Sebastian Hernandez's Point of View:

It was the day after the whole fiasco with Clarissa and the news has spread like wildfire. I always knew that news traveled fast around this school but I clearly underestimated how fast. The entire school was buzzing with news about Clarissa and everyone had their different spin on it, which is proof that the more people talk the truth is skewed into lies.

Some persons were saying that Jeremy got her pregnant, some said that her one-night stands finally caught up to her and others were saying that the baby might have some kind of S.T.D with how Clarissa was. All of the rumors were far from the truth but of course, only Adrianna, Katy, Matt, Rex, Jacob, and I knew that. Adrianna's dad knew we were up to something but she didn't tell him what and he didn't want to know, something about having plausible deniability.

I've yet to meet Ria's parents but I have spoken to her brother here and there in the past year while Ria was gone. I had wanted to try out for some of the sports teams but decided against it in the end.

Today I was planning on taking Ria on a surprise date. We've hung out plenty of times but I have yet to show her that I could set up a romantic evening. After what happened with Jasmine I was scared to put myself out there in that way again but I really liked Ria and she deserved to be wined and dined, well minus the wine since we're both seventeen.

I walked into Biology class to find Ria already sitting in her seat looking as beautiful as ever. Her head was buried in a book which I assumed was the one she meant to pick up from the library to help with our project. We decided to start it now and not waste our time like all these other idiots who were on their phones. I sat in the chair beside her, Miss Cooper chose that time to walk in just as the bell rang.

Ria reached out and took one of my hands in her own causing me to smile. I loved that she wasn't afraid to be affectionate with me even if she didn't look up from the book the entire time.

"Good morning class," Miss Cooper greeted us.

We all greeted her in return, "good morning Miss Cooper"

"I have some assessments to grade so take the session to work on your project or homework," she shrugged "just don't be on your phone and don't be loud"

She pulled out what I am assuming were the test papers and began grading them.

I reach into my bag and pulled out a book and a pen, mind you I had only one free hand so it was kind of difficult. I tore out a sheet of paper, picked up the paper scribbled my note. I pushed the pen and paper over to Ria and waited for her to read it.

She looked up at me confused and then looked down at the note.

Roses are red, violets are blue

sugar is sweet and so are you

She snickered to herself and rolled her eyes. I looked away when she started to write her response and waited till she was done.

She pushed the paper towards me and set down the pen.

Roses and violets, how original of you baby : )

I laughed quietly so as not to disturb Miss Cooper and get into trouble.

Lillies and Jasmines more to your liking?

She laughed at that.

As long as you thought of it yourself baby I'll love it.

Okay you and me tonight, underneath the stars snuggled up in each other's arms as we watch the world go by but at that moment it's just us.

She looked at me with a big smile on her face. She looked like an angel, so beautiful.

"Now that's original," she joked to which I just rolled my eyes.

"I'd love to," she smiled.

"I've got to say, man, I've never seen you this way for anyone, not even Jasmine," Rex commented as he helped me to put all the food my dad made into the picnic basket. I would have asked my mom to make it but I didn't want to bother her since she just got back from New York.

Jacob glared at him as he held up his hands in mock defense.

"It's cool Jacob, he is right anyway," I beamed at him "besides he'll be doing the same for Katy soon anyway"

"Oh shut up," he grimaced as he closed the basket and handed it to me.

After what happened with Jasmine I was quite literally closed for business. I refused to be in a relationship with anyone. I was scared that they wanted to be with me because my parents were rich. My parents having money has never been a big deal to me but it is to everyone else and it's annoying. I wasn't raised any differently than anyone else.

My parents wanted me to appreciate what I have in life so I didn't understand how much money they had until I was around 13 years old. They were famous chefs who owned multiple restaurants and cafes all over America. It was refreshing to not have someone always asking me to meet my parents or for me to share recipes with them. That's part of the reason why it was so refreshing to be around Ria. She didn't treat me differently than how she treats everyone else and she actually takes an interest in me. I grew up around Rex and Jacob so it was easy for me to trust them.

"You better leave before Mama Hernandez sees you and pull out the questionnaire," Jacob joked but I knew my mom would actually do that.

I grabbed everything and opened the door.

"Wish me luck," I mumbled.

Rex chuckle, "Dude it's just Adrianna, you don't need luck you'll be fine"

"He's meeting her parents when he picks her up," Jacob hissed.

"Oh shit I guess you do need it"
