"Alright, that's 21-18 to Nekoma. Flying laps everybody!"
Groaning loudly, Karasuno made their way into a single file line waiting for the signal from our captain so we could start.
Today is the first official day of our two-week training camp here in Tokyo and I gotta say it's better than I imagined it'd be. Our schedule looks something like this. Games games games. Food food food more games more food then free time which I will spend training. Hopefully, I can get one of the aces here to give me some tips. In total, we have 6 a day meaning we play each team twice.
Although I may have been a basketball prodigy it's not so much like that with volleyball. Obviously, I can transfer my skills such as my speed and jumps but keep in mind volleyball is a completely different sport. Sure I was able to pick up basketball just like that sadly that's not the case here. When I play volleyball I have to concentrate extremely hard to make sure what I am doing in the game is correct, because of this I am not able to analyze the team in front of me, meaning that I cannot enter the zone. This makes me prone to making mistakes, and I make a lot of mistakes which Kageyama makes extremely clear to me.
Right now we have played the first set of our second game against Nekoma and clearly, things weren't going too well for us. For some reason, Kageyama and I aren't meshing well and I think it is getting to the rest of the team. I mean we haven't exactly like... won a game yet and let me tell you it is not sitting right with me. Like, come on I've been winning my whole life this is a whole new thing for me.
"It's ok guys, just don't let this get you all down. Remember we are trying to evolve and build on our skills here. All these teams have been playing together for a long time so moves just come easy to them. We are trying to broaden our arsenal here!" Coach yelled trying to assure us.
By the end of the second set, we were all exhausted, probably due to the insane humidity that has taken over Tokyo at the moment and the fact that none of our attacks had been working with the number of flying laps we had done added to that. Thank god it was our last game of the day.

"Ugh, my limbs... they feel like they're melting! Noya... Noya, am I melting?" Tanaka asked in a delirious state he slid face-first along the cool ground to where the coaches stood.
"I don't know bro... What about me?" Noya mumbled back. The idiotic moment to two was in the middle of ended suddenly when they saw a certain someone walk through the door.
"KIYOKO!!"
"Idiots," Tsukishima muttered as the rest of the team chuckled at the scene playing out in front of them.
"Hey, guys I'm going to go to the vending machine. I'll be back soon!" I yelled, slipping on my outdoor shoes heading over to retrieve my soda and some milk for Kags. The loud sound of squeaking shoes and balls bouncing coming from the other I passed.
Sounds like the other teams are hard at work there. I have to do my best!
I made my way around to the side of the gym where the vending machine was, choosing myself to go to orange soda and plain milk for Kageyama. Suddenly I felt something bump into the back of my leg. When I looked down I was expected to be met with a volleyball but much to my dismay I was met with none other than a basketball. My face twitched in confusion.
Why is there a basketball here when we're in the middle of a volleyball training camp? Just as I went to pick the ball up a girl with a clipboard came rushing out of the gym panicked.
"Hey sorry about that! Someone missed a shot and- H-h Hinata?! Is that you?!" The pink-haired girl exclaimed, clutching her clipboard tighter to her chest when she saw me.
"I- Momoi!" I cried in disbelief dropping the ball in my grasp.
There is no way that the girl standing in front of me is the same Satsuki Momoi who went to Teiko Middle school with me. There is absolutely no way. She's absolutely stunning now. Not that she wasn't before! She's always been pretty! But she has had a major glow-up. I wouldn't expect anything less from one of my best friends. Well I mean that is if we are still friends.
Satsuki Momoi, the former manager of the Teiko Middle school basketball team. Even though Momoi wasn't a player on the team she was one of our biggest assets. Momoi like me has been surrounded by basketball her entire life, therefore, giving her a wide knowledge about the sport. Momoi has the ability to analyze the opposition and foresee their move to a greater extent than I can making her the perfect spy and a very dangerous person to cross paths with at a Basketball tournament because once she relays her collected data to her team they will be able to see through all of your moves.

"Oh my god, Hinata!" She screamed, discarding her clipboard on the ground rushing towards me and enveloping me in a tight hug which I instantly returned, laughing as we started spinning in circles.
"Hinata! I missed you so much, why didn't you return any of my calls!" She whined, pulling away from the hug slapping me lightly on the shoulder.
"Ah sorry about that. I would have but my parents got me a new phone when I moved with a different number and everything... " I explained in a low voice averting my eyes from her intense gaze. Momoi smiled sympathetically, placing her hand on my shoulder.
"Hinata you do know no one is mad at you for what happened right..? Well Akashi might still be mad but you know how he is, everyone else considers it water under the bridge especially Kise. He really wanted to see you again, you know and now look you're here! Wait, why are you here? And why at Fukurodani of all places? Do you go here now!? You should-" She blabbered, bombarding me with multiple questions at once.
"Huh oh no no I'm still with my Aunt in Miyagi. I haven't even seen my parents yet. I'm here for a volleyball training camp with my school. I was just grabbing me and my boyfriend a drink," I clarified, shaking the drinks in my hands, "Why are you here?" This made the girl pause mid-sentence to tilt her head looking at me as if I had gone mad.
"Oh, the boys have a practice match against the Fukurodani boys. But Volleyball huh? You play Volleyball? Now that's so cool!"
"Uh yeah. I'm not as good at it as I am with Basketball but I really like it and my team is amazing!" I said pride sewn through my voice as Momoi nodded in understanding.
"I'm really happy for you Hinata, I'm glad you're happier now. But now I expect to hear all the details about this little boyfriend of yours." A devilish smirk appeared on her face while I could feel mine being painted in a red blush. But before I could get another word out a somewhat familiar voice boomed from the gym making the both of us jump."
"Satsuki! Hurry up, we need that ball!"
"Ah right sorry! ! I'll be right there!" Momoi called, racing to pick up her clipboard and the ball that had rolled further away. I was about to say my farewells when Momoi latched her hand onto my wrist briskly dragging me towards the gym where her team's practice game was being held.
"W-what are you doing?!" I choked.
"Just follow me ok?"
Is this a kidnapping? Who knows honestly but I can never win when it comes to her... Fine, I may as well just go with her.
I let out a prolonged fine while being pulled through the door that entered into a gym that was identical to the one our training camp was being held in.
"Finally Momoi! What took you so long? And- What who is that?" Some guy with glasses grumbled.
Gah he reminds me of Tsukishima... hmmm Tsukishima senior! I thought about looking anywhere but the 6ft giants that were gathering around Momoi and me.
"Aomine-kun look who I found," Momoi said in a sing-song voice.
Huh, sounds like Aomines here... AHOMINE uh I mean AOMINES HERE! I internally screamed. Great, my incognito trip to Tokyo is going to absolute shit.
"Huh! Satsuki this better be worthwhile" A deep voice yawned in an obviously bored tone that I didn't recognize. Usually, Aomine was a little more upbeat and happy like me.
Maybe he's just tired...
A tall figure loomed over me obviously looking down on me. I looked up and was met with those dark blue eyes and hair that looked so familiar yet so foreign at the same time. All I could see was darkness, no light.
"Shoyo?"
What happened to you Aomine?

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly.
