As for the rest of the morning and till noon we sat a played video games or watched the walking Orange on neflix.

I guess Ray had gotten mad, cause we didn't go anything all day so he made us go to Henrys house.

To be honest I loved henrys house. It's always filled with laugher or screaming from piper.Sometimes I wish that was like in the man cave.

But it can't.

Ray always is working and working. But he always gave me time like a father. But not enough.I was more of the independent woman.

The woman that took shit from no one.

But sometimes, just sometimes I wanted to be loved.

Perhaps that's exactly why i started dating a lot of guys in my school. I still haven't found the 'one' yet. Charlotte always tells me 'love is somewhere you haven't quite looked yet' but I declined that.

Because you see one time in 6th grade this happened,

I walked to school with Charlotte and jasper. I always did. So would Henry but today he didn't. Maybe because it was the last day of school. Ahead I see my friends Debbie and Chole.

"Hey guys!" I squeal and hug them.

"Hey!" Debbie smiles.

Chole rolls her eyes.

"What's wrong with you?" I ask.

"Nothing!" She snaps.

"Okay sheesh! I was just asking!" I say.

Behind Debbie I see Henry blushing as he was talking to Brian.

"Hey Henry!" I yell so he can hear me.

"Yeah coming maddie!" He yells back and he comes over to us.

I always had a little crush on fetus Henry. He was adorable. Unlike me he was the sweetest guy a girl could ask for. But I? I was a badass from the beginning. I hated guys until the hormones kicked in and purbety. But I would shake the feeling off. So when I did start to like a guy I would usually just kick them in their nuts.

Henry was a whole different person. I could never hurt him. But I didn't know he could hurt me. Back in 3rd grade Charlotte blurt out I liked Henry. We didn't get awkward or anything but we would always blush when we would see each other. So I thought he like me.

So I decided to tell him I liked him. Thinking he would say the same thing.

I was wrong. Dead wrong.

He came over to me with the biggest smile.

"Guess what?" He asked.

"What?!" I asked excitedly.

"I'm dating Debbie!"

I remember I was so mad at him I grabbed Brian his best friend at the time and kissed him.

I shake that thought out of my head.

"Maddie come on!" I hear a faint voice.

"Huh?" I turn around to see Charlotte and Henry going inside the house.

"Yeah coming!" I yell. I quickly run inside the house.

I walk inside his house and sit on the sofa.

"Yo char wanna play?" He asks Charlotte to play a game.

"Sure hen. Maddie?" She turns to face me.

"Nah, I don't feel like it." I sigh.

"You seem a little off today." She asks.

"Well like I ran away this morning?" I giggle.

"True..." Char laughs.

"CHARLOTTE STOP TALKING!" Henry yelled.

"Why should she?" I ask.

"Cause I'm losing so shut up!" His eyes glued to the tv the whole time.

"Dang boy." I say.

"More like damn boiiiii!" Charlotte says and I laugh.

My phone was in my hand. I hear a sudden vibrating sound. I look down and see a text from Ray.

Ray: u coming back, or staying?

What do u mean by stay?

Maddie: what do u mean?

Ray: I presume u would stay with Henry your boyfriend

Ewwwwww Ray! How could he stay that.

I saw Charlottes shadow peering over.

"Ooh someone's got a boyfriend!" She smirks and then laughs.

Henry sets his remote controller down.

"Who?" He asks.

"According to Ray, you." She says grabbing my phone.

"Hey! Give it back!" I try grabbing it from her hand.

"Ooh Henry with a heart emoji?"

"Oh shut up!" I say.

Henry starts blushing.

GOD DAMMIT CHARLOTTE

"It's because his last name is HART!" I explain.

"Okay maddie I'll leave it to that." She gives back my phone.

I give her a dead stare.

"I gotta..go to the bathroom. So bye!" Char rushes our leaving me and Henry alone.

"So.." I start.

"So?" He was still a little red.

"You must be thinking why I have a heart emoji by your name." I say.

"No, not really." He tells me.

"Then what?" I ask.

"I was thinking to tell you something." He says.

What. Is. He. Gonna. Tell. Me.

"And that is?" I ask nervously.

"Who should I date. Chole or bianca? Debbie? Maybe that one girl Brianna from math class?" He mumbles on his whole list of girls.

And now I remember why I hate Henry

"OH JUST SHUT YOUR FACE!" I yell.

He looks at mr scared.

"All you do is talk about your STUIPD girlfriends that I don't care about!" I scream.

I saw him look away.

"Oh don't you look away Mr. Hart!" I taunt him.

"Why do you care?" He asks.

I remember something he said to me a long time ago.

"Look Henry, I'm sorry. I just was really frustrated and-" he cuts me off.

"Hey I was pretty worried this morning too! So don't think your the only one!" He chuckles.

I smile.

"Hey kids in home. Hey maddie!" Mrs. Hart walks in.

"Hey!" I wave.

"Hi mom. You look worried. What's wrong?" He asked.

"Your dad had to go out of town so dropped him off at the airport while I was leaving a man harassed me!" She said slumping down on a chair.

"OH MY GOD! Mrs. Hart! Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm okay maddie it's just that I'm a little scared and he TOOK MY PURSE!" She kinda screamed that last part.

"What should we do?" I ask Henry.

"Man cave." He whispered in my ears.

I felt tingly.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door.

"And where do you think your going?" Mrs. Hart asked Henry.

"Uhh, Madison needs help with her new...dog. So uh bye!" He waved to his mom and Charlotte and just as he was about to walk out the door he bumps into

Jasper

"Hey buddy wass up?" Jasper asked.

"Uh I have to go jasp. But chars here. Bye!" He tugs my arm and we run to junk n stuff.

We say a quick 'hi' to gooch and run inside the elevator.

"Wait. Why are we going so fast?" I ask Henry.

He thinks for a minute.

"I actually have no idea!" He chuckles.

I press the button on the elevator, and the it shoots down about 90 miles per hour and we hit the floor.

Henry was scrambled across the elevator floor while I was standing looking at my nails.

"Maddie? Henry? What brings um, you two here together?" Ray asked.

"Well number one. I'm not dating Henry. And two Mrs. Hart's purse was stolen while she was getting harassed. So I came here to file a report." I explain.

"Oh my god! Is she okay? Is she OKAY?!" Ray shook Henry ferociously.

"Yes Ray. She's fine." Henry rolled his eyes.

We hear the elevator drop and gooch comes down.

"Hey gooch!" Henry says.

"Hello Henry." He nods.

"GOOCH HENRYS MOM IS NOT OKAY!" He yells.

"Stop acting like my little sister Ray!" Henry sighs.

"I'm not gonna stop!" He says walking around in circles.

"I bet henrys dad will take care of it." Gooch looks at Ray funny.

"Actually henrys father isn't home. He went on a business trip." I say.

OKAY THATS IT IM COMING TO YOUR HOUSE!" Ray pops a bubble and soon was in his captain man suit.

"Wait. WHAT?" Henry yells.

Unfortunately Ray manages to get to henrys house without zapping Henry to 'sleep'.

I walk in with my hand on my head and Henry rushing to close the door before 'captain man' walked in.

"Honey! Your back! How's your er, dog maddie?" Mrs. Hart asked me.

"It's fine." I say.

"Henry! MY PHONE JUST DIED!" I hear piper yell.

"So?!" He yells back.

"Get your butt up here and fix it!" I giggle as Henry doesn't budge from the door.

"Henry is there something your hiding-"

The door opens and Henry gets knocked over.

"CAPTAIN MAN?" Mrs. Hart yelled.

"That's right citizen! And I'm here to protect you from harm!"
