《The Not So Boring Girl: Craig Tucker x NekoReader》Chapter Sixteen

*Your P.O.V.*
After school that day, I went home to talk to my parents to hang out with the guys. They didn't like the idea at all. However, I made the argument that I couldn't hide forever. My mother was the first to stand up for me, and she gave the permission to go. I just had to back before 9:00.
This was the first time, in a very long time, I was able to leave home and actually hang out with people. The last time was a few years ago, and one of the girls took off my beanie. We quickly left the town after that.
Thinking back to it, I started to worry. What if it happens again? I couldn't think like that. I had to remember that Craig had my back.
Just as I was overthinking everything, Craig texted me and told me he was here to pick me up. I quickly scurried outside and got in.
"Hey," he greeted.
His hair was wet. He had probably showered after practice.
I gave him a small smile in return. I was trying to ignore my nerves, but it was hard.
"You okay?" he asked.
"I-I guess I'm just a little nervous. I haven't been able to hang out with friends in a really long time- I haven't been able to make friends in a really long time actually..." I said.
"Is this because of—"
"Y-yeah," I cut him off.
"Well, everyone else in this town can fuck off. Nothing is going to happen," he reassured me.
I gave a bigger smile as we went to Clyde's house.
"Hey there are the two-love bird," Token greeted.
I gave him a shy smile in return as I sat on the couch.

"Are the others coming?" Craig asked.
Others? I thought it was just going to be these guys...my friends...
"Stan texted me and said they were on their way a bit ago. They should be here any minute," Clyde responded.
I nudged Craig and whispered, "Who's all coming?"
He leaned down to the top of my hat and responded, "Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and probably Butters."
"What the hell are you two doing?" Clyde asked.
I felt embarrassed as Craig had just spoke to the top of my head.
Craig just instantly flipped him off.
Just then the five other guys came into the house.
"Clyde, this place is always a dump. I hate when we come here," Cartman said. "It's almost as bad a Kenny's."
"Dude, my dad's always working to make payments. He doesn't have the time to clean," Clyde replied, setting up his Xbox.
"Well, maybe your mom- oh yeah that's right," he giggled to himself.
"Dude, fuck off, he doesn't need to be reminded that his mom died," Token snarled.
Eric Cartman. He terrified me. Ever since I arrived in South Park, I had watched him torment who ever he could. If he ever knew...I'd be a goner.
"Oi, what's this girl doing here? No one said we could bring our girlfriends," Eric complained.
"No kidding, you know how much less of a hassle it would be if Wendy could just come with," Stan added.
"No wants either Wendy or Heidi here," Clyde replied.
"(Y/N) was our friend before Craig and her started going out," Token added.
"Oh, I get it. Craig needs to date someone in the group, and since neither of you are fags, Craig had to use the new girl," Cartman commented.

I saw Craig tense up a bit.
"She's like one of the guys," Clyde argued. "Just hotter."
I knew Craig was about to say something, so I quickly spoke, "What if I play you in a round and win? Would that be enough?"
He eyeballed me a laughed, "Sure, and afterwards I'll send my mother a picture of my asshole."
"So, it's a deal?" I asked.
"He, yeah."
I almost offered to do something in return, but I knew there was no need be. After spending years away and hiding, I had gotten quite good at video games. I quickly schooled him in a round of COD, and oh my god, did he make the biggest deal out of it.
"GOD FUCKING DAMNIT! THIS FUCKING CONTROLER IS BROKEN!" Cartman yelled.
He spiked the controller to the ground.
"Dude!" Clyde panicked, picking it up to see if it was okay.
"Shut up, fatass; she beat you. Get over it," Craig said.
"Shut up you fag," Cartman grumbled.
He flipped him off and protectively wrapped his arm around be, looking unfazed.
"Dude that was totally awesome," Stan said.
"Who would've thought Craig could get the hot gamer girl," Kenny commented.
I looked to Craig, who kept the same stoic face, but when looking into his eyes, I could tell he was pretty pleased.
We spent the rest of the night, gaming, eating, and making crude jokes. When it was 8:30, Craig and I left. Craig wanted to make sure I made it home on time. I think he knew how nervous I really was about it. When he dropped me off, he gave me a goodnight kiss.
Who would've thought I could have a normal life...

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
