A heavy silence sits between

Unwashed floors and walls

That hide the pain of the unwell

Sitting in a windowless room where

Memories bounce off each wall

Impairing my senses

Screams echo between hall ways;

This must be what Hell feels like,

Dormant clouds of fear hang over

Each person;

They aren't lonely they are simply alone in the walk called life

Not one of us stands a chance

To survive

For the days in this prison

Have beaten us down to nothing.
