I shed my vulnerabilities, pain, guilt and disappointments like old, worn-out garments. Naked, I stepped over them towards the waterfall, baptizing myself with nature as my witness. On the other side, I stepped out and donned my armor. Due to its unassuming appearance, you would have been easily fooled. However, its strength lay in its sheer determination, resilience, grit, patience and courage. There was no room for pity in this new space, and fear was not welcome. I thought, 'If it is a war that they want, then that is what they shall get. Get your game face on because, unfortunately for you, I have nothing more to lose.'
