Vince, Dash, and (Y/n) had been sitting in the cave for a while, and Dash and (Y/n) were watching Vince practice creating forcefields around the fire.

(Y/n) watched patiently, with an amazed look on her face. She always loved it when Vince used his powers, and he had also pushed his hair back which allowed her to see more of his face. It was like Vince was becoming more of himself and she found it slightly attractive.

Vince, of course, noticed that she was paying attention to him and was trying extra hard to create a solid forcefield to impress her.

"Well, not that this isn't fun, but I'm gonna go look around." Dash suddenly spoke picking up a stick from the fire as a makeshift torch.

"What do you think is going on here? You think we're on vacation or something?" Vince snapped, standing up and walking over to him. "Mom and Dad's lives could be in jeopardy. Or worse, their marriage."

"Their marriage?" Dash asked.

Vince nodded.

"So, the bad guys are trying to wreck Mom and Dad's marriage?"

"Oh forget it. You're so immature." Vince muttered.

"Okay, I'm gonna go look around." Dash turned to leave.

"Mom said to stay hidden."

"I'm not gonna leave the cave! Sheesh!" Dash rolled his eyes.

"Still, I don't know about-."

"You know, this gives you more alone him with you-know-who." Dash whispered to Vince.

Vince glanced over to (Y/n) then back at Dash.

"Promise you won't leave the cave?"

"Yup."

"Okay. Bye."

And with that, Dash walked farther into the cave and Vince walked back over and sat down next to (Y/n).

"Is he going to be okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah. He'll be fine." Vince promised.

...

Dash walked along the cave looking at all the walls when he noticed that the cave shifted from rock to metal.

There was a long metal tube that seemed to stretch for miles and Dash had stumbled onto it.

"Cool." He said, and his voice echoed through the metal tube.

"Cool!" He exclaimed louder, and his echo became louder as well.

Unbeknownst to him, Syndrome was preparing to fire a rocket out of the volcano and the fire from the blast had to come out somewhere.

Dash's smile turned to a frown when he saw the fire coming towards him.He used his super speed to run away.

...

Vince and (Y/n) were sitting awkwardly around the fire, each one trying to work up the courage to say something.

"I...um...I like that you pulled your hair back." (Y/n) said.

"Really? I thought it would look too weird."

"No. I like it. I can see your whole face now."

"Oh, thanks...I like your hair too. Makes you look pretty...uh, not that you would be ugly if your hair didn't look like that...um...I think you'd be beautiful no matter what your hair looked like...but I-I just meant..."

(Y/n) suddenly burst into giggles. "Thank you Vince. You're very sweet." She kissed his cheek.

Vince blushed and looked down at her and she looked up at him. The two slowly started to inch closer to each other and their eyelids began to close.

"Vi! (Y/n)!"

The two teenagers broke apart to see Dash speeding towards them, with a trail of fire following behind.

"What did you do?" Vince asked in shock.

Dash didn't answer. Instead he took Vince and (Y/n)'s hands and dragged them out of the cave and to the side as the fire spewed out of it.

Vince grabbed (Y/n)'s shoulders and looked her over.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" He asked.

She shook her head. "No, I'm alright."

The three kids looked up and saw a rocket launching out of the volcano.

The next morning, Vince opened his eyes and noticed (Y/n) was curled up into his chest and he had his arms around her. A huge grin spread across his face and he closed his eyes again and held her closer.

Dash also woke up and noticed that he was snuggling into his brother's shoulder. He immediately jumped up and shuddered in disgust.

Once he was up he took in the scenery of the jungle in awe.

"Identification please."

Dash jumped and saw a bird sitting on a branch.

"Hey!" He exclaimed.

He went over and shook Vince and (Y/n) awake.

"Hey, Vince! (Y/n)! Come here, look. It talks!"

(Y/n)'s eyes snapped open and she blushed heavily when she noticed she was cuddled up in Vince's arms.

They both stood up and Dash pointed at the bird.

"There. That one."

"Voice key incorrect." The bird said.

"Voice key?" (Y/n) asked in confusion.

"Voice key incorrect."

"Wait a second..."

Suddenly, the bird opened it's mouth a an alarm started blaring.

"What do we do?" Dash asked.

"Run!" (Y/n) said.

"Where are we going?"

"Away from here!"

The three kids ran through the jungle away from the alarm, when three guards in flying disks flew above them and stopped right in front of them.

The guards jumped out of the disks and pointed guns at them.

"Dash, remember what mom said." Vince whispered.

"What?"

"Hey, stop talking!"

"Dash, run!"

"What?"

"Run!"

"Oh yeah!" Dash sped off and the guards looked shocked.

"They're supers! Get the boy!"

While they were distracted, Vince turned invisible and grabbed (Y/n)'s hand, pulling her into the bushes to hide.

Two guards hopped into their disks and went after Dash. The other guard stayed and searched for Vince and (Y/n).

"Show yourselves!" He demanded.
