For I have lost myself

Beneath the dark waves

And burned out candles of

Yesterday's past

All I have left

Are the small whispers

Of who I used to be

And even these small slivers

Become frustratingly numb

Underneath the brokenness

And organized chaos of my life

Silent tears will slip down

As I try to grab at the pieces

That slipped away years ago

But they swirl around my head

Mocking me of who I used to be
