I tried to act cool, but he pissed me off SO much right now. First he kidnaps my lover, then he tries to make her love him forever??!! What kind of brother WAS he?

Teddy looked hopeless, hurt and hopeless. As id said, he'd been feeding her the wrong venom. The one he used was permuto, which just made all the 5 senses swap with your partner. It wasn't a bad serum, but it wasn't the one he wanted.

"you kidnapped my girl."

"she doesnt want you."

"I KNOW THAT!" he'd touched a nerve there. "OF COURSE I KNOW THAT! BUT SHE IS STILL MY SLAVE AND THEREFORE MINE!"

Edward looked genuinely shocked.

"I thought you were bad to her, but that? Damien, you don't even give a damn whether she cares or not! You're selfish! You don't deserve her!"

"Neither do you!"

"at least I'll love her, protect her!"

"That is exactly what I've been doing!"

All the time the two had been fighting, I'd realised something. Hans wasn't dead. He'd got drained. Hans was as alive as the two of them.
