So here I am starting at the beautiful lady clad in a very beautiful dress

It's the Big day not the 'BIG' day it's my engagement day. Today is the day where I'll be exposed to the Business world for the first time. Abhimanyu's world for the first time. The venue is set, the preparations done and now it's time.

Marrying

'The Abhimanyu Shekhawat'

is one thing but becoming the daughter-in-law of one of the most powerful and rich Family is a whole different story.

And for the first time I am happy to be surrounded by doctors.

"You can't play the game of 'what ifs' Anu" Anna spoke

"You are the best you know right"

Leah was cutoff by Dan

"Because she is you sister right?!"

And finally I laughed.

"Finally. Now go kick some asses"

It was Rits

Why my friends are obsessed with kicking asses?

"My Aaru looks like an Angel" Ma told seeing me

"Indeed!"Pa told hugging me.

I was told to go alone in the car and Mr Shekhawat will take me to the venue from there. The ride was silent. We reached the venue, the decorations were really beautiful. If at any other time I would have stood back and took a couple of minutes to admire these decorations.

The door was opened by the guy who was haunting my dreams for the past week.

He was looking like The King He is.

With the confidence and arrogance a complete contrast to what I saw the last time we met. He extended his hands, I took it after the initial apprehension. His face reflected Proudness, awe, admiration and the same feeling which I couldn't comprehend yet.

He bend down a little, I could feel his breath on my neck making a shiver to run down my spine. He sure had

'The effect' on me.

Then he spoke pulling me towards him by my waist.

"You completely look like the Queen you are. Now Slay it completely with that confident smile of yours. Show the world who you are."

And kissed the side of my head. Making me lose my mind. The lights, his words, this moment looking at him after what felt like an eternity which was in actual a week or so.

We stared at each others' eyes talking for our Hearts. Then his words rang in my ears giving the much needed confidence. So I took a deep breathe and we started walking.

It's showtime babe!

He answered some reporters even for me, trust me I really felt helpless, I don't know how to deal with all these.

We posed for some pictures.

Let me add, it was nerve-racking.

We entered the venue. The decoration was really superb. After many fake smiles and thankyou.

It was time for the ring exchange.

He took my hand in his and slid the ring in my finger and I did the same. I saw him looking at me for a couple of seconds, as if he was waiting for me to throw the ring and get out of here. Trust me I was tempted.

After putting the ring I stared at the ring. That was the moment when I finally realised it's really happening.

I am going to spend my whole life with this man sitting beside me.

I knew one thing for sure I was not his equal.

When the reporters enquired, from the moment he had to step in answer for me, I knew it was not about lack of confidence in me, rather it was a feeling of unworthiness.

And I can't live with him like that. As if feeling dependent.

And the party continued. Never for one moment he left me. Even though his arms firmly holding me was making a havoc in my system.

I liked it.

And for the first time I felt a need to be dependent on somebody.

According to me a relationship should bring each other strength otherwise in the long run clashes are bound to happen,

I don't care what others think. But for me, a rather very ambitious girl who fought for achieving her dreams all these years, I didn't do all that for finally feeling helpless.

We should stand as equals but what I am feeling is not what I want.

I felt vulnerable.

Anyways I am ready to spend my life with him but for that I should make myself deserving for that.

I have to become his equal.

"Will you dance with me Adi?"

"Huh?"

"Dance with me"

He asked with a dazzling smile.

I took his hand.

Under the limelight looking into his eyes. We started swaying to the beautiful melody.

The world around me didn't matter at that moment.

It was me and him.

His arms around me, my hands looped around his neck.

Our bodies moulding together.

It was an unusual feeling.

Something I'll cherish the days to come.

Thats when my insecurities kicked in again..

Maybe sensing the change he raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"I am not your equal"

He smiled that million dollar smile melting me yet again.

The warmness enveloping me, my heart at that moment....

And that was all I needed his one word.

And the assurance his eyes gave me at that moment was all that I ever need or want.

I placed my forehead on his.

"Are you sure about us?"

"More than anything my Queen"

He spoke with such tenderness that I had a doubt he was Abhimanyu's twin.

But I just smiled and placed my head on his shoulder and let him lead me.

What may come I am sure as hell from this moment forth I will prepare myself for him to be

his equal.
