《The best mistake I ever made》Chapter 40

Okay great I'm screwed. Like a few days ago I heard one of the walldogs (she was a girl) saying that if you don't listen to vandel or obey him, you could get hurt, mentally, emotionally and physically.
"But I can't!" I scream in frustration.
But I realized I did have one way out.
"Nope! I'm not going to do it!" I say out loud.
And that was to either call Ray or Henry. Charlotte would scold me saying I shouldn't have done it in the first place. And the leave me here as a punishment. Seriously Charlotte is like my second mom. Or first since the whole...never mind.
I pick up my phone from my bed and see about 50 messages asking where I was if I was okay, or if I need any help.
They were all from Henry. Ooh surprise!
I knew it was now or never. But I was scared. Maybe vandel could track my call?! But I couldn't step back now. I dialed his number.
It rang.
He picked up.
"Hello?"
"Madison?!" He yelled into the phone.
*henry*
I guess a few weeks passed and there was no sign of vandel. We were supposed to go the night we found out the location but Ray said it's too early and maybe she adjusted to the style there and if she needed us she would have called a long time ago. Plus he heard some plan against us. He didn't want me to get killed.
I sigh at the thought of that.
I walk towards junk n stuff and open the door. I see gooch, I greet him and his plant and go down the elevator. I scream my normal scream and the door opens.
"Hey Ray. What's shaken?" I ask him.

"Nothin much. Still wondering about Madison." He says turning around to his computer desk to check a criminals picture.
"Me too." I mutter.
"Did you just hear what I heard Ray?" Someone says Behind me in a teasing voice.
Charlotte
"Hey char!" I turn around an hug her.
"Nice to meet you to hen." She says.
"Okay so any criminals we need to catch?" Charlotte asks Ray.
"Nah." He shakes his head.
My phone suddenly starts to ring.
"Ahh let me guess it must be your sister?" Charlotte laughs.
I take out my phone and stood there in shock.
"Jasper?" Ray asks.
"Madsion." I gulp.
"Pick it up, pick it up!" Ray yells.
I slowly pick it up.
"Hello?" I hear the other voice say.
"MADDIE!" I yell.
"PUT IT ON SPEAKER!" Ray yelled.
I did just that.
"Hello hello? Henry it's me! I'm alive and stuff." She says.
"Yes yes! I can hear you! Where are you? What are you doing? Are you okay?" I fire 20 questions at her.
"Settle down." She laughs.
She tells me about getting kidnapped to getting accepted to be a walldog.
"But you can't!" I tell her.
"That's why i need you! Get here before 6:00 pm today. Or else I can't turn back." She says.
"We'll be there." I assure her.
"Okay hurry cause I heard vandel-" and the line cuts.
"Why did the line cut?" I asked out loud.
"Maybe she had to go?" Charlotte suggested.
"Okay so Ray what do we do?" I ask him.
"Just what she said. Get there before 6. So like around 5:50 maybe?" He said.
"I don't know man. I don't think she'd just cut, the line I mean." I say.

"She probably had to get ready. Okay? She'll be fine hen." She softly pushes my arm.
I laugh.
She laughs her cute laugh and then laughs even more.
"Shouldn't we get ready for this amazing dinner and walldog ceremony?" Ray teases.
"Yeah. And I have a feeling it's gonna be the best." I grin.
*maddie*
I turn around and see vandel standing right there.
"Who are you talking to?" He asked me.
"No one." I say.
"Stop lying." He comes closer to me.
"I said no one!" I stomp my foot on the floor.
"Don't give me an attitude missy." He grabs my arm.
I push away.
"It was just my friend." I say.
"Your friend? Or Ray?" He asked.
"It was definitely not Ray!" I say.
He picks up my phone from the bed and laughs.
"What?" I ask.
"And you think Henry hart isnt going talking to Ray." He chuckles.
"What do you mean?" I ask him.
"I know who Henry hart is Madison. It's kid danger. And if you think your sneaker, I'm 10 times faster than that." He smirks at me.
"I don't care you can't kill them!" I blurt out.
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"I I heard your little plan outside and I don't want to say anything, but it's pretty stupid because they don't even know where I am!" I say.
"And you think that it's OK to talk Henry? Please I'm not stupid you probably already told him where you are!" He says.
"Don't worry little one, it doesn't really matter anyway. There going to come here to get you back and soon before they even see you they'll be dead. But that's okay too, you see you'll be an official walldog by then." He chuckles.
"Don't even dare!" I say pointing at him.
"Ah pointing is not polite." He grabs my phone out of my hand.
"Excuse me?" I say.
And then he drops it smashing it into pieces.
"What the hell!" I yell.
"Be ready in 10 minutes, dear." And then he leaves.
I just hope Henrys here just in time
*henry*
"I think it's better if we leave now Ray." I tell him.
It was about 5 o'clock. Time was going by slow waiting for Madison to call us again.
"Why? She hasn't called." He says.
"Yeah but I have a feeling something bags going to happen if we done get there fast." I tell him.
"Yeah maybe we should." He thinks.
"Umm I think so too. Cause Madison would have at least texted you something." Charlotte pipes up.
"Really?" I ask.
"Ya think?" She shots back.
"Ok maybe Ray I think-" he stops me.
"Guys I can't track Madison's phone anymore." He stands up.
"WHAT?!" I yell.

[Schedule is currently a bit borked due to poor health, looking to finish up the first section of this book by the end of the year then back to a regular schedule in January] This is a kitchen sink space opera. It originated off me lamenting the lack of witches in space and has spiraled out of control from there.
