A minivan pulled up right in front of them, a short haired woman got out of it and rushed to hug her three boys.

"Oh my babies! I missed you so much!" She gave each a kiss.

"Uhm, mom? This is Sadie, my girlfriend. Sadie, this is my mom." Chris said nervously. His mom gave the girl a smile and a polite handshake.

"It's very nice to meet you, ma'am."

"Please, call me Mary Lou." She offered a pleasant smile before going back to the car. "Get in!"

"I don't think she likes me very much." Sadie whispered to Chris once they were in the car. His back straightened.

"She does. Don't worry about it, okay?"

But she looks upset, Chris words did nothing to soothe her.

"Did you knew about Matt and Talia?" He asks her, trying to change the subject. She smiles, knowing his intentions.

"You mean the kiss?"

"Yes, what the fuck?"

"I know, right." She says in a soft voice. "I mean I knew Talia liked him, I just wasn't aware of the fact that Matt reciprocated those feelings."

"Matt likes her?" He furrows his brows.

"Oh, baby..." She tilted her head with pity.

Chris didn't heard what she said next. He nodded and mumbled when his brothers called his name. Sadie had never called him a pet name, the butterflies in his stomach almost made him throw up right then.
