"I warned you," Lucy stared into my eyes. I had drank blood, and because of this i had gained some part of my humanity. I now understood what I had done, and I had felt bad. I'd drank from Catherine. I was a sick, bloodthirsty monster, and I'd tried to kill my girlfriend.

EX-girlfriend.

I wasn't going to be with her anymore. I had to stay away from her until I was older, then I could control myself.

'till then, I'd have to suffer without her. I'd have to suffer with Lucy.

"Hans, I WARNED you! Why won't you listen?!" Lucy was screaming now. I wasn't talking to her - she may of warned me, but she didn't stop Catherine. At least I couldn't help myself...

"Hans! If you keep ignoring me, I'll kill Teddy!"

I sighed. "you have to have what you want, don't you? And there isn't a Teddy at this mansion," I sighed.

"You're making me sound like a spoiled brat!" I grinned.

"guess we understand eachother, then,"

"You need stop being annoying,"

"you need to stop being in charge," i sighed.

"I can't go back to Catherine, can I?" Lucy sighed.

"no, Hans. Unless you want to kill her. I know you..." she gulped, "Love her, but it's history. You're a vampire now. You're MINE now,"

"I guess I am, yes. Just promise me one thing - update me on how she's doing," Lucy sighed. "Ok, Hans. I promise."

The sun rose really slowly. I was stood on the balcony watching, and I didn't know how Id got there. Suddenly, Damien entered to balcony, and I kissed him. We watched the sun rise together.

I jumped, shocked, and heard Damien soothing me.

"it's OK, just a dream! Calm down!"

I gulped. "Hans... he..."

"err..." Damien looked uncomfortable. "well... that WASN'T a dream."

"Hans wouldn't do that."

"erm, Teddy, listen. Hans was out of control - he hadn't tasted human blood. If there's one thing you have to understand about him now, it's that."

"I want to see him."

"you - you can't, he'll kill you-"

"Damn, Damien, I want to see him! He's OK, everything's going to be OK..."

"Teddy," Damien looked at me, very serious. "Its not OK,"

"YOU'RE A LIER! HANS IS OK! HANS ISN'T DEAD! YOU'RE DEAD! EVERYTHINGS WRONG, AND I CAN'T CHANGE IT! THIS IS ALL WRONG!"

I began to cry, in distress and concentration, trying to force myself to believe it. It was a real strain, because I knew what had really happened, and I knew what my dream meant.

I'd seen the future.

"you're wrong, Damien. I'm sorry, but it won't work. Not for me. It will never work."

"I..." Damien looked deeply depressed. "I understand that, Teddy. I will not push you. I just didn't think you'd say it straight to me like that," his eyes welled up with tears, which was both shocking and annoying.

"It hurts, Teddy. It really hurts."

"I'm sorry Damien, and I know it hurts, but... but I can't fall for a monster."

I knew the truth, deep down, though. I was already falling for a monster.
