《Poems of Rain》4. Fall of a Feather

: contains a graphic description of death, murder, and depression.
____________
Death so languid
As fiery as a feather
That kisses the face
Of its demise as ever
Drowning deep down
With muffled screams
The strands so heavy
Just crying for peace
When eyes couldn't see
Beyond the interface
Its last breath of hope
Buried in waters beneath
Was it like the tales?
Was there a holy light?
Or was it bleak black
all over the other side
I wonder what it saw
walking by the rails
Of the spindly bridge
On the river of life
A Tale of Death
The Fall of a Feather
A voice of dreams
Just gone forever
There were hundreds
Of feathers like it
Oblivious and happy
Playing with glee
They were all puppets
In a useless scheme
It wondered why
It wasn't like them
Tons of conversations
Not a single one with it
A room full of feathers
But no friends to greet
View of its lonely corner
Everyone in a jolly dance
While it was suffocating
On tears that tear apart
Once it was too
With all of them
The others on the wings
Of the heaven they said
But it couldn't keep up
With the glory of them
It tried n' tried its best
But it still went in vain
Pain was a pinch of salt
Always the right amount
Not a life without knives
Nor a death with smiles
For it was forever
The last in the line
Defenseless little thing
That was barely even alive
The dark couldn't help
Dragging this easy claim
To the edge of its mind
Where the evils dwell
Just a little push
Was all that it took
To fall from grace
For falling loose
N' the lake of dark
Kept beckoning it
Knew no mercy
Under its placid phiz

Nobody looked back
Nobody gave a call
No one even realized
It wasn't there anymore
Smiles and hopes
All faded to none
As it kept falling
And falling alone
Down as it goes
Limbs flailing around
It chokes, it suffers
In this peaceful town
Water in the throat
Freezing up its heart
Right up to the end
Before it could even start
Selfish it may be
As it found its calm
Not a hero of any sort
And it was fine by that
Sun was on the horizon
Casting shadows of allure
On the ghastly waters
Of this tranquil lake
That can rival the sky
In its beauty and art
Just close your eyes
And let go at last
Death as languid
As a fiery feather
That kisses the face
Of its demise as ever

So here is another poem. This one is quite dark and can have several interpretations. I would love to hear yours, u can comment here or message me on my account.
One of the interpretations is of depression, falling loose of all expectations, and eventual death. But this poem has another storyline sorta too, I would like to explain that a bit.
Now, I know some people disagree with explanations and want stuff to be left to interpretations, so you don't have to read this. But this is one of the possibilities.

For the imagery of this poem, we imagine that there's this huge bird on which all these feathers are (the bird is the society).
So the bird is flying over a lake. And then there is this feather that falls off the bird and falls in the lake and sinks in it. Hence, 'the fall of a feather'
So, there's this feather(metaphorically a person), and this person is sorta different from others by just the way it thinks or does things or an overall representation of someone who is different in terms of social norms and convention....like LGBT people for eg.
This is a sad story about its suffering and how it died.
In a line it says, they are "puppets in a scheme' referring to other people who are normal, are living their lives happily by following the formula aka scheme put out for them.
They don't see the big picture, so these people kinda shun our protagonist bcz he is diff.
The "dark" we r talking abt in this poem can be taken in several ways. For eg, let's say we r in some old kingdom of monarchy and there is our feather who supports democracy, so the "dark" is the people who are against our feather person.
Since he is alone, he is an easy target, they drag him out and kill him by drowning him.
Hope u enjoyed :)

2nd Floor
Matthias is a struggling writer finally able to move into his first solo apartment. He's thrilled to have a place free of roommates and siblings, even though the building is decrepit and is inhabited by an odd assortment of people including an intrusive neighbor, a little girl who wanders freely, and an overweight orange cat named Cheese. As Matthias settles in things begin getting stranger. Something vile is growing in the dark and it's coming from somewhere on the second floor... where Matthias happens to live.Author's note: this is me trying to get back to my roots: a character driven novella with horror elements. The story of people struggling against an inscrutable enemy, as well as the day to day trials of being poor in America. I have no idea how often I'll update or even exactly how this will all go down because y'girl is a panster. So strap in because this is the first draft and you all get to see it being born!Feel free to comment whatever comes to mind, and helpful critiques are always welcome.
