(Y/N) glanced around at the unfamiliar surroundings. She had spotted the house and was currently standing around the corner, leaning against the wall.
I want to run away.
She stared at the ground, trying to work up enough courage to go and knock on the door. Her heart was beating incredibly fast and she couldn't calm down.
Do I look okay?
Quickly, (Y/N) fished out her phone and turned the camera on. She lightly adjusted her hair, making sure there were no stray pieces. She stared at her reflection for a few more seconds, before closing her phone. She clutched the nicely wrapped up box in her hands.
Did I do too much?
(Y/N) looked down at her outfits, suddenly feeling very insecure. She bit her lip and negative thoughts began filling her mind. All nitpicking at her imperfections.
Why did I even-
A suddenly buzz from her phone, snapped her out of it. She glanced at the screen that had lit up from the message. It was from Lev.
Tall Bean: how far are you? :D

You: I'm almost there.

Tall Bean: okay! Take your time.

(Y/N) sighed and closed her phone, putting it in her pocket. She took in a deep breath, trying to clear her mind and trying to calm down.
I'm already late, I have to go.
Forcing herself to get off of the wall, she slowly made her way to the front door of the house. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears. Shaking, she held up her hand and softly knocked on it.
The door suddenly, creaked open revealing a taller black haired boy. (Y/N) stared at him, not quite used to seeing him in casual clothes.

"(Y-Y/N)." Kuroo stammered, taken aback also not used to seeing her in causal clothes. Seeing this, (Y/N)'s destructive thoughts only strengthened.
"You look really nice."
.....I look nice?
"O-Oh, thank you." (Y/N) mumbled, out of confusion,"You look nice too." She continued. It was like all of her insecurities melted away.
"I guess we both clean up pretty well." Kuroo joked, moving aside to let the girl into the house. (Y/N) entered and her eyes landed on an array of people.
"(Y/N)!" Lev exclaimed, spotting her from across the room. Hearing his shout, some turned to look at the girl, who gave a small wave. Kuroo came up next to her, after closing the door.
"W-Where do I put this?" (Y/N) asked, holding up her gift. It was a small box, but it was filled with macarons that she had baked the night before. She didn't have much time to come up with a gift, so she decided to take advantage of her baking skills.
"O-Oh, I'll take that." Kuroo exclaimed, surprised. He was so distracted earlier, he didn't even notice the box she held in her hands.
"Thank you, (Y/N)." He said as he gently took the gift from her hands. (Y/N) nodded her head, nervously tucking some hair behind her ear.
Is....am I okay?

(Y/N) stood by Kai, to nervous to approach anyone else at the party. Lev was hanging out with the some of the other volleyball players she didn't know too well, so she decided it was best to avoid him. But at least she was with Kai, his presence made everything a bit more comfortable.
"(Y/N)? Are you okay?" Kai asked, noticing hr uneasiness a bit.
"Yeah, just..." (Y/N) paused,"There are a lot of people here." She continued.

"It's mainly just the volleyball team and a couple of kids from another school." Kai explained.
"Another school?" (Y/N) questioned, curious.
"Yeah, they're from Fukurodani." Kai explained, making (Y/N)'s eyes widen. From what she known, Nekoma played against Fukurodani a lot.
"(Y/N)-senpai, come hangout with us!" a familiar voice exclaimed, (Y/N) turned around to meet Lev's eyes. It seemed like he was walking towards some other people.
Oh god, there's strangers.
She faced Kai again, with a nervous expression, not sure what to do in this situation. Kai smiled and waved his hand, gesturing her to go.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine." Kai reassured.
"...okay." (Y/N) mumbled, walking over to Lev and Kenma. Lev excitedly grabbed her shoulders, pushing her towards the other two. She only recognized Kenma out of them, giving the other one a nervous smile. The boy had black hair similar to Kuroos, though it wasn't as crazy as Kuroo's, just a bit messy.
He's......pretty?
"Oh, (L/N)." Kenma greeted.
"Hi, Kenma." (Y/N) replied, she then glanced over at the stranger,"I'm (L-L/N)." She explained. He nodded his head in response.
"Akaashi. Nice to meet you, (L/N)." The black haired boy said calmly.
"Nice you meet you too." (Y/N) replied. The four of them continued to make conversation, (Y/N) and Lev both oblivious to the fact that Akaashi had already heard about (Y/N) through Kenma. Akaashi would occasionally glance over at the girl, his eyes filled with curiosity.
He never had a clear idea of what type of girl Kuroo liked, and now there was one right in front of him. He was also a bit worried for his friend.
For he was sure that Kuroo couldn't have been the only who liked her.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
