*Sirius POV*

"I think it's dead," I whispered to my mates.

I softly nudged the bottom of my boot into its side, hoping to awaken it.

"Stop it you bloody bitch," it growled quietly.

I squealed in shock, shoving Remus in front of me as a human shield from the wild beast.

I cautiously peeked over the taller boy's shoulder, wary of the strange person who was unconscious only moments ago by the courtyard.

"Merlin's beard Padfoot, she's not going to eat you!" Remus spoke, frustration leaking into his voice. "Miss, are you alright?"

She groaned in pain, shifting ever so slightly.

"That can't be a person Moony, let alone a woman. It looks wrong.." I trailed off after receiving a sharp look from James.

"She could be seriously hurt Sirius, be serious for once." He berated.

"I'm always Sirius, what are you on about mate?" I reply cheekily, winking seductively at my best friend.

"Oh look she's opening her eyes!" Peter squeaked.

* Lilah POV*

I cautiously opened my eyes to the four boys hovering over my dirtied figure. They all seemed to be watching me intently.

My eyes connect with that of the boy closest to me, scars marring his face.

Scars that I would recognise anywhere.

"Dad?" I cried.

The boy spluttered, shock flitting across his sharp features.

"Something you want to tell us, Moony?" A boy with glasses nudged him playfully.

"Maybe it's half beast.." A boy with black shoulder length hair muttered, only to receive a sharp look from Dad.

"Um sorry, I don't think I'm your Dad." He replied politely.

"Um-uh right. Sorry, you look similar to my Dad."

"It's no problem love, what's your name?" Glasses asked.

"Lilah Lupin at your service," I mock salute.

"Lupin you say?" Glasses retorts, smirking.

"No, it's Snape. Of course, I said Lupin you git, are you deaf?" I question sarcastically.

"Feisty, I like it!" Glasses winks.

"Looks like you've got yourself a stalker Moony, haha." The rat boy squeaked.

"Stalker?" I snort, "Stalkers usually kidnap the person, not their last name."

Red blossomed across his rat-like features, his pudgy nose twitching in embarrassment.

"You never know, Stalker." He retorted lamely.

Glasses laughed at his mate, his eyes twinkling in the sun's rays.

He also looked familiar, maybe I knew one of his children?

Children. Harry.

Oh, Merlin.

"Have you guys seen anyone else around here? Perhaps Harry?" I question, eager to see my son.

I am never going to get used to that – like Merlin, I'm a mother at 17 to a son who's older than me. Like that's just fucking weird.

"Who's Harry?" Glasses questioned, resting a hand on my arm reassuringly.

"He's my so- um he's my.. super best friend! He's my super best friend." I cover awkwardly.

"Super best friend, eh?" The black haired boy snickered.

He kind of reminded me of Sirius, just ruder.

"Give it a rest Sirius," Dad-look-a-like said.

Sirius?

This was clearly Sirius Black and not just some random kid who looked similar. If this was Sirius then something had to of gone wrong during the battle, but what? One moment I was battling Voldemort and the next I'm with a younger version of Sirius and a guy who looks like my Dad?

Wait.

If this is a younger version of Sirius, then maybe-

"Remus man, what do we do with it?" Sirius questioned.

Perhaps this was the afterlife, Dad and Sirius were here after all. Well a younger version of them. But wouldn't they remember me then?

It?

"Oh, like you're one to talk mutt," I growled at Sirius.

"What was that?" He asked, his nostrils flaring as he stepped forward angrily.

I took another step closer, "you heard me."

Dad quickly stepped between us, placing his arms out in order to separate us.

"Moony just let me make this one exception and I promise that I will never hit a girl again," Sirius begged, clasping his hands in front of him dramatically.

"No Padfoot, don't be an idiot!" Remus grunted, struggling to contain Sirius.

"Violent and out of control dogs are put down, you know?" I smirked.

"You bitch." He seethed.

"Sorry Siri, you're the only bitch here - y'know with you being a mutt and all." I winked cheekily.

"Sirius calm down, would you? She's obviously just taunting you and you're just making the situation worse." James butted in.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

His features softened slightly as he looked at me, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"I don't have good control with my temper." He muttered.

"Neither," I smiled at him.

He met my eyes once again, a smile tilting at the corner of his mouth.

"Lupin, right?" He started, waiting for my nod of confirmation before continuing. "This is Remus Lupin, any possible relation?"

Yes, he's my Dad.

"You're Aunt Janie's kid, right?" I asked my Dad.

"Uh yeah I am, do I know you?" He questioned suspiciously.

Always suspicious, my Dad, not much has changed.

"I'm Alfred's daughter, Sammy is my older brother," I replied, playing with the rip in my jeans awkwardly.

Alfred was my Nana Janie's younger brother.

"I didn't know that he had a daughter?" He questioned once again, apparently not buying my story.

"Yeah he didn't really know either, I only met Sammy last year. My mum raised me." I lied.

"Oh, sorry. Apparently, no one thought that it was important to tell me." He grunted unapologetically, a slither of doubt lingering in his eyes.

"Ay Moony maybe we should get her to Madam Pomfrey? The poor sod looks like she's been in a battle for Merlin's sake!" Glasses exclaimed, throwing his hand up in the air to emphasise his point.

"I'm James by the way, Love," Glasses introduced himself, softly sliding the hand on my arm down to hold onto my wrist as he led me towards the castle.

"Um this might sound like a stupid question but what year is it?" I questioned, playing with my fingers nervously.

"You were right, that was a bloody stupid question," Sirius commented.

"Just answer the fuc-"

"1978," James answered. "It's 1978."

"Fuck Merlin," I muttered.

"Well, that isn't a very nice thing to say, Love." James smirked.
