《Fallen Miracles》Reunited- Chapter twelve

"Sho, stop fiddling, would you?! Everything's going to be fine, jeez if anything I should be the one shaking. I'm about to meet your freaking parents." Kageyama said, taking one of my shaking hands in his.
It was currently the evening of our third day of training camp and Kageyama and I were on our way to meet up with my parents. After the conversation I had with Aunt Kanna the other night she called up Takeda telling him some story about some "urgent family business" that involved Kaygeyama and I which needed our immediate attention. I can just see how dramatic she would have been about it too. Poor Takeda was scared to the core when he came to tell us this morning.
"Yama, I haven't spoken to them or my little sister in almost 3 years," I sighed looking up at the darkening sky, "so them inviting me... I- I just don't know if I should be excited or nervous, I mean there are so many what ifs. What if they actually don't wanna see me, what if they don't like who i've become. What if w-what if," I stammered. Suddenly I felt myself being pulled back, a strong pair of familiar arms, my face colliding into the tallers chest.
"There's no time to think about the what ifs Sho. To move on and work towards the future you need to accept your past. They're your family. They love you and you love them. They have definitely missed you so stop beating yourself up over what happened three years ago please. This is your present right here right now with me and the team by your side, you can overcome anything ok? Remember you gotta make it past the summit."
"You should be this inspirational all the time," I chuckled, retracting from the hug to meet the dark blue eyes above me.
"Ugh please. This is a once in a lifetime event and you better not go blabbing things around to Tsukishima. I'm only ever going to say stuff like that for you," Kageyama huffed, averting his scowl from my gaze, making me let a sly giggle slip from my lips.

"Thank you Tobio," I whispered "What would I do without you?"
"Hmm well I guess we'll never know, now will we." He smirked as he took hold of my hand so we could continue walking.
Walking in my old neighbourhood was surprisingly peaceful. Cherry blossoms were gracefully falling from the trees above us while groups of children ran past laughing and smiling among themselves. Old memories of my days at Teiko came flooding back but surprisingly they were only the good ones. I saw a 13 year old me sitting on this very street corner surrounded by my team all with an ice block in hand smiling and laughing without a care in the world making my heart swell. At that moment I realised I missed them, I missed everyone. All this time I pushed them all away, they were my friends and I pushed them all away. Gah I'm such an idiot. Maybe it's a good thing I'm back in Tokyo maybe... maybe Kageyama is right, facing my problems will help me grow and reach the summit. I'm going to make amends, starting with my parents.
Finally I stopped outside an all to blue house with its familiar traditional features. The house where I used to grow up in. I exhaled deeply in an attempt to rid myself of all the nerves I could feel building up in my stomach before walking up the path, Kageyama right by my side. I hesitated slightly but quickly knocked on the door, stepping back slightly to loop my arm through Kageyama's.
"You ready?" he asked, planting a quick kiss on my temple. I nodded slightly. I could hear loud footsteps resonating from inside the house and almost as suddenly as they appeared the door swung open to reveal a girl who was no taller than 5'0 ft who was munching on a carrot. Her orange hair was now longer than I remembered reaching down just past her shoulders. She carried herself with confidence and assertiveness as always.
That's my little sister! Once a bad bitch bitch always a bad bitch! I thought beaming when I saw her bored face light up causing her to drop her snack.

"N-no way.... Shoyo?" Natsu stuttered.
"The one and only," I laughed. This reaction is priceless! "What are you just gonna stand there looking like a deer caught in headlights?" I said, holding out my arms welcoming her in for a hug. Natsu seemingly snapped out of her trance and launched herself into my arms squeezing me tightly. When she pulled away there were slight tears in the corner of her eyes which I wiped away with my thumb.
"You've gotten so big!" I exclaimed, holding her shoulders making her scoff.
"Well I wish I could say the same for you but you really haven't grown since I last saw you. Actually you look exactly the same hasn't anyone ever told you to run a comb through that hair of yours?" She replied, folding her arms, a proud smirk plastered on her face.
"What are you, my mother?" I retorted, turning my head up to look at Tobio who was also smirking at me as if to say she's right.
These two are gonna get along just fine I thought to myself. The thought alone was enough to make me roll my eyes.
"I hope that eye roll wasn't meant for me," A short figure hummed stepping through the door with an excited gleam in her eyes.
"Hi Mom," I smiled, pulling both her and Natsu into another tight hug, laughter filling the air making the atmosphere feel instantly lighter.
Once all the tears and laughter had died down, all attention turned to the raven-haired boy who stood next to me.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry I let my excitement get the better of me! Shoyo, why don't you introduce your friend to your sister and I?" My Mom asked, smiling softly in Kageyama's direction.
"Oh right,"I looked up to Kageyama who gave me a reassuring nod. "Uh Natsu, Mom this is my boyfriend Tobio Kageyama we play on the same volleyball team obviously or else he wouldn't be here." I explained taking his hand in mine and squeezing it tightly.
"It's really nice to meet you Mrs Hinata and Natsu," Kageyama started, bowing as he spoke to them.
"Oh enough of the formalities come here," My Mom exclaimed, pulling Kageyama into a tight hug which he returned. "It's very nice to meet you, Tobio and please call me Masami! I trust my son has been treating you well," She said, turning to me with a stern look.
" I'm very lucky to have him, Masami-san. He's perfect in every way possible and I couldn't ask for more."
I felt a light jab into the side of my ribs to find Natsu leaning up to whisper in my ear.
"My dear brother, where did you find such a catch? He's good looking and understands my humor. Oooo I feel a brother's boyfriend and sister alliance forming," she chuckled, rubbing her palms together like a witch who's plotting some evil deed before marching up to Kageyama as if to inspect him.
"Hmmm you passed the mom test so that's some automatic ticks in the good books. Just know if you ever and I mean ever hurt my brother I swear to god I will-"
"OKAY! Okay Natsu thank you," I hissed, pulling her away by her shoulders "We don't need to scare my boyfriend away now thank you." Making everyone on the porch giggle.
"Why don't you come inside, your father is waiting for us in the dining room. Come on right this way," Mom instructed. We quickly removed our shoes before being ushered towards the dining room.
As we stepped into the room I spotted an all too familiar sight I had not seen in a while. Over in the kitchen was my dad, with his trusty spatula and apron cooking up a storm. Fragrant smells of all my favourite dishes hit my nose making my mouth drool instantly. My mom cleared her throat alerting dad of our presence. His head instantly snapped up, eye softening as soon as he saw me.
"Shoyo, I'm glad you came, we missed you, we all missed you," He said before pulling me into a hug just as the other two had done previously. "I'm so glad our family is reunited, we have so much news to tell you."
"Yeah me too dad, me too"

8 153A Merchants Tale
Legends rise. Country’s fall. Empires wage war. But what supports these great powers, allowing them to function as a single organism. Is it the common man, Farmers and Millers forming the backbone of the land? The Soldiers and Guards keeping public order? The Wives and Widows supporting from the side-lines? The Nobles from their seats of power? Or the elusive Sorcerers who wield power untold? And what maggots crawl in this great creature, all trying to get a piece of its slowly decaying flesh. The gangs of the Underworld hidden in the shadows? The Bandits and Deserters hiding at the edges, ready to pounce on any weakness? Witches and Warlocks working their dark art? Or other Nations clawing at their neighbour’s, salivating over the riches they stand to gain from another’s demise. There is one group that belongs to neither group. They thrive on others misfortune and bring with them salvation and destruction in equal measure. They can raise a kingdom up or tear it down screaming and kicking. These are the merchants, the lifeblood of kingdoms, because what is the one thing above all else men crave. Is it Love? Power? Destruction? All these things can be acquired with one simple thing. Wealth. Wealth is the true power behind the world. Wealth can buy army’s, strangle kingdoms, and turn even the most devout man from his faith. Merchants come in many forms, shapes and sized, some gaudy, bleeding the people for all their worth, some tricky, preferring to make contracts and debts to trap men. And some desperate, doing all they can to sell even the most worthless of junk. This is a story of one merchant who goes against all a merchant stands for. He works not for profit but for some unseen goal, a prophesy aeons old. He comes and goes like a ghost, bringing with him hope and victory. All pray for his arrival to spare them from despair. But what about when he doesn’t show? What about the people he doesn’t save? For this man is no angel, no saint sent to save the masses. His goal was never to deliver hope. It merely isn’t time for their destruction yet. For nothing is eternal. And all things must end. But what comes after? Quick disclaimer in response to the review I got, this is my first story and somewhat of an experiment for me, hopefully my writing will get better the more I practice. Thanks for any helpful advice :)
8 65Tales of Erets Book One: The Crusade of Stone and Stars

Arx teeters on the brink of chaos, and all while the nearby kingdom of Nihilus threatens Arx with holy war.The Crusade of Stone and Stars is a cautionary tale about two kinds of leaders: the controlling and the irresponsible. Because of the actions of these two rulers, strife will befall both Arx and Nihilus, as well as upon those they love.
8 77Naga rising (Final version)
Eshanai used to think that her life was pretty good, that the elders of her tribe of Naga sisters had their best interests at heart. But one suspiciously regular disaster after another sort of makes you question things. So when Eshanai decides to go out on the island to do the unthinkable, break some rules, and nothing terrible happens to her like the elders said it would, her questions start to multiply. What else could the elders be wrong about? Were the Naga really chosen by the spirits? And could there be other people out there, beyond their island? Follow Eshanai and some of her sisters as she tries to find a way to leave the island and comes up with increasingly creative ways to get into a certain Oni's pants. Author's note: This is not a rewrite of my original Naga rising story. It's more of a reimagining, as it contains many of the same characters and settings but will have a completely different plot. Be advised that the two are not related to one another. This should not be seen as any form of sequel or prequel story. So I have caught up to my backlog, and at first, I thought I could release a chapter once a week. That turned out to be unrealistic as I am writing in my spare time, so periods of inaction might not be uncommon. Some of the tags might not come into effect until later on in the story.
