(Y/N) adjusted her coat, making sure it was properly zipped. Class had just ended and she was at the entrance preparing to leave. She quickly shoved her hands into her pockets before exiting the school. Almost instantly, she felt the cold air hit her face and she stiffened up.
Why is it so cold?
Uncomfortably, (Y/N) began walking towards the gates of the school. She stared at the ground, ignoring the students that chatted excitedly.
I have so much things to do.
(Y/N) groaned, thinking about the mountain of homework. So deep in thought, she didn't notice the person in front of her and walked straight into them.
"Oh-"
"Sorry-"
Both of them said at the same time, (Y/N) glanced up and made eye contact with Kuroo. She stepped back a bit, startled by his presence.
"K-Kuroo-san." (Y/N) stammered out, oddly formal.
"Kuroo-san? (L/N), we're the same age." Kuroo reminded, chuckling a bit. (Y/N) nodded her head and shivered as a gust of wind flew by.
"Oh, are you cold?" Kuroo asked, concerned.
"I'm o-okay for now. Don't worry." (Y/N) replied, gritting her teeth.
"Lets get to the train station quickly then." Kuroo suggested, as he began walking. (Y/N) hesitantly followed him and Kuroo slowed his pace to match hers.
"Uh, you're walking home alone today?" (Y/N) asked, noticing that none of the other volleyball players were with him.
"Yeah, Yamamoto is absent today. Kenma and Yaku have cleaning duty," Kuroo paused,"Lev.....I don't know where he went. He just rushed off." He continued.
"He has a lot of energy, huh." (Y/N) commented.
"Yeah, too bad he lacks docosahexaenoic acid." Kuroo muttered, making (Y/N) let out a small laugh. Kuroo's eyes widened as he heard the soft laughter.

She got the joke?
But her laughter was cut short as another gust of wind came by. Kuroo watched as (Y/N) seemed to shrivel up, trying to burry herself into her coat. He stared at her for a couple of moments before he stopped walking. (Y/N) stared at him confused as she stopped too.
"Is something wrong-" She paused as Kuroo began taking his scarf off and began to wrap it around her neck, instead. Her face immediately flushed.
"Here, you should be warmer, now." Kuroo exclaimed.
"E-Eh, Kuroo? W-Wait, but I d-don't-"
"It's fine, looks better on you anyways." Kuroo reassured. He adjusted the scarf around her, trying to make sure that it fit well, not noticing the girls red face. After he deemed it well enough, they resumed walking to the train station again.
"T-Thank you, Kuroo." (Y/N) mumbled, making Kuroo shrug in response.
"No problem, (L/N)." Kuroo replied. They walked next to each other in silence, taking in the scenery before them. The piles of leaves along with the vast amounts of high schoolers. Eventually, the two made it to the train platform and waited patiently for the train to arrive.
"You and Lev seem close." Kuroo commented.
"Yeah, he's very nice...and loud." (Y/N) replied.
"Uh, he calls you by your first name." Kuroo pointed out.
"Oh, yeah." (Y/N) mumbled, forgetting she let him do that,"I m-mean, I call him by his first name too." She continued, making Kuroo chuckle.
"I hope he's not too much. Lev just gets excited when he has a new friend." Kuroo explained, reminding (Y/N) of what Kai had told her last week.
"I don't think so, he actually wanted to become friends with you."
"(Y-Y/N)." (Y/N) blurred out.

"Huh?" Kuroo exclaimed, confused.
"You can call me (Y/N) too."

Wednesday 12:26 PM
(Y/N) picked up one the stack of books that was in the classroom. She was suppose to deliver it to the faculty office today. The girl had already finished up her lunch with Chiyo this time, all the volleyball players had to meet up with their coaches today. And to her surprised, she was kinda disappointed.
A part of her was excited to finally have a few more friends. Nonetheless, she got through lunch fine. She walked past a couple of students that were roaming the halls, there was still a good portion of lunchtime left.
(Y/N) slowly approached the staircase, carefully making her way down. She didn't want to fall down or crack her skull open anytime soon.
Why is the faculty office so far?
As she approached the second floor, she barely avoided another student trying to walk up the stairs. She sighed as one of the books slid off of the top of the stack. Reaching down to pick it, another person had already grabbed it. (Y/N) glanced up and saw Kenma
"Here." Kenma mumbled, placing the book back on top.
"Oh, thank you." (Y/N) exclaimed.
".......uh, do you need any help?" Kenma asked, staring at her struggle. (Y/N) slowly nodded her head, her arms were getting pretty weak.
"If you don't mind." (Y/N) exclaimed.
I guess they're done with their volleyball thing.
"They need to be delivered to the faculty office." (Y/N) explained as Kenma took half of the books from her arms. He held it with ease. They began walking down to the stairs, the weight of the books not as overbearing. And silence encompassed the two as they made their way down the halls.
Eventually, they made it too the faculty office and placed the books down next to the other stacks of books. After that, they made their way back to the staircase, both going to the third floor. But, Kenma stopped walking as they reached the second floor.
"Hey, (L/N)." He called out, making (Y/N) stop walking as well. Kenma held the drink that he'd been holding this whole time.
"Could you give this to Kuroo?" Kenma asked,"I don't feel like going to the third floor." He explained. Feeling like she owed Kenma a favor, (Y/N) nodded, and took the drink from Kenma. Without another word, Kenma walked off back to his classroom.
(Y/N) stared at the drink in her hand, wondering what she had just agreed to. She shrugged off the feeling of nervousness and made her way to the third floor. Slowly, she walked through the halls, taking her time. Finally, she arrived the classroom.
The door was already opened, so she peered in trying to find the black haired boy. But he was nowhere to be seen. Fortunately, Yaku spotted her immediately, a bit confused.
"(L/N)?" Yaku called out.
"O-Oh! Yaku." (Y/N) exclaimed, she quickly walked over to the boy. She could feel the stares as she stood in front of the volleyball player.
Why are they staring?
"What are you doing here?" Yaku asked.
"Kenma told me to give this to Kuroo." (Y/N) explained, handing the drink off to him. Yaku nodded his head, and (Y/N) took this as her cue to leave.
"O-Okay! Uh, have a nice day." (Y/N) said before rushing out of the classroom. Her palms were sweaty and she was shaking in fear.
Its okay....I'll be okay.

Dungeon Core? Nah, I Think I'll Just Get Super-Wealthy Instead
The cycle is simple enough. A Dungeon Core is born from a wayward soul. It seeks power and agency, and works to accumulate wealth to fuel its power, in turn using this power to accumulate further wealth. Inevitably, the mind is lost as desperation and ambition drive it to commit darker and darker acts. Shortly thereafter, the adventurers arrive to quell the core. This is a tale that has repeated itself countless times throughout history: all cores desire power. And yet, this core seems to have it backwards. It doesn't want to rule the world. It has no desire to enslave or conquer. No, this core doesn't want to be a warlord, a villain, or a tyrant. It wants to start a core-poration. After all, when money is power, what greater weapon is there than capitalism? Join a dungeon core that wastes an absurd amount of time and effort trying not to be evil on his journey to earn fat stacks against all odds. -This is a 'Dungeon Core' type fiction with LitRPG elements in it. The start may be fairly slow compared to the average. Expect roughly 2.5k per chapter. -I'm only a hobbyist writer. As such, there may be the occasional error and pacing may be poorly-handled. Constructive criticism is alway welcome. I'm just here to write stuff that makes my brain release the g o o d c h e m i c a l s. -I am trashy and I like monsterpeople so you can expect an awful lot of those as we get further in. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoy.
