3 Weeks Late

Charlotte's POV

Bathing suit. Check. Sunscreen. Check. Sunglasses. Check. Water bottle. Check. Okay. I think that's all. I was pretty late so I need to go. We were supposed to all be there by 1:20, it was 1:32 and I still hadn't left the house. Oh, I should probably take a hair tie. Just in case I need to tie my hair up.

"Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" I shout as I walked out the door.

"Bye sweetie! Have fun!" I heard them say from inside of the house.

As soon as I got outside, I saw Ray's car. I hopped in and placed my beach bag on my lap.

"Hey hey guys." I said

"Hey Char." "Hey Charlotte." They all said in union.

"Are you guys ready?!?!" Ray said excitedly.

"Heck yeah!" Jasper said.

"Duh." Henry said

"Yep!" I said.

"Okay! Then let's go!!" Ray replied. "Schowz! Hand me those sunglasses."

"Here are your sunglasses, boss!" Schowz said.

"Great, everyone's ready, Ray? Let's go." Henry said.

"Hey, don't tell me when to go." Ray told Henry. "Let's go."

"Oh I'm so going to beat you all at volleyball!" I heard Jasper say.

"No I'm going to beat you all at volleyball!" Ray said.

"Wait, aren't you guys on the same team?" I asked them.

"Oh yeah." Ray corrected himself. "Whoops."

** And so the volleyball game began and Ray and Jasper won. Surprisingly. 😂 **

I went to the spot where we had all left our bags and pulled out my wallet. I was planning on buying a burger so I only needed $5.00.

"Hey I'm back." I told the guys.

"Great! Charlotte you go with Henry to the Burger Shack and the rest of us will go get pizza." Ray said.

"Kay, c'mon Henry."

"Coming!" Henry yelled as I had already left.

There were so many options but I think I was going to get a regular burger without any pickels, obviously. I'm sure Henry would probably get the same thing, considering we both hated pickles.

"Hi, yeah can I get number 9." I told the guy working the cash register.

"Make that two number 9's." Henry said.

"Okay, anything else?" She asked us.

"Uh, to medium sodas. That'll be all."

"Okay, it'll be $9.99." He said giving us the receipt.

"Uh, I'll pay." Henry said reaching in his back pocket.

"Here, I have the money for my burger." I said handing him the $5.00 bill.

"No it's fine, I got it. Save it for later. We can buy an ice cream with it." He insisted.

"Oh, okay." I agreed. "I'm gonna go find us a table."

"Okay, I'll meet you there."

** Henry's POV **

"I wonder what's taking the others so long?" I heard Charlotte say.

"There's probably a really long line." I told her as I sat down. "People do love pizza."

"Yeah," she chuckled. "I guess."

I have to admit, she looked at adorable. And I loved when she chuckled at my "jokes". And it was perfect how the sun was hitting her right now. It made her beautiful dark skin glow. Flawless. Suddenly, I felt her arm touch my arm making me notice that I must've moved closer to her without even realizing it. I looked at her and she looked right back at me. Her eyes were shinning bright. They looked so loving and tender.

"What?" She smiled.

I just kept on staring at her gorgeous eyes. "Nothing. It's just..."

"What?!" she said in like a soft scream but chuckle at the same time.

"You look really pretty." I finally had the gut to say.

"Oh," she said, breaking the eye contact. "Uh, thanks." She smiled.

"Aha!! I knew we couldn't leave you two alone!" Ray shouted from across a couple a tables.

"Were you guys kissing?!" Jasper asked. "Cause if so, I wanna see!"

"Wha- No!! We weren't kissing!" Charlotte said.

"Yeah, and even if we were, why would we show you?" I said just so that they would believe it.

"Mhm," Ray said. "Anyways, sorry we took so long. But someone couldn't make up his mind." He said looking at Schowz.

"I'm sorry but I didn't know what to get."

"It's pizza, there's only so many choices!" Ray said agitated.

We all laughed and began to eat our food.
