I felt there is

Life in random

As I sat on a sidewalk

With my legs crossed

Time eleven o five

On a flawless night

Tuning in to the flutter

Of a fallen dead leaf

I fixated on that one

As it glided to my feet

Twisting on a stone

As if in a dance to

The howl of a lone dog

That passed by me

Chasing the corner

Of life's old sleeve

I laid back on the mortar

To see no stars that day

My head on the cement

My torch on the sand

Its rays alit the dust

Cajoling a chimera

Of the dusk at night

Twirling like thoughts

In the realm of a mind

The sky looked angry

Where was the moon?

I waited in wonder

For hands of the clock

To meet each other

Ticking to the caress

Of a lover's content

N' the color in the clouds

To come alive for this noon

The beauty in trivial

Is the beauty of this june

My heart felt lethargic

To even leave this room

But the zephyrs of night

That floated to my face

Reminded me of home

N' of my eventual rise

Despite my dreams

That desired of delay

In leaving this road

N' walkin' back to mine

Hello! welcome back everyone!

I had a one-year writer's block on this one 😂

Started this after a night walk last year and FINALLY finished this today after writing 4 completely diff versions of it.

Anyways, I tried describing the beauty in seemingly trivial things, hope u enjoyed :))
