《BORING.》Chapter 15 YEET!?

The word 'Sure' was the last thing to leave his lips before Mikey raised the baseball bat. Anthony took a deep breath but just as the bat was swung, another was also swung.
Anthony quickly leaped back and called. "YEET!" As the bat swung towards his stomach. Mikey fell to his knees and onto the ground, one thump at a time.
Everyone was shocked. Just as Mikey swung towards Anthony, in a short time, Will broke off one of the branches hanging down from one of the nearby trees next to the fort. It was only in an arms reach so it wasn't that complicated but having the guts to hit Mikey in the back of the head with it, that's a different story.
"Thanks fham." Anthony finally exhaled.
Will still stood there frozen staring down at Mikey's collapsed body. He looked at the tip of the stick that he'd hit Mikey with, then back at the body.
"No blood." He whispered.
"What?" Izzy asked.
"No blood, there's no blood on the stick, or the body." Will couldn't even process what was about to happen.
"Oh my god, you're right!" Anthony got on all fours and inspected Mikey's body.
"Will how hard did you hit him?" He asked.
"I don't know! I just didn't want to see you get hurt so I just hit as hard as I could!" Will panicked.
"Wait! Anthony why did you dodge?!" Izzy started to yell.
Anthony didn't know what to say.
"I don't know." Anthony looked away from the others.
...
"What do you mean you don't know!?!" Will raised his voice even more.
"He was already pissed at you! He was probably gonna kill you for sure after pulling a stunt like that!" Will continued.

"I know, I know but that's not the problem at the moment." Anthony looked back at Mikey.
"Yeah, you're right." Will looked at Mikey.
Izzy then stood up.
"Wait, Will. You didn't hit him hard enough, we gotta go. He might wake up soon."
"Yeah, let's get out of here."
TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY YEET!
On the walk home, there was nothing but silence. Not a word. Back and forth there was a few glances and stares but nothing more. Till Izzy broke the silence.
"So, is anyone excited for the new year?"
They walked faster and faster.
"I guess, school is going to be our only free-bee since Mikey's going to high school." Will said.
"Yeah, but Mikey is a man of many ways and that won't stop him." Anthony's eye's followed the pavement that he walked on.
"Okay, guys I have an idea!" Izzy shouted.

The Next Day
*Izzy's P.OV*
The next morning I was as hyper as ever before. I was already half dressed since I woke up before my phone notifications could get to me. My style wasn't much of a change, but I decided if was time to lose the oval glasses and get a new red pair that faded clear in the front two frames. And the frames were much bigger, which for a more comfortable view.
As for my clothes, I vowed to turn down the jumpers a bit and put on a sweater instead.
I also cut my bangs, well I wanted to go to a hairdresser and get them properly cut but the moment I told my mom I wanted my bangs cut, she took a pair of scissors and cut them on the spot.
I leaped out the door full of excitement and into the elevator. I got to the bus stop in a flash, also meeting up with Dan.

"Mornin' Dan~" I rang.
"Well you're hyper today." He said looking her up and down.
"Yep." I smiled.
The bus pulled up right after that comment. We both boarded and sat in our usual seats.
"Hey, Izzy! Morning!" Anthony yelled with a bright smile.
For Anthony to say good morning was rare but we've done this on a loop for years. Every time it was the beginning of a new year. We were all on our best behavior.
"Good morning Anthony! Good morning Will! Hey, where's Westly?"
"Oh he's not going to this school anymore." Anthony looked as if he had lost a brother, but it was only a teammate, I don't understand.
"It's okay bro, you'll see your boyfriend again." Will teased.
"I AIN'T NO BATTY BOY!" Anthony yelled.
Everyone on the bus broke out laughing. It was too funny.
The bus stopped and so did the laughter. The class list was posted on the entering doors.

"Oh my god." Will mocked.
"Fham!" Anthony yelled.
"Yaas!" We all cheered.
All three of us ran up to classroom 209 and slowly walked into the room, the teacher herself wasn't even here yet. We looked around the room to see the desks in in 4 rows of 3 on each side. There was on desk of two at the very back on the left. It seems that everyone had already found their seats, we were the last ones to find ours. We sat in front of the pair of two.
They were two boys, I didn't really want to say 'Hi' they didn't seem very nice but today was the first day so I better make a good impression.
I turned and sat on my chair backwards. "Good mornin'!" I rang.
The smaller on to the left just kinda glared at me, but the other one seemed to be energetic.
"Good MORNING!" He yelled. "My names Aidan! Nice to meet chya!"
A few kids turned their heads to look at us.
"You're so loud." I whispered.
"I know." He whispered back.
"Who's your friend?" I asked tilting my head to what looked like a dead man.
"This is my best friend Brian, he's not in the best mood today." Aidan stated poking the dead body.
"Willy! I'm glad were in the same class this year!" Aidan began to raise his voice again.
"Yeah, me too." Will and Aidan did some sort of weird hand shake.
"Hey Anthony do you know him too?" I asked nicely.
"I ain't about that life." He groaned.

Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. See through the harrowing eyes of a man at his wit's end; through a dark fantasy tale of horror, hope, and desperation. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst! As this is an archive of Catalyst Quest (an interactive, collaborative story), the prompts that were included with the original run of Avowed have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete!
