《Poems of Rain》1. Inking Rain

Black drops

Of inking rain

Staining my umbrella

In hues of disdain

Slithering down

The metallic frame

Falling at the tips

Of my frail fingers

Tingling on the skin

Feeling as if freedom

Will reign again

They fall at my feet

Splashing on my shoes

Chilling up my nerves

Telling me to run

Away from the big city

Away from its walls

And the ghastly gates

Cause breezing blooms

From its fake flowers

Is like the dry ice

On my bloody mane

Now as I walk

On this lonely lane

With only a lamp

Flaring its heat

I do look back

To those shiny streets

But I don't want them

For all I wish is to let go

Of my pretty umbrella

And soak in the ink

As long as it rains

First of all, thank u for giving my poems a chance!

So I keep changing the sequence a bit 😅 for the flow of the book.

I finished this poem yesterday. If u can't tell, I'm a person who really appreciates rain 😂. I believe that rain can express a range of various contradictory emotions well.

Fun fact: I started this poem after drawing a sketch of a rainy day and it rained right after that! the first rain of this season!

I hope you enjoyed reading :) I really appreciate your time.
