After finding out Bryson and Tiffany caused everything, Nash visited Bryson. He was leaning against the wall when Bryson came strolling out of a store.

"That was a neat little stunt you pulled back there on Halloween, trying to embarrass my brothers and letting Maggie take the fall." His deep voice caught Bryson off guard.

Bryson stopped and looked at him. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Nash stood up and walked over to him. "You don't know what I'm talking about, you tool? How dumb do you think I am?"

"Well...."

"It's funny. I don't know what Mags saw in you for all those years. To me, you're a little weasel who prefers to humiliate others to make themselves feel better."

"What are you going to do? Beat me up!"

"Nope, I'll let big brother handle it." Nash pointed to Mike, Bryson's older brother, and Sarah's fiancé.

"Bryson, you little shit! What's this I hear you've been giving some poor girl a hard time?" Mike asked him.

"Come on, Mike," he whined.

"Don't come on to me. That was low, even for you. Now get home. Mom and Dad want a word with you."

Bryson walked away in a huff.

"Damn kids are always thinking they know it all," Mike said.

"Tell me about it," Nash replied.

"Hey, Sarah still wants that dinner."

"Tell Sarah sometime next week. I'll talk to Mags about it."

"Sounds good. Don't forget. You should be getting an invitation to the wedding." Mike walked away.

"Can't wait!"

I was lying on my bed reading when Nash walked in and plopped down next to me.

"Where were you?" I asked him, looking up from my book.

"I had some business to take care of with Nix. What are you doing?"

"Reading." I held up the book.

"Well, I can think of better things to do." Nash crawled over to me and pulled me to him. When things were getting good, we heard shouting.

"What are those yahoos yelling about now?"

"I don't know. Your brothers have been yelling all day."

He got up, went to the door, and opened it to find his brothers arguing.

"You're not going, Nolan!" Nixon said.

"Why not?"

"Because it's a high school party."

"Yeah, and I'm in high school. What's your point?"

"Because none of us are going. That's my point!"

"Well, you're not in charge!"

"Listen, dip-wad. You're not going," Nathan said.

"Who'll stop me?"

"He will," Noah said, pointing to Nash, who was standing next to Nixon.

"Come on, Nash," Nolan whined.

"Nolan, Ma and Dad left me in charge while they were away, which means no one is going to any parties, period," Nash said.

"Fine! Can I at least go over to Charlie's then?"

"As long as it's Charlie's and not any party. Trust me, I'll check on you."

"It'll only be Charlie's." Nolan went to his room to call his friend, Charlie.

A little while later, Nash dropped Nolan off at Charlie's house. He leaned over the seat. "Remember what I said, Nolan."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Nolan walked away from the car and Nash, and Nash pulled away, and Nolan went inside. He went up to Charlie's room.

"Well?" Charlie asked.

"They don't suspect a thing. We're going to that party, and there isn't anything my brothers can do to stop me."

"Right on, man." Charlie gave Nolan a slap handshake.

Nolan and Charlie arrived at the party, and it was booming. People were dancing, laughing, and drinking. Now you would think Nolan would use his brain and listen to his brothers, but he didn't.

He and Charlie walked around until they found a punch bowl. Nolan picked up a glass.

"I don't know, Nol. What if it's spiked?" Charlie asked.

"Who would spike the punch? I'm sure this is for the people who don't drink."

"I'll stick to pop."

"Suit yourself." Nolan poured the punch into a cup and filled it to the rim. "Bottoms up, Charlie." With that, he started drinking, drinking, and drinking more punch.

After about three cups of punch, Nolan was well lit, considering someone spiked the punch. He staggered around, looking for Charlie until he found him. "Charlie, there you were."

Charlie gave him a look. "Are you drunk?"

"Nah, it's a little punch. Hic. You should try some."

"No thanks. I'll pass."

"Well, I'll go get some more." Nolan staggered towards the punch bowl. As the night progressed, so did Nolan's drunken antics causing Charlie to get worried.

"Nolan! Come on! Get down from there!"

Nolan stood on a table, drinking and dancing. After enough coaxing, Charlie got him down, and he couldn't stand up straight. "Great, your brothers will kill us." He groaned, trying to help a drunken Nolan.

"Oh, no! Nash will kill me!" Nolan's eyes widened.

"I have to call someone. If I call my mom, she'll call yours."

"No, you can't call my ma. She'll kill me."

"Okay, then I'll call one of your brothers."

"No, you can't call them either."

"Then, who?"

He thought for a minute as he swayed back and forth. "I got it. Call Maddie."

"Who's Maddie?"

"The girl that lives with us and loves Nash. You know, Maddie."

He took a deep breath, pulled out Nolan's phone, and searched names until he came to mine. "Well, it's not Maddie, but it's close enough." He dialed the number.

Nolan?

"It's Charlie. Is this Maddie?"

No, It's Maggie.

"The girl that lives with Nolan and loves Nash?"

Yes, and the jury is still out on that one. Where's Nolan?

"Can you like not to be anywhere near his brothers are?"

Yeah, hang on, I'm going to the kitchen! No, get your own sandwich! Well, I'm not your mother! Sorry about that. Nash is such a baby. What's up?

"It's Nolan."

What about Nolan?

"Well, he's." He turned to see Nolan staggering around and falling.

He's what?

There was silence.

He's what, Charlie?

Charlie looked at Nolan, who got to his feet and started stripping. "He's drunk, but don't tell his brothers."

Okay.

"Can you come to get us?"

I don't have my license.

"What senior doesn't have their license?"

This senior, but let me make a call. Text me the address, and I'll come and get both of you.

"Thanks, Maggie."

I walked into the living room, where all the brothers were sitting.

"Is everything okay?" Nash asked me.

"Um, yes. Kat needs some help," I said.

"With what?" Nixon asked.

"With that time of the month. Yep, Kat needs help purchasing tampons."

"Ew, gross," the brothers said.

"I'll be back in a few, after helping her buy tampons. Bye." I left and walked, having Kat meet me down the street, and I climbed into her car.

"Why am I helping you again?" She asked me.

"Because you owe me for Halloween."

"Fine." She sighed

We drove until we found the house where Nolan was. She parked out front, and we both got out of the car.

"Maddie!" Nolan was drunk as a skunk, with Charlie trying to hold him up.

We walked over to them.

"I thought your name was Maggie?" Charlie asked me.

"It is," I said through gritted teeth. I took Nolan from Charlie with Kat's help, and we helped him to the car with Charlie following us. Once we were in the car, we took Charlie home, dropped him off at his house, then drove back to the house.

We pulled in, and Kat turned off the car. We both turned and looked at Nolan, who was three sheets to the wind.

"Hey, guys."

We looked at each other. "How are we going to get Nolan past his brothers?" Kat asked me.

"With a wish and a prayer. Let's hope Nolan doesn't end up puking on us." I cringed.

We got out of the car, then got him out of the backseat.

"You know, for a guy that's smaller than his brothers, he sure weighs a ton." Kat grunted.

"Tell me about it."

Once we got to the kitchen door, we leaned Nolan against the house, and I looked at him. "Nolan, stay quiet." I put my finger to my lips.

"Shh." He mimicked me with his fingers.

"Good boy. Now we'll slip in quietly, so your brothers don't catch us."

Nolan's eyes expanded. "That would be terrible."

"Yes, it would be."

We got him in as quietly as we could and started to help him up the stairs until a light turned on, and I heard Nash ask, "Maggie?"

I stuck my head out around the corner. "Oh, hey, Nash."

"What's going on?"

That's when it happened.

"Nash! Hey!" Nolan turned and tumbled down the steps. Kat and I facepalmed ourselves as we looked as Nolan fell right on his face. That was so not good.
