《Easy Is Boring ✓》Chapter Eight

Beck got suspended for punching Zach, who was admitted to the hospital. He was surprised he didn't get expelled, but he wasn't complaining.
He couldn't believe that douche would try and kiss Jade, didn't he know what would happen by now? Beck warned him, but he didn't listen.
He wished he would've broken more than a nose and a jaw.
Beck wasn't a violent person. He never was. But when it came to protecting someone he loved, he would kill if he had to.
No matter the consequences.
The tanned-skin Canadian stared up at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts as a someone pounded on his door.
He furrowed his brows in confusion, then stood up to open the door.
His eyes widened when he saw who was at the door.
"Mom?" He asked, "dad?"
Mom shot her son a glare. "You've gotten suspended twice the last two weeks, Beckett! What is going on with you?"
Beck let out a huff through his nose as he answered, "why do you care?"
Beck's father gave him an angered look. "Don't talk to your mother like that, boy. We care because we don't want our son getting into fights every five seconds!"
Beck let out an amused chuckle. "You've never cared before. So why now?"
Mrs. Oliver sighed heavily. "Beckett- "
"It's Beck."
"Your name is Beckett," his mother hissed. "I named you that, so I'll call you that. I'm your mother."
Beck became angry. "No, you're not my mother. You're just the woman who gave birth to me."
Mr. Oliver frowned at his son. "I don't know what has gotten into you, but you will not disrespect your mother like this."
"Again, not my mother," Beck's nostrils flared. "And you're not my father. Not one of you have acted like parents to me. Not since Ben died. You even allowed me to move out into this RV, just so you didn't have to deal with me. What kind of parents would let their child move out at the ripe age of fourteen?"

Mrs. Oliver frowned. "Listen to me, Beckett- "
"It's Beck, for god's sake!" He exclaimed, running his fingers through his hair in agitation. "Beck! That's my name! Not Beckett! God, how hard is that?!"
His father had about enough with his sons disrespect. "Your mother named you Beckett. That is your name. And you do not yell at your mother!"
Beck scoffed, rolling his eyes. He was so done.
"Get out."
His parents raised their eyebrows. "We're your parents, you cannot kick us out!"
"This is my RV," Beck replied. "This is my place. I live here. Remember? Cause you kicked me out? Your own child? If you're under my roof, you gotta go by my rules. And I say get out."
"Your brother would be so disappointed in you," his mother whispered, shaking her head at her son.
Beck swallowed thickly.
"No, he would be disappointed in you two," he responded quietly. "For kicking your last son out of your house. I'm still alive. Can't you guys see? I'm still here. But you guys don't even act like I exist anymore. That's on you."
His parents exchanged a glance, then turned back to their son.
"We're still grieving, son- "
Beck cut his father off. "No. Don't you dare use that excuse. Ben is gone. He is never coming back. I understand that losing a child must be horrible, but just because he is gone, does not mean you have to neglect your last son for almost twelve whole years!"
His mother let out a soft sob, causing his father to sigh.
"We'll finish this conversation later."
Beck scoffed, watching them walk out the door. "No, I don't think we will."
And he slammed the door, sliding down to the floor as he couldn't control the sobs that fell from his lips.

"This is a good song!" Cat exclaimed, reading over Jade's song she wrote for the Full Moon Jam.
"Thanks Cat," the goth responded. "You think Beck will take me back?"
"He'd be dumb not to," the perky red head giggled. "This song describes your relationship perfectly!"
"I know."
"He'll take you back, Jadey, don't worry." Cat smiled at her best friend, setting the pad of paper down on the bed. "Beck loves you."
A small smile graced Jade's lips. "I really hope he does."
Cat giggled again. "Wanna sleepover? My parents took my brother to this "special hospital" in San Francisco, and won't be back for a few days. I don't wanna be alone."
Jade sighed, shrugging. "Sure. I don't have anything important to do anyways."
"Yay! Can we make cupcakes?"
"Fine," the raven haired beauty sighed again. "But don't touch the oven until I'm in there with you."
"Kay-kay!" Cat instantly ran downstairs to the kitchen, and Jade went with her after a minute.
They got everything ready to make cupcakes, specifically red velvet ones, and began baking.
After they were done mixing the ingredients and pouring the batter into a cupcake pan, Jade stuck the pan into the oven.
"Okay," Jade announced, washing her hands in the sink. "Go pick out a movie and put it on, while we wait for the cupcakes to bake."
"Kay-kay!" Cat giggled, racing to the living room to pick out a Disney movie.
Jade pulled out her phone from her pocket, raising her eyebrows when she saw she had four missed texts from Andre, and two from Tori.
Andre: Beck is pretty messed up, Jade. He's with us at Tori's, something bout his parents.
Andre: He wants you, Jade.
Andre: He's begging for you, Jay.
Jade frowned. What did his parents do to him?
Vega: Beck's asking for you, Jade.
Vega: Come over, please.
Jade immediately turned off the oven, rushing into the living room.
"Change of plans, kitty."
"Why?"
"We gotta go to Vega's," Jade answered. "Beck needs me."
Cat nodded, hopping up from the couch. They both headed out the door, driving quickly to Tori's house.
They arrived finally, and Jade rushed up the doorsteps, knocking loudly on the door.
Tori opened it, a sad frown on her face. "He's been crying."
Jade rushed inside, seeing Beck on the couch, crying.
Cat gasped softly as she walked inside. She had never seen Beck cry before.
None of them have, except Jade.
She sat next to him, and he immediately buried his face in her neck, and she let him sob as much as he needed to.
