《Fallen Miracles》Training camp- Chapter one

Hinata POV
"Nice shot Hinata!"
"Nice Kill!"
"Shoyo, that was awesome!" My friends cried watching the ball make an impact on the ground. After school training at Karasuno were treated like real games, well mostly by me anyway. After our loss against Seijoh in the Prelims it gave me the motivation I needed to work hard. I mean I've only ever lost 3 times in my entire high school and middle school career. But I'm seriously starting to feel like my old self again.
My boyfriend, Kageyama, has definitely been a big part of helping me find myself again. Although he doesn't know it. Actually, he doesn't know anything about my past. I honestly think he thinks I've grown up here all my life and that my Aunt is my mom. Of course, I feel bad that I haven't told him but honestly, I hope I never have to talk about it. Not that I don't trust him, forgetting is just a lot easier for me.
"Alright everyone gather round!" Coach Ukai called, motioning for everyone to circle up around him and Takeda. I quickly made my way over to where they were standing claiming my spot in the very middle of the group.
"Ok now that everyone is listening. Specs over here has an announcement and Hinata I think you'll be excited," he said smiling at me.
huh? wonder what it is
"So as you all know the Miyagi Prefectural Qualifiers are coming up in a month and there you will probably be facing some of the toughest teams in our region. The training and preparation you all have been doing has been phenomenal and I applaud you for that. You are all starting to step up and it is a step in the right direction if you ask me"
Coach Ukai rolled his eyes. It was clear he was starting to get impatient.

"Specs get to the point."
"Right, right, sorry. As I was saying, because of your amazing performance against Seijoh at the Prelims we have been invited to a training camp with teams who have all attended nationals!"
"Nationals! Wow, that's so cool! When are they coming!" I cried, jumping up and down on Kageyama's shoulders, earning a harsh glare from him. I slowly backed away, shivering at the sight.
Gah! he may be my boyfriend but damn he can be really freaking scary sometimes
"I'm not finished yet, Hinata. As I was saying, all the other teams attending have been to nationals and since they invited us we will be travelling to them.In Tokyo!"
w-what?
As expected the rest of the team was ecstatic even Kageyama was trying his hardest not to let his cold hard exterior break.
"Ooooh those city boys won't know what's hit them once we're through with them!" Tanaka exclaimed, making Nishinoya grin widely while other second years and third years rolled their eyes.
"Tanaka don't say that you sound like a moron" Suga scolded before turning his attention to the two adults standing in front of the group " and wow Takeda and Coach Ukai thank you for this it really is amazing!"
The loud noises of the team's bickering and chatting was slowly being drowned out by the sound of my own thoughts.
Tokyo...why of all places. Do I really have to go back?Who knows what would happen if i bumped into one of them. Oh god mom and dad will probably wanna see me god damn my luck.
"Hinata. Hinata! Oi Hinata what gives, aren't you excited?" My best friend Yamagucci asked waving his hands over my eyes trying to see if I had fallen into some sort of trance.

"h-huh oh!" I stuttered before flashing everyone my signature smile. "Of course I'm excited! Tokyo sounds so cool! I'm gonna get to the summit and nobodys gonna get in my way!"
My announcement appeared to be the reaction the team was looking for because one by one smiles slowly started forming on everyone's faces. I am always able to hype everyone up. I guess it's just a talent of mine. Although always being the team's sunshine gets exhausting. I've branded myself as this energetic ball of sunshine that the team can rely on but sometimes there are times I wanna skip out and quit. But I feel like if I do that then I'm letting everyone down. Don't get me wrong I love this team and I have fun playing with them but there are so many things that I can't tell them about me that I wish I could.
"Alright everyone I know you're excited I think everyone needs to go home and rest. Everyone's parents have already signed the permission forms so don't worry about that. We leave on Monday so rest up! And not all nighters! Noya, Tanaka, I'm looking at you!" I let out a small chuckle. That's Dadchi, I mean Daichi! for you.
One by one everyone started leaving the gym. I made my way over to the bike rack to unlock my ride home. I wheeled my bike to the front gate of the school. I saw a familiar dark figure standing against the lamppost outside of the school.
My heart fluttered slightly seeing who it was.
he waited for me
Dropping my bike I ran towards Kageyama jumping up wrapping my legs around his torso and my arms around his neck while burying my face into the crook of his neck.
"Boke you dropped your bike." He said, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Mhm I know. Thank you for waiting"
"Well I wasn't gonna let you go home alone. It's already dark."
Removing my head from his neck I looked at his face. A light blush was brushed across his face, his crystal blue eyes avoiding mine.
cute
I smiled and gave him a peck on the cheek jumping down from his hold running back to retrieve my abandoned bike as we started our walk home.
The walk was silent however it was a comfortable silence until we arrived at my aunt's house.
"Hinata?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you ok?"
"Yea why wouldn't I be?"
"You just seemed off today and you know you didn't really seem too excited about the Training Camp at first.. I don't know I just are you ok with going cause if your not then-"
"Tobio" I laughed "I'm fine honestly I was just shocked. I promise if something was wrong you'd be the first person to know." I said hugging trying to sound as convincing as I could .
By the look on his face I think I gave him some peace of mind.
"Ok well I'll see you on Monday ok?" he said, pecking my lips.
"Yeah get home safe.I love you."
"Love you too."
I'll have to tell them. When I go back I just have to keep my presence on the down low. Hopefully they won't see me as I am now
A/N: Hey guyss sorry its takem me a while to update this story Ive been really busy wit school atm. Syche: The Dark Element
In a modern world where the four elements (no, not those elements; don't stop reading yet) are controlled by the select few born with the gift, seventeen-year-old Joshua Rasgard is horribly, painfully normal. And that’s not changing. No really. He survives by his wit and acute knowledge of how adventures should go, unlike his younger brother Kael who would rather disintegrate his problems to ash. Together, they're on a globe spanning treasure hunt that is about to take a dark turn. While hunting for clues, Joshua decides to rescue an ex-superpowered-assassin named Gianna. Doing so puts a target on all of their backs and thrusts them into a global conflict not unrelated to the treasure hunt. The one thing Joshua knows is that he is out of his element.

Shift (Ben 10+DCU Fanfiction)
Omnitrix+ DCU, what's not to like? The main character will not be Ben Tennyson, rather someone from our world who gains the Omnitrix Hello! This fanfiction Shift is what I wanted to do for an homage to what I thought were underrated pieces of media, Ben 10 and some DCU characters. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t add context to two of the major works that inspired Shift, Dial, and A Practical Guide to Evil. Dial is another ben 10 fanfiction, however that story takes place in the MCU, and with an adult that is already a grown-up at the beginning of the story. Dial, by my own accounts, is more superficially Like shift, even though the Omnitrix is a central device in both. My protagonist starts out around 18 years old, so is less serious and can build relationships with some of the junior justice league members, and then later on in the story meet the Justice League officially. The tone will be more light-hearted at the beginning of the story as teenagers are known to use sarcasm and jokes at each other’s expense. Furthermore, in Dial, the protagonist has a well-developed knowledge of the MCU which he uses to have knowledge on events and characters, that the character in Shift will not have. While the MC will have some knowledge of people's abilities, lesser-known characters and people's real identities will be not included as much, but the MC of Shift will have some knowledge. APGTE's influence is deeper than Dials'. The epigraphs at the beginning of every chapter are an example of that, a place for light-hearted jokes and worldbuilding that's not pure exposition, but I also want to incorporate narrative stories to Shift (heroes win more than lose, providence, etc) on a lighthearted scale. While the heroes of Shift will have to work to win against villains, the MC of Shift will be allowed limited precognition, through narratives tropes and archetypes as a trade-off of less knowledge of the DCU. For example, a villain a hero faces might monologue, but the MC will not instinctively know how to counter every villain they encounter. I also wanted to bring in more realism than usual superhero stories, ie: the MC cannot just walk and have a meeting with Batman or Superman, he would have to “work his way up” in terms of credibility and whatnot. The Aliens that show up in Shift I tried to make different than the ones in Dial, just to share the love for lesser-known characters. And to make it fairer for the villains of the DCU, the main character will not wantonly use if gain at all an Alien X or a ben 10 form of Kryptonians, just so the characters have to work a little bit for victory. I urge anyone reading to consider checking out both APGTE and Dial as they are both amazing works, and I hope you enjoy them. The beginning of how the MC enters the DCU will not be as important as him actually existing in that universe, so that is why a ton of time is not spent on that part of the story. Chapters will be around 2.5 thousand words and come out around every weekday.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
