tis such a strange thing.
a symbol of red-lipped happiness
that hides so much pain.
behind the curtains,
the demons scream for release.
the icy tears form,
and the agony will never cease.
a smile,
oh, a smile so often lies.
of the millions of unspilled tears,
that it attempts not to cry.
behind the plastered grin,
the demons screech and scratch.
a cold scream bursts,
muffled out behind the red-lipped mask.
