"I can believe we have to do this! This such bullshit," Nathan grumbled.

"Yeah, well, I don't like it either. So, suck it up the buttercup," Nixon said.

"This is so ridiculous." Noah shook his head.

"Um, you guys want to get moving. You're prolonging the inevitable and make it worse," Nash said. "Now, go on. Show the world who you are."

"Come on, Nash. We said we were sorry," Nolan whined.

"Well, baby brother, sorry, will not cut it. A little humility will help you and your egos." Nash patted his back.

With that, they waited until the halls became filled with students when the boy's bathroom door opened. The four of them ran out buck naked through the halls, yelling they were sorry to me.

I stood there laughing.

Nash came out of the bathroom and walked over to me. "So, do you approve?"

I looked at him. "I was all for the dress idea, but this is so much better. Thank you." I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek. He smiled, and we went back to watching his brothers streak the school.

Today the brothers learned a lesson in humility and how far they went. Because of this, everyone forgot about my journal and my crush on Bryson except for Bryson. He walked down the hallway and saw me standing with Nash, talking, and let's say, it piqued his interest.

After Nixon and the other brothers finished Nash's punishment, they ran back to the boy's bathroom to get dressed. As they dressed, they talked.

"I still can't believe he made us do that." Nixon buttoned his jeans.

"Well, can you blame him? We didn't think this whole payback through," Noah said.

"Yeah, you're right. Maggie only lied because she thought we would make a big deal out of it."

"We did. We read Maggie's journal in front of the whole school."

"I still can't believe she likes that tool. What guy doesn't remember someone like Maggie?" Nathan asked.

"A tool," Nixon answered.

They laughed as they left the boys' bathroom. The door of the last stall opened, and Bryson stepped out. They want to make a fool out of him. Then he will make a fool out of them, starting with me.

I had to admit Nash making the boys streak through school was a genius. But then again, they are the Gray brothers. If they didn't think of these things, I would have wondered about them.

I was filling in Kat and Marcy on what happened, and they couldn't help but laugh. We were talking when I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Nixon, it's your fault." I turned around, but it wasn't Nixon but Bryson.

"Hey, Maggie."

"H-hey, Bryson." God, I was nervous. My heart started to beat fast. Bryson always had that effect on me. The past four years were that way.

"Did you have a date for homecoming?" The words escaped his lips, taking me by surprise.

I stared at him. This can't be real. "I thought you were going with your girlfriend?"

"We got into a fight, so I decided I would ask you. What do you say?" He gave me a toothy grin. God, his teeth were perfect. Focus, Maggie.

"Uh..." My friends elbowed me. "Yes."

"Great." He started to walk away, then stopped and turned. "But we must meet there. Got things to take care of, you know?"

"Yeah." I beamed.

He shot me a smile and walked away.

I turned to my friends. "Oh, my God!" I squealed, as did they. We jumped up and down with excitement. I was ecstatic about being asked to Homecoming by Bryson Tilson. My crush of four years asked me to Homecoming. I couldn't wait.

While I had been left in my dreamlike state, Bryson met up with Tiffany.

"Did she buy it?" Tiffany asked him.

"Of course. This was way too easy. Now we wait for Maggie to show up. The Gray brothers want to humiliate me. Then I'll humiliate her. Plus, it's creepy how she stares at me."

"No, kidding."

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, my dream guy wasn't dreamy. But like any girl who has a major crush on someone, you overlook the bad things about someone and focus on the good. It would be a lesson I would learn the hard way.

The girls and I went shopping to find a dress and shoes, along with all the other items that go with Homecoming. I wanted to look extra special for Bryson and found a navy blue chiffon knee-length dress, along with a pair of navy heels. I couldn't wait to wear it.

We went back to the Gray house and hung out in my room while breaking in my shoes. I didn't need blisters on Homecoming. As I walked around in my shoes, Nixon walked by and spotted us inside.

He stopped and popped his head inside."Ladies."

"Hey, Nixon," they said.

He strolled inside. "Nice shoes."

I turned my foot slightly. "Yeah, I'm hoping they get broken in before Saturday, or my feet will hurt."

"That would suck," he said, trying to act cool in front of Kat.

I knew he liked Kat. As much as I disliked Nixon for what he did, I took pity on him for once. "So, Kat, have you found a date for homecoming yet?" I asked her.

She gave me a what are you talking about look. I gave her a go with it nod.

"Oh, um, nope, no date yet. I thought I would go alone." She picked up what I was throwing down.

"That's a shame because Nixon doesn't have a date either." I walked over and draped my arm around him. He shot me a look. Yeah, if looks could kill, I would be dead.

"Oh?" She feigned surprise. "So, if Nixon doesn't have a date and I don't have a date, we could have no dates together. Then we wouldn't have to dance alone at least. But whatever," she said.

I nudged Nixon, who cleared his throat. "Yeah, we could go together, you know, because of the dancing."

"Good."

"Fine."

"Great." She tapped her fingers on her knee.

"Uh, well, I'm going to go. What was that, Ma? Do you need my help? Be right there!" He left the room.

We couldn't help but laugh.

"Thanks a lot, Maggie," she said.

"What? I don't know what you mean."

"Nothing like putting the poor boy on the spot." She smirked.

"Oh, come on. You have liked Nixon forever. And I know that he likes you. If I can get a chance with Bryson, then you can get a chance with Nixon."

"I guess you're right." She smiled.

"Well, you two have dates, and here I am, low man on the totem pole," Marcy said.

"Marcy, I thought Keith was taking you?" Kat asked.

"You mean that no good, dirty dog, cheating, slimy asshole?"

"Wow, tell us how you feel," I said.

"Never mention that name again."

I guess Keith was out. Cheating on one's girlfriend will do that.

Then an idea hit me. I walked over to the doorway. "Oh, boys! Can you come here for a second?"

"Maggie, what are you doing?" Marcy spoke through gritted teeth.

"You'll see."

Noah and Nathan walked in a few minutes later. "What?" Nathan asked.

"My friend over here," I pointed to Marcy, "needs a date for homecoming."

"Yeah, so?"

"Which one of you would like to take her?"

"I'm out," Nathan said, not giving it a second thought.

"I'll take her," Noah said.

"What?"

"Dude, she's hot! Why wouldn't I take her?"

"Because I don't have a date."

"Who cares? You said no, and I said yes. It's your loss."

Then the demon spawn argued as I shook my head.

"Hey!" I interrupted their bitch fest. "Marcy has a twin who Nathan has a thing for."

"No, I don't," he blurted.

"Shut up. You do, too. Marcy, call your sister and put her on speaker."

Marcy shrugged, pulled out her phone, and dialed her sister.

Her sister picked up after the second ring. Hello?

"Mace, it's me," Marcy said.

I know who it is, a dumbass. I have called ID. What do you want?

"How would you like to go to homecoming with Nathan Gray?"

That fool? You can't be serious? Macey scoffed.

"Yes, that fool, and yes, I am serious. What do you say?"

The other end went quiet as we waited for her response.

Well, he is hot, so I guess I can overlook his foolishness for a night. Yeah, sure why? It's not like I have anything better to do.

"Great." She hung up.

We looked at Nathan, who was turning three shades of red. Did I mention Marcy and Macey are twins? Oops, I forgot that little tidbit.

It's all settled. All of us had a date for Homecoming, even Nolan. He had already asked a girl. Because he was a little horn dog anyway and let no grass grow under his feet.

I couldn't wait. This Homecoming would be one that none of us would forget. The only problem was it would be worse for me than anyone, and I didn't even know it.
