad called"
"And?" I asked him not seeing why he looked so nervous "they want to facetime us"
"Ohh," I murmured.
His phone rang once again but this time he answered it and held up the phone to his face so that our parents could see us. Dad looked highly amused while mom's expression looked to be a mixture between anger and annoyance.
"H-hey guys"
"Care to explain why we found your ex by himself passed out on the floor of our house?"
"Um... well... you see... it's like this..."
"Stop scaring the poor child honey," Dad took the phone from her and put the camera on him.
"I'm guessing this wasn't a part of your plan?" Dad sighed.
"No Sir," I mumbled still feeling stupid for even thinking of this. I looked over at Sebastian who was busy speaking with Rex and Jacob. Sarah, Matt, Katy, and Chris were talking amongst themselves while Michael waited for me to finish using his phone.
I could hear mom in the background mumbling as she stuffed her duffle bag. She was grumbling about how we should have listened to her and taken what she said seriously. I'm not going to lie my mom was right about there being consequences for my actions.
"Honey dear you know this isn't your fault right?"
I nodded absently mindedly before speaking, "I know but I can't help but feel responsible"
"How is he?" mom asked interrupting dad.
I looked over at Seb, "he's good right now,"
"Great"
"We'll see you in a bit sweetie"
"Oh joy," Michael closed his eyes.
Dad hung up and I was left with a distracting thought. What were we going to do about Jeremy?
